We've been talking about contract. The contract wasn't stupid by any stretch. His play on the field since he signed it is proof. The trouble you're having is separating his contract and play on the field with the Panthers handling and trade of him afterwards. I 100% think it was dumb to trade him. I understand the thinking but I would still much rather have kept him.

This is why the panthers have the leverage, you either pay up with a decent trade package and if you don’t the Panthers have a good receiver on their team.

If loyalty is worried about Moton having a all pro season, then fleecing us for more then 40 million he may want to investigate this thing we have called "the franchise tag". Its a new invention that I believe we have used before.....hmmm...I wonder on who

I'm personally happy that we extended him. There has been no on field issues do to these knee issues that wouldn't have been even public knowledge. He's not being paid for what he's done in the past. He's been paid what he's worth to retain another 3 seasons.

First of all, we have an offense. Any decent QB can thrive with our O-line, WRs and RBs. Secondly, you don't get better on offense by trading away one of the top five receivers in the league. Thirdly, their FO was crap. Lastly, we're not going about business in a way that's assuming Bryce Young isn't the answer.

Ask them if they're worth two 1sts when you might not have a QB. Give them the full picture. Three years ago we traded two 1sts and more for a QB and we're unsure if he's the solution so should we now turn around and do the same for an elite pass rusher? I don't think you'd find anyone who would tell you that's smart roster management.

The riskiest decision we could make right now is giving another massive wad of guaranteed money to an over 30 OT who is battling chronic knee issues who is still under contract this year.

Giving him the deal isn't the crazy part. It's the fact that it's 93% guaranteed and that this year was added into that amount with a salary conversion to SB. (where he had none guaranteed previously this year)

JJ Watt was generational and the Texans never did anything with him during his prime because they never put an offense on the other side of the ball. Was really hoping we could get that 4th, and I love all that Thielen has been for us. But bigger picture, and with the opportunity to package that 4th in another trade down the line I would've loved to make it happen. If he's sticking around I hope he kills it this year and keeps making an impact on the young guys.

You're comparing Brady to Moton like it's equal. Really? And quit lying. Moton just turned 31. He'll turn 33 two years from now at the start of the 2027-28 season. This was a smart and fair deal for both sides and is exactly the kind of move good GM's make.

I disagree. Parsons is generational, and the opportunity to get Parsons, regardless of where we are, or people may think that we are, if you can make it work, you grab him.

Players, GMs and coaches? He was hiring from the same pool as everyone else. When he hired Rhule, Rhule was a hot name. Where he made his error was giving Rhule all that control (and a long contract, but Tepper had to pay that). Hiring the hot name from college and the coach and GM pool is not indicative of any genius, it's just business as usual as far as I'm concerned. I mean, if he had come in and hired Ben Johnson in the beginning, for example, and Johnson became a wunderkind, then we could say, "that was genius." Moreover, I think it's worth noting that Tepper was a new (majority) owner and still trying to figure things out. He learned relatively quickly that it wasn't as easy as he thought. Moreover, I think it's somewhat safe to assume that Morgan wasn't the first or second choice, and we already know that Canales wasn't. Bryce Young was our first choice, but he was covered by several teams, including the Texans, so, like I said, "business as usual, nothing genius."
