They have unloaded assets on offense and defense. Nothing that was too detrimental. Not Purdy, Jones. Jones could net a 3rd or so. -
Why not just draft him if we had interest in him? Why would you give the Browns a pick a round up from what they spent to draft a guy their coaches are hellbent on not playing? People gotta realize that dude looked like the hottest trash except for when he was playing against our camp bodies.
-
I haven't been dialed in these days. I thought some D guys slipped away. Im not sure how tradable Purdy is at that price. Honestly with a staff that makes that level of QB look good offloading should be a given, any way they can IMO. I don't want it to be us that I do know.

Why on earth would Sanders have appreciated in value? He's worth a conditional 7th, at best.

A new coach and GM would be more likely to cut Sanders. To hell with giving a pick for him.
-
Well, as a guy "on a the internet" there is no question that 95% of the Huddle knows more about football than David Tepper. Why don't you take a gander at his football "background?"
-
would rather trade for the Bears backup Qb Tyson Bagent & draft a Qb in 2026 ...just saying
-
He has left multiple games this season with that shoulder injury. I think it happened in the first or second game and he has been nursing it the entire season.
-
Jones would likely just look like Jacksonville or late stage New England versions of himself again. Not terrible but below average to average.
-
I'd wouldn't have a problem with that at all. The Browns could then walk away with a higher draft pick than the one they used on him and losing a 4th round pick wouldn't damage us too much heading into 2026. I was browsing Cleveland website yesterday. There are already rumblings that Berry and Stefanski are on the hot seat. Some are saying Stefanski is more in danger of getting fired. Some are saying thst goes for both of them. If the GM goes, then you know the coach is right behind him. A new GM/Coach combo are going to want "their guy" and would likely be more than willing to nab a 4th to get Sanders out of the building.
-
Ahhh okay that makes more sense. Sophomore slumps happen but this was clearly much more.

Caserio is a smart personnel guy. They aren't going to be moving on from Stroud unless he collapses the rest of this year and next year too. I don't think they will hesitate at all to pick up that 5th year option this offseason. AR will definitely not get picked up and I wouldn't be surprised to see us pass on the 5th too.
-
Everything Tepper does is lightspeed stupid and I agree that this would be yet another, stupid move.

No. They let talent walk because they have a LOT of big contracts and they can't afford them all. If you look at their drafting, it's been stellar so it really is a transitional period. Don't get me wrong, I hope they collapse. I fuging hate them. But, that's not really the reality, sadly. It would be a hilarious thing for him to attempt to hold out. It wouldn't work, they would just put Purdy back in and roll out as if nothing happened. They are similar level players. I will be curious to see if they opt to trade him in the offseason and get some draft capital. I would if I were the 49ers. -
Close. I am not convinced Stroud is close to their issues. That's the kind of QB to jump on if it's a bad team doing something dumb tho. Maybe the only trade I would be open for a QB.
-
Didn't they already let tallent walk to sign him to that contract? That also doesn't include guys they could have brought in with that cap. For a guy who signed that size of contract I have a hard time seeing him be happy with a more reasonable contract without going through the wringer like Baker did to get to Tampa. Even then he is no Baker either. If anything SF has been stalled around QB play so going Mac Jones is another lateral move really just escaping terrible contract they gave to Purdy.
-
That's not really a physical attribute. That's purely part of the "brain" aspect is what I mean. There is no physical reason that he cannot throw an accurate pass.
-
He doesn't tick the accuracy box and didn't in College either.
-
He has had a shoulder injury the entire season. Probably should not be playing at all.
-
I would bite their hand off if they look to move Stroud.
-
Holy crap you aren't kidding. 15% drop rate, only a 50% catch rate. What's going on with him? Approximately the same targets per game but a huge drop in production... I haven't really paid any attention but that's an insane drop off.

Hurricanes D Legault out 3 to 4 months after hand surgery The Carolina Hurricanes announced that defenceman Charles Alexis Legault had surgery to repair multiple torn extensor tendons in his right hand on Monday. He is expected to miss three to four months recovering. Damn. Sucks for the kid. Heal up well and bank that NHL paycheck while you get right! Seems like such a freak thing. But, I'm always amazed more stuff like this doesn't happen in a sport where players fight with knives on their feet.
-
Overpaying for Jones would be a trade and that would be lightspeed stupid. Also, there isn't a dramatic difference between the New England, Jacksonville and SF versions of Mac Jones. The biggest differences are Kyle Shanahan and the SF roster versus the poo he had with New England and Jax.
-
Why not throw a 4th rounder at Shedeur Sanders and let's see what happens. Dalton is gone after this year so they are going to have to get a vet anyway and I doubt Bryce is going anywhere although I also doubt that they give him a long term contract.
