All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.

Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then. He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.

I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.

Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that. Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way. I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough. However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different. Anyway, Roll Tide!

Inappropriate relationship with a team staffer, followed up with some stalking behavior, and ultimately a felony home invasion charge from a visit at her apartment that culminated in him threatening her life and his as well.

Icky has had a great year. He only struggled last game because he got hurt before halftime.

It’s definitely some sort of trigger point for some people. You can’t mention one thing Bryce has done well without a full meltdown. I’ve never seen anything like it… Yeah at this point he still needs a pretty big jump in his development to earn a 2nd contract IMO.

If the Bucs can trot Vea out there why cant we copy. It's a copycat league and we copy the garbage

The Carolina Panthers aren't ass!
Pejorative Miscreant replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
You left out throwing drinks on opposing fans, bullying local business owners and bringing music to Charlotte but everything else is spot on. -
I've been saying since his second season that I wish they'd move him to guard and look for a different left tackle. He seems to have done better this season though, enough that several people are talking about paying him as a left tackle.

I already know I'm probably going to regret asking this, but I haven't kept up on college football much over the last month or more, so I'll go ahead and ask: What happened at Michigan to get the coach tossed?
-
Neither would I, and I've said that previous years as well. But there were rumors that Tepper really liked him and wanted to hand him the keys to the franchise. That idea made me cringe

The Case for(or Against) Drafting/Signing a TE
Mr. Scot replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Anymore? Yeah, pretty much -
Over previous years? Sure is

An odd little vibe I've noticed here of late: some folks are "all or nothing" to an absolutely extreme level when it comes to Bryce. Here's a bit of truth telling though: There are, in fact, things Bryce does well. Likewise, there are areas in which he's improved over his time here. He has, on several occasions now, legitimately helped us win games. On the flipside, there have been failures in other areas as well as coaching that we're not in any way his fault. And finally , it is also genuinely possible that the team may see him as the future, even if we don't. The craziest part, though? It's actually possible that they're right and we're wrong. All of this is true, and more, yet if you accept any of these premises people go from zero to apesh-t in under three seconds Anything less than total disavowal of Bryce and / or agreement that he's the worst QB of all time and suddenly you're a "stan". Oy The reality though? Bryce is indeed an NFL quarterback. Not a great one, probably backup level good, and I've seen way worse. Now, if you run that statement through your personal Google translator and it comes back with some version of "I want to throw 50 million a year at Bryce for the next 10 years", that's not really my issue it's yours I don't wanna make him the franchise quarterback, but it's not my call. Win or lose, the team is going to do what they think is best. And as always, if it disagrees with what I think we should do, I'm gonna hope I'm the one who's wrong. Internet clout means nothing. Watching my favorite team win at my favorite sport meas fun

I like Icky but he was the wrong tackle to take. Learning run blocking is much easier than learning pass blocking. Cross was pass pro ready. He was the tackle we should have taken without hesitation.
-
Never saw this angle of the Tyson fight either lol.
-
Interesting Gonna have to watch the distribution in the future...
-
And then we proceeded to have an OC design plays around a zone blocking scheme in Young's rookie season. I remember that discussion well.

Also think he broke a rib from hitting the net as fast as he did.

Speaking of Netflix and WWE, one Paul brother actually finally got a real ass beating lol.
-
He messed up his shoulder, the one that was already shot to hell. He might have to finally get surgery on it if what I think happened on the tripping play. He landed with all his weight on the injured shoulder and then went into the net.
