Yay? I'm still waiting on someone to tell me what Brad Idzik actually does. -
Panthers promote coach to pass game coordinator

This is good keep everything the same with the Offense and help Bryce continue to improve -
I’d have rather seen a pick from forcing a ball to TMac or Coker
-
I don’t remember a lot talk about this year. But we may be in the market in 2027 and I am for the deepest class we can get.
-
It's weird. Game on the line, Bryce would force it to AT. He refuses to do that to Coker or TMac it seems. And I think at times you need to let your playmakers make plays
-
Maybe. This was also supposed to be a very strong QB class and it turned out not to be(I never bought into this idea, FWIW). We will see how it goes and who is available.
-
to my knowledge there isnt any crown jewel guys going to be available in FA https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/early-look-at-2026-nfl-free-agency-ranking-top-50/ I dont consider Trey H a marquee name anymore. Tyler L probably isnt leaving balt, if he does it will be pricey and not even sure if he matches with our offense, would love phillips but phillys not letting him leave, Rasheed walker (maybe) but he may be a bit expensive. Like you said, build through the draft and lets not get too horny about trying to make a move in the playoffs this year
-
Well the more the merrier for the 2027 draft pool. just adding that I am not sure a year in one system and a year in another is a net positive. Confuses most guys and stunts their short term performance. It does in the pros. The only advantage I believe a player gets from that constant learning different systems is once they have been through a few years of it and it has chance to sink in, they can identify the commonalities between the different terminologies and will adapt quicker. So you can get a guy like that to come in and get on the same page pretty quickly.

We really could have an issue with Horn’s concussions. I wouldn’t want to mortgage anything past what we have right now, at the moment.
-
I really liked a lot of what I saw in his presser. Someone said he was really dumb, I don’t think so. Maybe, like a lot of people, he is dumb about some stuff but I believe he knows football and defense especially. What I didn’t particularly want to hear was the all in on Bryce but if he is right, I can go along. We’ll see if he is right.
-
Hunt should probably be left alone and then moved after 2026 or restructured to make that cut less cap impactful. We cannot keep paying a guy that much at RG, especially when he isn't a truly elite IOL. Brown is definitely a candidate for some restructuring and maybe an extension. Horn's deal is freshly inked and it's very favorable for us. We can get out of it with fairly miminal cap implications in 2027. I wouldn't touch that one.
-
I can see Dan being aggressive in FA like the other years but he really values draft picks so I cant see any trades going down.
-
I’d point to the Rams win and those two 4th TDs but I am sure there is plenty of poo you can point to as well. Whatever game it was with the clusterfug last second FG miss would suffice. Where it was so rushed and the kicker slipped. Mixed bag. Edit. Saints game maybe, for that rushed FG blunder. Was that 1st half? My memory sucks… Some other end of 1st half stuff fits. Yeah the same thing that happened Saturday happened another time. Want to say maybe it was the Saints too.

there were really 2 games this season where Dave and Bryce were pressed to the move the ball with a legit time constraint forced on them.....both times, the ball never moved an inch in 4 downs. Dave Canales needs every single rep he can get next preseason. He he needs to quickly move on from his mindset last year that he has arrived and doesn't need work.
-
Yes, this has happened several times already. Moore being a current example. It is overwhelmingly a net positive for the NFL.
-
the Capers way is basically the primary flaw of the Evero D. Prevent the big play. Let offenses nickel and dime you. That's not the defensive mindset of my preferred defensive folks.
-
It was kind of the opposite of a lot of "good" Bryce games. He does nothing until the end of the game, and we somehow win the game. This game he was pretty good for most of the game and did nothing on the final drive.
-
I don’t mind Dom as much, don’t see what he could be hurting. And on the flip side I don’t know what Caldwell could be helping. I always associated him with the pro Bryce cabal though, rightly or wrongly. Long as they aren’t hurting things I guess it doesn’t matter.
-
this seems logical, I just know the media is pushing dan to make a "splash" this offseason, basically going all in on 26. For the most part Dan has pushed back (listen to his presser and interviews on fnz) so thats good he wants to build and not shoot for the moon next year.
-
I think Dave is horrific in big moments. But you can't excuse Bryce from that final drive. And I mean, Bryce played a great game for Bryce. I'm not trying to overly bash him. He gave us way more than he generally does. But if we are talking any other QB in final drive scenario......not moving the ball one inch w/ 4 downs is going to be a QB convo to some extent.
-
He's not gonna work out. Every team has the same flaws. Inconsistent shooting, bad shot selection, no defense. When the Same issues keep popping up year after year as the players change it's clear where the issue lies. Without that fluke hot streak resulting in a run to the championship game in his first season he's honestly probably already gotten himself fired. Our transfers are having a lot of success elsewhere. Elliott Cadeau is the starting PG for #4 Michigan. Tyler Nickel is averaging 15ppg for #10 Vanderbilt. Cade Tyson is averaging over 21ppg fir Minnesota. Hubert barely let Nickel and Tyson off the fuging bench. The guy can't evaluate talent and he can't coach. He's gotta go. Take Wilson and Veesaar off this roster and it's 8-20 all over again.
-
Well Tepper probably liked Frank more because he liked the 3-4. Because we had been running it. So I don’t know what that tells me about who hired Evero. You might be right and Frank wanted him. Or he could have been just another Tepper/Fitterer idea. There were a few of them in 2023. I thought. Then, Evero was put on Canales or retained independently, however you want to see it. Did not leave with Frank, when most of Frank’s people were out of here. I certainly don’t know it’s just what I thought was going on.
-
I'm just as tired as watching Bryce as anyone. But that loss is more on Dave than anyone.
-
Given it's rookie Jimmy Horn Jr who probably caught 4 balls all season downfield....throwing it down and behind him probably does matter. It's the whole Bryce conundrum. His role is to lift boats. Instead it's the rookie who doesn't really get passes needed to make all the adjustments.
-
the real sin here is..... game on the line. 4 downs. We didn't get one ball to the hands of Tmac or Coker. That's a choice. final play and we are going to Jimmy Horn Jr? Losing is fine. Not catching the ball is fine. Going to down swinging and not taking a swing w/ the dudes he got you there is the sin. And it's a choice made. I could live w/ 89 not catching a ball in double coverage to win the game. You got to go to the dudes that matter in the big moments. I put that sad final drive on both Dave and Bryce
