I have always believed Chuba was better than advertised. I am glad he has worked on his receiving. What I really like about Hubbard is that he runs hard. He grinds for every yard. Sanders on the other hand was truly a wasted free agent pick up. He pitter pats to the hole and usually gets tackled on the first hit. He acts like he can run like his namesake Barry Sanders but he isn't close. I'd rather see any of our other running backs replace him when they give Hubbard a breather.

Want to give Corbett some love. Many were skeptical about him moving to center but he's done a great job in the middle of our line. -

Trading for Jackson was a good move. -

That's what I saw. -
Win or lose. It shows we have a competent offense.

Very weak calls. You see worse every week and no calls. -

Anouncer saying it should have been a pick. I thought Dalton dropped a dime, Johnson just didn't bring it in. -

Dave Canales announces next week's starting QB
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
There is going to be a munity very soon. The players are going to start protecting themselves instead of trying to win games. I agree with many posters. It isn't fair to the other 52 players on this team that work so hard only to have a midget trying to run their offense. -
At this point I am starting to believe that this is Tepper's goal. Put as sh$t show on the field to the point no fans show up and he says he must move the team.

We'll see who's in charge. If Young is playing next week Tepper is clearly making the decisions. I think we keep Dalton as backup and give Plummer a chance. He has the tools and if Canales is the QB whisperer than maybe he can do something with Plummer. You look Bryce was 18-26 but was barely over 4 yds per reception. We have all sorts of weapons that can stretch the field, but Young can't make those plays. If we had a competent passing game our running game would be much better.

About those big money Guards Morgan spent on….
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
True but when linebackers and safeties don't have to worry about the pass they can come up and make the tackle. If you think you can just run the ball down their throat without ever passing than you're stuck in the 50's. The 1950's. -

I'm glad that you posted this. I not going to bash Morgan like some have already done. Our draft picks contributed and our free agents are doing well. I give the defense time to gel because we added so many new players after the initial 53 man roster. There were several miscommunication on the back end. We all know Morgan and Canales are strapped to Young by Tepper. Hopefully, Tepper receives the memo that Young is not the answer. At this point I'd either play the Red Rifle or Plummer. -
Start a Coup to oust Tepper

And I thought Peter Angelos was bad. The Orioles sucked for years under his ownership. He was going to let his young talent go until they finally sold the O's. Sadly, Tepper makes money no bad how this team is. He'll never change. -
In agreement with you. We signed all these run-stuffing D-linemen and they seemed MIA. I defense od Evero we had several new pieces on the field that we not part of our training camp. We better see weekly improvement there.

Canales is one and done, btw
DaveThePanther2008 replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think Canales will be a better QB whisperer with Plummer than Young. Plummer has some tools that he can work with. Sadly, Tepper will insist to keep Young in the lineup until it's too late. -
Young is having a sophomore slump
DaveThePanther2008 replied to Shotgun's topic in Carolina Panthers
We gave him a o-line, we gave him weapons and a head coach that is supposed to be a quarterback whisperer and nothing has changed. He has one good throw and 6 terrible throws. It's pretty clear he's not the answer. I've always been pretty optimistic but this is out of hand. Give Plummer the helm and let him grow. It's sad after one half of football and I'm looking at the #1 pick for the 2nd year in a row. -

Panthers initial 53-man roster
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I tell you what. Frank Gore Jr. Reminds me so much of Terrell Davis. He runs hard and is difficult to go down. After running for 100 yards against us last week you would think he's on our radar. Definitely than Blackshear. -
I agree. New England has zero WR help. Maybe Buffalo because of Joe Brady.
-
Plummer, for a rookie, played well Saturday. I can see him on the PS and continue to develop and could be a good backup in 2025 and beyond. Don't think he's starting material but might be a solid backup.

Last week I was watching the Pat McAfee show and he had Billicheat on. Billicheat said a lot of good things about training camp and preseason. He said the preseason was more about evaluating players and their technique and in game experience over team play. You're looking at guys who are fighting for a roster spot. No one really gives a damn whether they win or lose. It's more about evaluation.
