I find this stuff entertaining as long as you don’t take it too seriously. It’s barbershop talk and jokes. That said I don’t think Cam is a good fit for the same reason him and Shannon wouldn’t have worked. Cam is always The Main Character. Amusing but even when it’s just him interviewing someone he has a hard time taking a backseat to his guest. A debate format where has to play off of others and can’t always be the center of attention is not going to be easy for him.

Stroud, Darnold. We’re truly the joke of the league. -
This Andy Dalton/Dave Canales is legit

Only repping your team when they're winning is lame

If they were both on rookie contracts sure

High unlikely that 36 year old Andy Dalton stays healthy all year. There will be one last opportunity for Bryce to prove himself and his fabled work ethic and I think seeing that out is worth more than a fourth rounder, even if it means we get nothing for him. In the meantime we should sign a capable backup and it's on Bryce to beat him for the #2 spot outright. Is he a buzzkill to keep around? Maybe, but this is where the soft spoken personality helps him. If he's just hanging out he'll fade into the background. If he shows effort to save his career that will reflect positively on his teammates. A third round pick I'd say would be worth cutting our losses now.

How did nobody catch this before drafting him?
MechaZain replied to Knaakedup's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sad because his maturity was the one thing we thought we could count on. He don't wanna be great. -
Will never understand the lengths y’all go to paint Reich as some misunderstood guru of a coach. Nothing about his time here would suggest that.

I don’t understand the the hate on Tepper for Bryce getting benched
MechaZain replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tepper’s reputation precedes him now and until things turn around he has to lay in the bed he made. Same thing happened with Jordan. By the end every misfortune the Hornets faced was being blamed on him directly, though I doubt it was really all him. That’s the price you pay when you put yourself out there as an involved owner from the jump. -
Reading between the lines: "Yes I asked Tepper but he agreed with me."

Dave Canales announces next week's starting QB
MechaZain replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
No chance. This a free year for him. He inherited the worst QB in the league and unlike Reich he’s proving it outright. It’s on Tepper to stop the bleeding. -

Nah I liked that too. Leader sets the tone and Cam hated mediocrity. Bryce is playing like the biggest bust in NFL history and seems way too okay with that. And he gives too much “Jesus Take The Wheel” vibes for me which I think speaks to the whole lack of adversity. He knows how to take accountability in a presser but he falls back on his trust in God that things will work out. I believe in a higher power too but He paves the way and it’s on you to do the walking.
