  1. Past hour
  2. Oh good grief. Stop it. I get it if you're a Gamecocks fan but notice how you're on an island here? There are undoubtedly plenty of Gamecocks fans here but they ain't walking the plank with you on this one.
  3. TMac/XL/Coker is definitely the goal IMO. Right now, the biggest question mark on that equation seems like XL.
  4. Justin Tucker hit an 87 yard in warm ups. I think half of the Cam Little situation is the Steelers special teams not doing well on that play
  5. He played quite a bit. He started 12 games as a rookie. Was demoted for poor play in 13 and started 10 more in 14. Its not like he's didn't get opportunities
  6. Norman got put in the dog house cause he had a tendency to go rogue and took too many unnecessary risks early in his career (2013 bills game) once he bought into the system, everything clicked
  7. Norman did play though. He was super bad early in his career
  8. Just my opinion but I think Ron made the wrong call on Josh though. He could, and probably should have played well before that. There were games where could have made the difference.
  9. SCOURTON "While there will be a learning curve for the soon-to-be 21-year-old, the explosiveness and power from Scourton already translates. It’s fun watch Nic Scourton’s power and explosiveness." THORNTON "Thornton has good size and length at 6-foot-1 and possesses the physical temperament that could be helpful in man-to-man looks. He is physical in coverage, especially press-man" ----------------------- Redundancies in back to back sentences? Smells like an AI article to me, or at least assisted and not proofread.
  10. Today
  11. It's not a bad thing. We need quality backups. I just think the people reaching to see him as a long term starter are drinking from the same fountain as those that kept saying BC was a starting caliber *insert any OL position.* They just aren't. Doesn't mean they aren't very valuable and it doesn't mean they can't play competently.
  12. Well, that is why I said watch this season.
  13. I can't say that with T-Mac on the roster. Tetairoa has unicorn upside in my opinion. I do agree about XL. People are jumping the gun to a fault (and faults lead to a DQ).
  14. At this point they actually have to prove they are not a bottom 5 team before anyone not selling clicks or tuning in to watch for fun to believe. Have they improved? Sure. Are they good? It does not appear that way at this point. Lots of best case scenarios would have to happen for that to be true and given our history I think I have better odds on a $2 loto ticket winning a jackpot.
  15. One could make an argument, but I don't think it'd be a strong argument. T-Mac is a legit one. He put up those yards quickly and but for turning his head around quickly would've had a TD to boot. I've always liked Coker and never believed that he was in any danger of being cut. He looks to be an excellent value right now, and I believe one could make a strong case that he's our second best receiver, but I think some of y'all are going way overboard with relatively few snaps in a preseason game. Even if it's conceded that Coker was our best receiver last season, this season is just ramping up. We don't have the total picture, and that is even more true due to a lack of access this year at practices. It's still early, and we have yet to see X and Renfrow, much less Old Man Thielen in much of any capacity. The pecking order is still working its way out. We've hardly seen many snaps at all. Hell Bryce only had six throwing attempts the other night. That's nothing. September into October will be a much better gauge.
  16. It's not a great sign Mays hasn't just out right won that spot yet. Someone said he is like BC and I can't get thst out of my head.
  17. XL was always fools gold. Give me hands and hunger over upside and overdraft every day at WR. The trade just made it comical in my eyes. Whatever, Coker saved them last year and they need to lean on him again this year. XL has shown jackall to earn a starting spot at this point. Hell, maybe it would light a fire under his butt to improve if, when really, Coker takes his reps and jumps him on the depth chart this year.
  18. Yesterday
  19. Most of us wanted McConkey. Turns out most of us were right (again). He was still available and we could have drafted him right in front of the Chargers at #33 had Dan not panicked.
  20. If you are literally going to be intentionally obtuse, I can't fix that, bub.
  21. I am very doubtful he would get that.
  22. At this time of the year, it could be due to a lack of focus during the first few weeks of practice--usually the last unit to fall together once starting positions are fixed. However, you never know. The Etienne fumble on the punt was another sign that they were not seasoned--so we shall see.
  23. Problem with that draft is we were sort of fast tracked to move on from BY IMO and XL was the closest things to a traditional Canales WR. I only wanted XL under that context. He and BY didn’t pair up. Ladd was the ideal BY WR IMO. Then BY did what no one expected. Including Carolina IMO XL is not polished enough for how BY plays. But you could use him in an aggressive downfield chuck it up scheme
  24. If I am not mistaken, Ladd McK was available, and that is who I wanted. Now, had we done that, Coker would be the #2 behind TMac right now and we'd have AT/Renfrow/Ladd at the same spot, but it might be better considering bryce is the QB. Not giving up on XL, but yes, those one hit wonders are not worth first round picks. That pick, followed by an injured RB (Brooks) was very desperate or too cute. Morgan seems to have settled down.
  25. It was a stupid question, for sure. TMac/Coker/AT/Renfrow/XL--probably in that order.
  26. Whether a surprise cut or retirement, Thielen will not be on this roster this time next season. I doubt Moore is much value to keep around long-term and there's a big question mark if Renfrow can even stay healthy. Right there, that's three spots that will be vacated in the foreseeable future. I want both Coker and XL to do well because then if TMac lives up to his potential, the answer to those holes are already on the roster. In my eyes, a TMac/XL/Coker corps is the real goal here. Exactly who is the best among those three we can debate ad nauseum as long as they all produce enough for this offense to work.
