  1. Past hour
  2. Downplaying Bryce Young's supporting cast at Alabama with Saban as if he was playing with scrubs at some low level school is very amusing but par for the course around here I suppose.
  3. Bryce Young is 1-14 on the road. The 1 road win aligning w/ the weirdness that is Atlanta when it comes to Bryce.
  4. I'm glad to get a look at our young draft picks in Scourton and Princely. But it's disappointing seeing our big FA signings in Wharton and Jones not out there playing on the road. I've seen this story before. As has been throughout weeks 1-3 so far this season this is either going to go really well or really bad.
  5. What? He was even worse in his 2nd start. He was ass for the majority of the game in his debut but got his act together and played well late as the Bears fell apart. He was 11/21 for 185 yards 0 TDs and 2 INTs against the Falcons that we just beat 30-0 in his second start. With McCarthy out with injury the washed up ghost of Carson Wentz hung 48 on the Bengals.
  6. I mean, we weren't the only ones considering Legette. He had a strong year. I still say that he likely wouldn't have made it out the second round, and, it may seem trite, but situations and coaching matters. I'm not ready to blame all of Legette's ills on Legette. In light of what has transpired on the field and his modest popularity off the field, I think he's just an easy target. I could be wrong, but I don't believe that he's just some country bumpkin that can't play in the NFL (at least to a WR3 level, at least).
  7. You could see this loss coming since last week. I hope Bryce and the team play well and don't get embarrassed
  8. I think we're good as long as the questionables play. The rookie Edges are gonna get a lot of reps. Evans might actually be an upgrade for Sanders as a blocker. He only gets a couple of balls a game receiving so not that big of a loss. Honestly, I want to see Campbell and Horn in there at WR. Speed guys that look like actual WRs. Nothing crazy positively, but nothing crazy negatively either. This team needs a few real WRs in the game.
  9. I like what I've seen. But we should be patient. As much promise as they've displayed they and the rest of the DL are going to take some lumps too. And their success is also dependent upon the offense holding up their end of the bargain and not keeping the defense on the field the whole game.
  10. Folks a little hard of McCarthy. He sucked his his NFL debut on the road but was okay in his second start. if you apply the Bryce Young curve that 2nd game qualifies as really really good game.
  11. The big swing was just idiotic though. You don't take a big swing on an older project who hadn't done anything in his entire college career until gifted an extra season of eligibility due to COVID. Had that extra year not happened I honestly don't know if he would've gotten so much as a shot as a UDFA. If you're going to take a big swing, at least take it on a younger prospect who hasn't put four years of looking like ass in college on tape.
  12. So why are you wasting your time on a message board and not running a team?
  13. I don't think much of Darnold at all but he is better as a QB than McCarthy has been so far. Crazy small sample size but....those games were not good at all.
  14. I think the biggest issue is that our track record of these big swings during the Tepper era has been abhorrent. Maybe consider people that love football and are good at it?
  15. Yeah, I don't know if you're competing for SBs with Sam Darnold but you're obviously a helluva lot better with Darnold than the current version of McCarthy. And yeah, I'm saying this as a fan of the team that tossed aside both Darnold and Mayfield so glass houses, rocks, and all that jazz.
  16. Ladd was obviously the pick, but we decided to take the big swing. I realize that most here don't see that as an excuse, but I'm just saying that I understand, even if I don't love what it's come to. Teams that are rebuilding from the studs should probably take a more conservative approach.
  17. If McCarthy keeps looking like this, that AT trade is going to be a pretty small concern in comparison to the others.
  18. Now if we can just end the other drought... And I'm not talking LB, Safety or TE for those paying attention.
  19. He said it offhand too. It only works if you don't put up a goose egg though.
  20. Wonnum plays well, but Jones needs to be relegated to back up status. He will be an excellent back up, but Scourton is a better talent. Wonnum plays the run better than Princely now, but we are in a youth movement and Princely needs reps. I hope that both of these guys are going to be good for us down the road!
  21. The most frustrating thing is that the majority of the Huddle can see most of these mistakes coming as they're happening. It's just frustrating when a bunch of crayon eating casual football fans can see what a professional football organization keeps missing.
  22. At least we signs of the 2025 draft redefining "usual." I hope.
  23. The only advice that guy needs right now...
  24. I actually don’t mind starting Princely and Scourton. I am worried about Incoom and Johnson behind them though. We will be fine with Tremble instead of Sanders. McMillan being out would be bad, but we will get to see more from the other guys. I highly doubt Chuba will miss they did this a lot with him last year when he was going to get a big workload. What sucks is NE is 2nd against the run and like 30th against the pass
  25. obviously Ladd was the choice. just saying any of them are better than what we got per usual
