  1. I really think the idea of having an franchise quarterback from South Carolina has consumed Tepper to the point where he'll give up just about anything to land Watson or Lawrence.
  2. Forget him mentoring anyone here if he's actually disgruntled but that's for the best IMO.
  3. I didn't even make the SC connection Tepper will trade the farm
  4. I bet Houston wants Burns and Chinn + picks and we keep offering McCaffery.
  5. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-insider-notes-dont-underestimate-david-tepper-and-the-panthers-in-the-deshaun-watson-sweepstakes/ Strong words here he may have ears on this for real There remains some confusion as to what was actually reported, or speculated, or just plain made up about the Carolina Panthers and some trade offer for Deshaun Watson earlier this week. But I can assure you of this much: Carolina is beyond smitten with Watson and owner David Tepper is fairly consumed by the prospect of landing him and no matter what happens with this transcendent young quarterback (and I still believe he is dealt at some point), the Panthers are going to play some role in the process. They might not be able to secure him, ultimately, and others clearly possess higher draft capital, but when it comes to Watson, Tepper's aim is true and their desire is real.
  6. We were so unlucky with Curtis. By the time he got healthy and really rolling the offense had mostly moved on. The guy's too talented to be a 4th option.
  7. Depends on what "say" entails for me. QB advocating for a free agent is fine but not suggesting cuts or playing GM.
  8. Wilson trying to escape bad pass protection and landing here would be hilarious
  9. I’d call his bluff if I were Houston. May walk away with nothing but the alternative is going to cost league owners much more
  10. Becomes a big deal when you have one o-lineman on the roster, a poor defense, and it's the highest you'll be picking for the next 3 years.
  11. Also we're either coming though with some big offers or have a leaky front office if we're the "aggressive" team on the list.
  12. The 39th pick tossed in there is tough to swallow. If we were truly the preferred spot I don't think it would take all that.
  13. I love that he straight up said Teddy needs to have crazy offseason if he wants to remain the starter.
  14. Tepper and SC have all the leverage so it's not a great look for Charlotte. BoA's perfectly fine.
  15. Graham's confidence can't be that fragile he knows it's a matter of when
  16. Rozier's a real pro because we had too many point guards and he's thrived since moving to the 2
  17. Bruh satire can't get anymore obvious than this
  18. The vast majority of the people still working are doing so to keep their lights on, not yours. Actual essential workers aren't the problem, is that there are so many who aren't but are forced to expose themselves anyway order to survive.
  19. By that I mean they could do it right now and have chosen not to. The $2000/mo stimulus cost estimates range from $2T-4T, and that's under the generous assumption that it would take like a year of complete national lockdown for the threat to subside. Our poor handling of it is already having massive global economic effects. I really believe they fear the political consequences of the country getting a UBI trial run more than anything.
  20. Our government's got the money to let everyone take the rest of the year off if we needed to but they decided that tens of thousands of American lives weren't worth the cash.
  21. The money should go toward making unemployment a living wage and easy to sign up for. I'm not going to turn down a free check but it's being wasted on those of us who weren't impacted financially by all this.
  22. Wow. To put this into perspective: NYC's death toll is 10x LA County's.
