With all due deference to all of the great MLBs. Nobody did it better than Luke. How many Top Tier QBs have we heard over the years talk about his uncanny ability to get his guys lined up exactly where they needed to be to counter even their audibles. If you think Smith doesnt deserve a Yellow Jacket and bust... you dont know football -
Madden has had a largely negative effect on the NFL viewership

We won, but Bryce and Canalas still blow

Imagine calling week 3 a meaningless game with a straight face. BY9 isnt an NFL QB - neither was Dilfer - but Ill enjoy the season if he takes us as far as Trent went with the 2000 Ravens -
ITT But we didn’t blow out a division rival the way I wanted to

At the rate he is stacking up concussions Im not sure Tua is going to recognize his mother this time next year. Pass
-
Does it matter if he goes somewhere else and is good? He his not getting it done here and really thats what I care about. I dont care about Darnold or CMC or Burns or Baker Make this team better or GTFO

IF? Im telling the folks that normally gather at my place to watch to come dressed in their best funeral atire -
Even if you concede that Bryce gets better as the season goes on you cant have a QB that just surrenders the first 2 games and the next 4 or 5 are iffy
-
Is it really so bad to say an individual is in the top 100 people in the world to do a job but he isnt in the top 32?
-
I cant help but wonder how many players are pressing - trying to do too much - not playing in their own sweet spot because they are trying to overcome the significant negative that is the QB.

When my wife know whether or not we are going to run or pass based on the down and distance that is then confirmed by the formation and can make blitz calls pre-snap the gameday calls are a major problem. And dont get me wrong, she is a smart lady, but she 'aint a NFL coordinator

Yes This is a failure of both scouting and coaching. And by coaching I mean both in preparation and in gameday execution.

Everyone - myself included - who thought that the end of last season was a new trend needs to understand the lie they are telling themselves https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler's_fallacy -
Optimism belies the fact that coaches have egos BY9 had enough of the "mental" attributes (or at least knew how to convince folks he did) that coaches believed they could overcome his shortcomings -pun intended They thought they could bulk him up They thought they could scheme him up They thought they could encourage him to play taller They thought but Doug Flutie - but Sonny Jurgensen - but Drew Brees This is as much a failure of overconfident coaching as bad scouting
-
Because that doesnt have any impact on the fact that he was widely expected to succeed in the NFL and he shouldnt even be a back-up. Someone was going to take him in the top 5 it just happens that we made some dumb choices to do it. Maybe MAYBE he has value as a Taysom Hill type gimmick but he is a bust in his own right without regard to what the team did to get him.
-
dont think the trades matter. If we had traded less or nothing for Bryce would he be a better QB? No Would we still have wasted years on him? Yes Would we have taken a different QB? No Would Bryce still be a bust on a different team? Yes The trade has nothing to do with the fact that he doesnt have the tools to be an NFL QB - the role he was drafted to play. It could be the worst trade in history - although there is some stiff competition on that front too - but it doesnt change how big of a bust Bryce is.

Russell Leaf Bosworth Couch Ki-Jana Carter Manziel Akili Smith Thats some stiff competition when it comes to biggest bust or even top 3 or 5
