I mean, you can get away with a "straight line" style linebacker under some circumstances. I don't think we use him under those particular circumstances though, so...
-
Indeed, and thats the thing he exells at the hybrid west coast spread/ air coryell PA shots that Canalles likes to take.
-
its the same poo over and over and over
-
I like how AT is now being treated like XL in order to defend Bryce Young lol.
-
Invested since 2023 to try and make brycey successful..... 2 first round WRs including a top ten pick 1 2nd round WR 2 highest at signing paid offensive guards 67% OF THE TEAMS TOTAL SALARY CAP INVESTED ON OFFENSE. Completly disregarding Theilin who was 32 at the time of signing and produced well for us because hes fallen of a cliff at age 36 is ridiculous. Same goes for Dionte Johnson he was a threat when he played.

Saying the right things in front of the camera at a holiday event for kids....doesn't mean poo lol We have 2 pro sports teams and his business dealings to actually judge Tepper off of. Nothing says he is going to let a losing coaching (with no history of doing anything) start from scratch at year 4. And again, that extends way beyond Tepper to other teams at that point. Coaches don't get that sort of time in today's world. you just want to argue things at this stage because none of that is rooted in what we know if Tepper.

A big part of my interest in Howell is skill set. He's best suited for the kind of WCO style attack we use. I don't think the team would give him a shot to start barring injury, but you can never say what'll happen. (had Drew Bledsow stayed healthy, Tom Brady might be back in Michigan coaching high school football)

Chink in Jaycee Horns armor/Achilles heel
CanadianCat replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Im not going to blame JC. He ALMOST intercepted the ball on that play as well. He is one of the best DB's we have ever had. I would like to see him shadow their best WR more often but thats a scheme thing thats not on him. I trust him in the biggest moments. -
Panthers Leaders in Missed Tackles
LinvilleGorge replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Missing 25% of your tackle attempts is wild. You better be prime Deion Sanders in coverage to make up for that, not getting smoked to give up crucial 4th quarter TDs. -
Eehhh, again not really. Canales said he doesn't like using Bryce in QB sneaks due to his size. It's a stretch to call that , "limiting the playbook". All that said, bring back Robert Hunt, get a better center next season, keep the rest of the line healthy... hell, I'd volunteer to trot my cane using / sub 200 pound / damn near 60 year old ass under center for a sneak (Canales probably wouldn't put me in though)
-
Agreed like I said I hope we sign a QB in the offseason like Winston or Howell who can actually run Cannales offense without handcuffs I think a lot of DCs problems stem from not being able to do what he wants and being so handicapped play calling wise that he "out smarts himself"
-
I see a lot of people on twitter suggesting Mitchell Evans (former QB) or even one of the RBs do the QB sneak. And while yes I agree that's better than just not having it in the playbook the problem is the defense KNOWS youre about to do it. Now Philly does this all the time with no problem but they are a very unique situation. But if we're inches away from a first, just give it to evans or tremble and let them fall forward. Hell even XL

Play point guard while throwing to… in 2023: Mingo - bust. Hurt/hasn’t done a thing in Dallas. Well on his way out of league Chark - no longer in league Hurst - no longer in league Marshall - hasn’t done a thing Sullivan/Strachan - pretty much same dude. Both not playing Thielen - hasn’t done a damn thing since he left Carolina Miles Sanders - nothing 2024: Legette - rookie WR who still has no idea what he’s doing Mingo - see above Coker - when he did play/healthy he was solid Thielen - see above Sanders - bust Diontae Johnson - headache. Out of league. Failed on 12 teams in 2024 There’s more names but again all irrelevant and doing nothing in the league. This is the crap and turnover Bryce has dealt with the first two seasons. Given the type of QB Bryce is he stood no chance with these guys. We’re finally seeing improvement because there’s some consistency at least now. It would be nice if we could get Bryce a tight end worth a Damn so he could use the middle of the field more often. Plus we’ve had 10 different OL combinations this season as well or something absurd What an absolute disaster this has been since the trade up.

I mean we are limited in our options realistically, Howell is a Baker esque player who put up 4k and 22tds in his one year starting... with no weapons and a horrible oline. Oh I'm sure out the gates he wouldnt have a chance vs teppers golden brycey but if we stumble out he gates again Canales may injury list him again to try and save his job.

Metaphorical comparisons never seem to land successfully in this forum
-
I mean his own coach just blew up the narrative that he was big enough and wasnt limiting the play calling. His own coach, who like I said earlier, has some some wacky ass poo all year.
-
Except he's not. He referenced Brees and Wilson in reference to the ages at which they started trending up. Oddly enough though, both Brees and Wilson share a similar playing style (i.e. "point guard" type WCO distributor).
-
If he was 5'9 and 180 lbs he wouldn't be a NFL tight end because he isn't capable of playing the position to its maximum potential due to physical limitations. Catching a pass is irrelevant because he is physically incapable of performing half of the position requirements.
-
That was me when I retorted the front office clearly expected him to be a brees/Wilson hybrid.
-
You act like he is going to fill that slight frame out and suddenly grow 2 inches to be the same height (yes I know Brycey is WWE billed height at 5'10 but its obvious they measured his hair he's 5'8 on a good day I've met him at training camp myself I'm just a shade over 6'0 barefoot and he comes up to the bottom of my chin. Getting older also isn't gonna magically make him grow a pair of balls.
-
Hell, Shough is 26 (I think) and had some injury issues during his college years. I know Saint fans are happy with him so far but it's still a small sample his age likely means a shorter pro career assuming he stays healthy (which you can't assume). The Saints would be wise to keep an insurance policy, and probably a better one than Spencer Rattler.

Bryce runs them just fine. We just have low IQ coaches. video_2000641565145063637.mp4

we are comparing Bryce to Brees again Holy fuging poo this magic

Panthers Leaders in Missed Tackles
electro's horse replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lmao he’s on the leadership council The thing that makes him stand out so bad is that he is just sprinting every single time and when he misses he’s not even close. The guy is amazing at physical comedy. A modern day Buster Keaton.
