  1. Past hour
  2. Has that been said anywhere? Not hating on you, just curious.
  3. I've tried to explain how crazy this deal is. Let's recap tho. Counting this seasons contract changes. Has 14m more guaranteed then shows in his new contract because the team converted some of his salary in 2025 to an additional signing bonus. So the two year 44m with 40m guaranteed deal from the extension is really a 3 year deal (4 with void year to spread signing bonus hit) worth 58.3m dollars with a staggering 54.2m guaranteed. Which puts him at the following among RT. 6th in APY at 19.4m 1st in GPY at 18m
  4. I cannot remember the last time we actually used a franchise tag on a player..............oh wait...............
  5. again, odd hell for him to die on, I bet he wishes he had that one back. Panthers make a dumb decision, San fran capitalizes on it and Loyalty tries to dunk on the huddle because of it. Whew boy you can tell who started drinking at lunch
  6. after the first month his price would go down and I doubt we could get more then a 6th depending on the records. If you can get a reasonable 4th and not have to pay his entire salary then fug it why not
  7. The franchise tag is there as a last resort. There was zero reason to rush this.
  8. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Odd take, "yeah it worked out fine for the guy we paid and the team we traded him to, us not so much, but you are dumb anyway" Damn dude dont ever change
  9. Sell him for the Bojangles biscuit after the first month and we've seen our WR's do well in actual games. Don't do it before we know what we have.
  10. Btw that was the only defense last year that played twice against the Bryce led offense which uh is not a good sign
  11. It worked out great for San Francisco and CMC. He earned every cent of that contract. Was in the running for league MVP, played in and nearly won a Super Bowl and got on the cover of Madden. Even with hindsight of these facts, the fact that you are trying to make a case that it was stupid to resign him is plain stupid on so many levels.
  12. Falcons game at 7 on NFL Network, don't know if anyone will play worth watching. With starting RT and backup RT candidates for the PUP list to start the season, that will be a problem for them. Might be fun to watch the struggle
  13. Having to pay his salary and only getting a 5th (or even 4rth) really doesnt make sense all things considered.
  14. This roster was constructed with AT's salary and contributions in mind. Selling him off right before week 1 does not make sense unless the return is significant.
  15. For us to eat salary, and then being the team interested and in need, I would demand a 3rd to do it. otherwise, we are just fine as is.
  16. LOLOLOLOLOL You think a team is going to give him more then a 40million deal after this season no matter how well he played? Goddamn. You would think, after seeing Brady and others test the fa market only to come crawling back for minimum deals that Morgan simply would have waited and rolled the dice on seeing what a 33 year old RT with bum knees would sign for with the team that drafted him.
  17. The idea that we would eat any of his salary is absurd unless it's for a 4th
  18. Because the more you wait, the more the price goes up and it goes up fast. Ask Jerry Jones how waiting on Dak and Lamb and Parsons is working out for their salary cap. The guy basically said he has to ice down his knees after practice and quit dunking at the rec center and ya'll talk like he Hulk Hogan back from the dead for one more match. Keep ignoring the part of the same sentence where he says it's nothing that other linemen in the NFL don't deal with. Or the later article where he says, "NO KNEE PROBLEMS. THE KNEES ARE FEELING GOOD." We paid the man because he's still shown the ability to play at an elite level and the options in upcoming free agency for potential replacement. How quickly we forget the wasteland that was LT between Gross retiring and getting Icky. Byron Bell Michael Oher Mike Remmers Matt Kalil Chris Clark Dennis Daley Greg Little Russell Okung Trent Scott Michael Schofield Many times the cost of not resigning a player is more costly what you pay. We paid out the nose to have the oline be a strength of the team and because of an offhand comment you wanna open up RT to be a turn style for however long it may take to find another starter. Ya'll making Skip Bayless look like a member of Mensa.
  19. Like I just said, Thielen is much more important to the team than the 5th/6th round pick they would get in return.
  20. The Exhibit’s Josina Anderson reports the Vikings are “not likely” to trade for Panthers WR Adam Thielen “at this point.” That makes two national reporters who have pumped the brakes on a potential Thielen-Vikings reunion. Both Anderson and The Athletic’s Dianna Russini highlighted the potential deal’s financial speed bumps while also stopping short of fully ruling out the trade between the two teams at some point. If the Panthers are willing to take on some of Thielen’s contract to facilitate the trade, the Vikings might be willing to make the move.
