  2. I think if there was one team to want to play, it would be the Seahawks and you hope Darnold playing on the road in a big game looks like the Darnold of old in those situations. Hope Horn can take away JSN from him and force Darnold to beat you elsewhere. I think that would be much better than playing a Ben Johnson coached team, who you know is going to pull stuff out in the playoffs that the other team has no way of being ready for.
  3. A lot of people lying to themselves in here.
  4. I thought the Panthers game was just a fluked as the two previous games didn't go that well for him but like you pointed out, he has played well since then so they may have lucked into something. Of course once teams have some tape on him things may change but regardless, he has looked good. It will be our luck that he plays against us like Bryce plays against the Falcons lol
  5. 67% in the 3 starts if you exclude the Carolina start. Kid was at 69 and 68% the last 2 weeks. Pretty impressive and he ain’t playing check down ball. shocked if he could keep it up but that’s a pretty wild start for him
  6. Well if you take out the Panthers game it's more like 64% comp, .75 TD's per game and 1 INT per game. He made the Panthers' D look terrible. However, I do think he is much better than anyone expected and I agree that you build the team.
  7. Build around him. Build the line. Get him some weapons. Keep looking for QB2.
  8. He's... Averaging over 200 yards a game?! How is that possible?!
  9. I actually haven’t paid attention to him, figured he just had a really lucky day vs us. Saw some guys on Twitter hyping him and it turns out given his circumstances the kid is playing really well.
  10. So if the stars all line up and the Panthers somehow win the division and the Bears win out BUT lose to the Packers twice, then we would be the #4 team in the playoffs and would face the Bears here at home. The odds are long it would happen but I would love to see that game.
  11. Meet what criteria? These are used in analyzing the whole picture of a performance, not in game as much. For that you really have to use the eye test or have your stats with tendencies already ready. Analytics don't go out the door. It's why the 4th down passes work. Tendencies said expect short play in that situation, not a deep shot. We gambled twice and beat the odds. Hit it and you're a hero, miss it and you're a zero. If I had to rank them in order of difficulty, I'd say 1. Short pass to Coker to seal it 2. TMac pass 3. Coker pass 4. Chuba pass Coker pass to seal it was the highest pressure pass he threw. Defense knew it was the game if he hit it. TMac throw was a very nice throw. He was helped by the play call. Deep throw on 4th down in a short yardage situation. Not the call the defense was really looking for. DC made the play call. Bryce executed. Coker throw. See above but Coker was more open. Still a good throw. Chuba. I expect any NFL QB to make this throw. Cam actually struggled with these at times because he threw so hard. Bryce gets credit for the TD toss, but it was really all Chuba after the catch.
  12. So you're New Orleans. Do you draft a QB or get him some help. As it stands they are top 5 pick.
  13. 68% comp, 235 yards, 1.2 TDs, 0.75 INTs, average per game. for a rookie on a bad team, the kid can play.
  14. Today
  15. You can to some degree by looking at titles and job descriptions. Morgan dumped Cole Spencer. He was Firterer's head of college scouting when he was first hired but had been promoted to a larger personnel role (I wasn't a fan). Tilis has Samir Suleiman's old role plus some other duties. I don't know that he has any personnel input but he might be helpful in picking the people we bring aboard who do. But even if he doesn't, Morgan has a lot of prior connections with solid reputations that may be available this coming offseason. That includes Lake Dawson, the guy who interviewed for our GM job before Richardson handed it back to Marty Hurney. Might even include Joe Schoen depending on what happens in New York. We've also still got Scot McCloughan's son Cade as an area scout. McCloughan had a damn near unmatched eye for talent years back, but he basically drank himself out of the league. If he could come aboard in some capacity (and stay sober) I'd love it. And there's others like OC Brad Idzik's brother who's a former GM, Trent Kirchner from Seattle who got his start with the Panthers, and many more. I'm hoping to see us bring some people aboard this offseason. As front offices go, we're relatively small so there's room to grow.
  16. I like ETN - a lot! Not sure he is as good as Rico right now but though
  17. Lol yeah true sling kinda implies the wrong thing, but the title was kinda meant to bait the extreme Bryce haters
  18. Take away year one and he has progress significantly. Darnold took several years to get it, as did Mayfield. While I am not implying that BY will turn into either one of these players, I still believe there is some hope. These last 4 games will really make a difference. Were in playoff contention and lets just see if he craps the bed or really shows he's dialed in.
  19. Yes because most of the wins have been in spite of him. I will acknowledge he has had some very good games but you can't succeed with a guy that inconsistent. And the idea of regretting letting him go because he turns into Mayfield or Darnold is ridiculous. Bryce has had like five good games here. Who gaf if he has five good games over the next three years?
  20. I'm not. It's one reason I hate carry over from previous regimes. You can't really tell who was responsible for what. The best you can do is guess. Even Tepper would have no idea how much say any particular person had in a decision.
  21. I'd add you can't take YAC out of the equation. It's one of the core principles the WCO was built on.
