  1. Past hour
  2. He is hit or miss like everyone else but I will say he was super high on Coker. Can't wait to get him back.
  3. Smitty talking about the Lake Norman bitches.... they have money...bought tickets and gone before halftime....to boat...or whatever on a Sunday.... average fan aint that in CLT.
  4. Stroud with our o line, run game, Tet and Canales able to fully use the playbook we are 2-0 right now. Texans are still 0-2 with Bryce.
  5. Totally fair, I was just pointing out that since the 1992 season, if you say Hurts is still a HOF TBD, there have only been 4 SB winning QB's who aren't already in the HOF or HOF locks. Which in itself is just a crazy thing to look at and is proof that you can't just win a SB with a great roster, you really do need an elite QB.
  6. I know we are all sick if losing and that magnifies everything. I think fans in general have a very "how did we look last game" mentality. It's only been just over a year for Canales and XL but it seems like the hope of turning the corner from the way last season ended has only pissed fans off even more since we've had so many issues to start the year. It's hard to have patience because fans are in year 6 or 7 of sucking while Canales and XL have only just started. The shine wore off super fast. That being said Smith like to hear himself talk and his mouth moves faster than his brain.
  7. Every QB makes the pro bowl when you subtract their turnovers, bad throws, and shitty decisions.
  8. The ceiling for Bryce is Alex Smith.
  9. Thank you. I'll leave you with this. “Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.”
  10. I think we are looking at the same stats, I think you just have pro-Bryce goggles on. That seems to be pretty clear by the post history, anyway. Not really sure how or why anyone would still be in that camp, but carry on.
  11. I would argue their play during their respective seasons was elite, and they elevated those around them. Regardless of what they became after that moment.
  12. Right team, wrong year and player. Since the 2003 season, there are only 2 SB winning QB's who won't end up in the HOF (Hurts not included as I think that's still up in the air), would be Flacco and Foles. The next worst QB to win in that time frame would be Eli, followed by Wilson, and then Big Ben. The other SB winning QB's since then... Brady, Mahomes, Stafford, Peyton, Rodgers, Brees... basically some of the best to ever play the game and Stafford, a surefire HOFer after winning his SB. You have to go back to the 2002 season to find a truly average QB to have won the SB with Brad Johnson and then 2 years before that with Dilfer. Before that, you have to go all the way back to the 1991 season when the Redskins won, everyone else between there are HOFers.
  13. We must be looking at different stats lol
  14. At least the 2025 draft picks seem to have some promise 2024...
  15. I am not sure really by any reasonable measure how you could believe that or see that when you look at them statistically but agree to disagree. Regardless, one is a good NFL QB and the other is not an NFL QB at all. That much is very clear.
  16. The long leashes afforded Young and Legette (particularly) has me wondering: not asking Nicole’s fav because we know that answer. But who is the player most likely to be Big Brass Balls’ favorite?
  17. I mean, there's not much to figure out. The guy can't deal with pressure (either in the form of pass rush or in terms of feeling pressure due to the situation in the game/season) and he can't threaten you deep, especially if he's being pressured. So what do you do? Pressure the hell out of him. Blitz him and focus on taking away the short to medium range throws knowing he can't burn you deep. I just don't think there's any scheming around these deficiencies at the NFL level. I'm not all that high on Canales but I'm not sure any coach could make this offense work. People cling to the success we have when trailing multiple scores while refusing to recognize that the Cardinals stopped doing all the things you should do to throw off Bryce and as soon as the game situation forced them to go back to doing them Bryce went right back to looking like pure trash again.
  18. Unless the league decides to rollback the rule book 30 years, that player at QB isn't winning any Super Bowls. QB has to elevate those around him. QBs that are carried by the team are always exposed in the playoffs. Closest thing to an average QB that has won the SB recently is Jalen Hurts. But he's so unique with his legs and the unstoppable tush push that I don't think it's easy to compare him to anyone. Certainly not someone who is subbed out for QB sneaks.
  19. You absolutely can have hope. You can’t convert people though; making advocacy posts are kind of … not reading the room. I had a small hope that he would be able to at least manage some games and that they could make it work in some kind of no fun to watch fashion. But honestly I had 100% determined he was not NFL starter material, and I had conviction. So to root for him to marginally succeed goes against the best interest of the Panthers long term, according to my beliefs. I wanted him gone the minute he got here if I am honest. It was up to him to prove otherwise. He has rarely shown me anything to think I was wrong on his ceiling. He did show me some courage last year, standing in the pocket and stepping into his throw in the face of pressure - but that has gone somewhere. He made some nice throws last year in places too, but they invested in him on the level of the Atlanta game should be his norm. Good luck seeing that again on Sunday. Still, he did it once, so technically it could happen again.
  20. Damn that was a longer post than I intended, Maybe I should have started a new thread.
  21. On that TD, he sure didn't get any help from Scott at FS! While we're pointing out Blue Chips...Horn has proven to be a lock-down, (dare I say)elite CB and DB is one of the best at DT. Which brings me to a topic that has unfortunately been much on my mind lately...2026. Our important (IMO) FAs are: Rico Dowdle - As you pointed out, Etienne is developing nicely and Brooks is still untested potential, so not a big loss. Cade Mays and Brady Christensen - I think we can keep both without breaking the bank. BC tested the market this year and it was all but non-existent. He's a solid backup, but backup linemen don't get paid. Mayes is our only starter on the line who's a FA and he's technically not a starter. Corbett is a FA, but good riddance as far as I'm concerned. He stays hurt and can't snap the damn ball when he is healthy. Hunter Renfrow signed a 1 -year prove it deal, and will resign a team friendly deal again I think. He has repeatedly said that he only wants to play here and is Coker's backup anyway. DJ Wonnum - Solid mid-tier guy that I would like back, but is easily replaceable. I will not cry if he walks. Every other FA is bottom of the barrel roster fillers. As it stands now, we need (in order); QB, ILB, OL/DL depth, secondary depth. If we resign Mays, OL is in tact again and still pretty darned good. Horne, Jackson, and Smith-Wade are solid starters as are T-mac and Coker. We have some promising young WRs in Tremayne and Horn. I see us trying to get a FA Chain mover and/or resign Renfrow. RB room looks really good. TE is a conundrum, Tremble will never be a great pass catcher and Sanders will never be a great blocker. Evans is starting to show signs of life, but not enough to tell yet. This could be another spot we try to upgrade via free agency, having a proven TE could really help our rookie QB.
  22. Stay away from Twitter Panthers fans. It will make your head hurt right now.
  23. Not trying to be argumentative here but comparing their second season, Bryce was actually signifcantly better. He won a higher percentage of games (50% compared to 37%) and he had 4 game winning drives while Baker didn't have any. Secondly, I'm not sure you can say Bryce has had a career so far. His first year was a waste given the coaching so I kind of measure him from when he was benched till now. Some will say I am cherry picking but I think its a fair giving the coaching that first year. And you may be right about Young, I just hope not as I really don't want to have to go through another QB.
