You'll get no argument out of me regarding your disappointment in Legette. But there's no need to be dishonest with one another about Thielen. And no matter what he said about Bryce publicly on his way out he made it crystal clear he wanted to play with a rookie QB in McCarthy very badly.

2 firsts, 2 seconds, plus DJ Moore (top 15 WR in the NFL) for a small and slight framed QB who can't process the line, has happy feet, and at best an adequate arm... That's way worse than the Gilbert trade and it's not even close. It's at least the worst Panthers trade by far.

Not sure how you can argue Gilbert being worse? It was bad but this one takes the top spot.

Hurney was horrendous. He was great in the first round that's it. Any other round and FA was largely trash. But we were still immensely more competitive with him more consistently than the jabronis we've had in the front office the last few years. That's because when he hit in the first he hit on cornerstone talent. We can't do that. Not even close.

I said that in the lead up to the draft. Said no way you can take him top 5-10. He had happy feet issues at Alabama, he had to play off schedule. Small frame, small height, adequate arm strength, couldn't process at the line well. Just never got how he was considered QB 1 in that draft. I think I had him 4th or 5th.
