  1. Love this stuff. I am very interested in what this weekend shows us. I believe it is rookies, UDFA and try-outs. So they should have a good group of players to watch and evaluate.
  2. OK Plus or minus 30 yards. You got my point though.
  3. We are building this team to be a run first offense. Bryce has the weapons to keep teams honest so they can't stack the box. I don't want the term of game manager but Young needs to make the plays to keep the running lanes open. To me it isn't about his personal stats. I think if we manage 125 yds rushing and 250 or so through the air we are going to be in most games. I think Evero gives us a quality defense, and we are going win a lot more games than most predict on this forum. I think with the added weapons and the massive influx of defensive talent we are going to see a competitive team and a fun season.
  4. When was the last time we had a competent head coach and GM. Polin and Capers?
  5. I really like the way this team is trending. Morgan and Canales rookie campaign saw them do some questionable picks but, they also did some really good things. Especially addressing the offensive line. Young had such a disastrous rookie season where his confidence was nowhere to be seen. You can attribute part of this to a terrible offensive line. So, we focused on the O-line. We then brought in several defensive free agents that were supposed to compliment Brown. Once Brown went down those players could not hold the line. 2025 we focused on defense in Free Agency and brought in several good players. We then added more talent in the draft. I think we have competition in several areas where Vets are not guaranteed to be starters. Our offensive line is pretty set with some good backups. Our defensive line is going to be a war for who comes out to be the starters. All in All, we are leaps and bounds much better than 2023 roster. Canales made some rookie head coach mistakes but grew as the season progressed. He got our QB, who was starting to look like a huge bust, playing with confidence and poise. Now it appears Young is moving upwards. Maybe he is a QB whisperer. After Young started to play better our offense was fun to watch. Morgan knows football and knows what he wants in his players. It appears to me that not only are these players he's drafted really good and got great value for them, but they are also high motor, intense players. Our defense, in the past, was always the key to our success. I think Morgan is building a great defense. I know it is too soon to tell but I believe we may have a tandem that will be around a long time. It would be nice to see Morgan/Canales be in the same class as Lynch/Shanahan and Beane/McDermott. I know many Huddlers will overreact, but I truly believe we have a tandem that will be around a long time. TIME WILL TELL. Go Panthers
  6. Many teams looked at the drop-off as a reason not to select him in the first round. Going into the 2024 season he was listed as a potential first round pick. Morgan, IMO, based our pick on what he did in 2023 and expects him to play at the weight he played at Purdue. Morgan did this twice in this draft. Scourton and Evans. saw one stat on Evans that he had 58 ypg in one of his previous seasons. Plus Notre Dame has a history of good TEs that can catch and block. Canales will 3 good TEs that all will see time on the field.
  7. Round 1. TMac arguably the best WR in the draft Round 2. Scour ton mentioned as a possible 1st round edge. Texas A&M did not use him the same way Purdue did. After the 2023 season he was listed as a first round grade. I believe had Texas A&M used him like they did at Purdue he never makes it out of round 1. Round 3 Princely Umanmielen, we'll go by Princely. Another highly graded player we got in a lower round. As the video suggests, even if he plays only on passing down it's a positive. Give him a couple of years to develop a he could be a three down player. Round 4a Etienne IMO a huge upgrade over Blackshear. I can see him in a similar role as CMC without the heavy workload. He can run in between the tackles and has some shifty moves. Give Canales some flexibility. A fellow huddler pointed out UGA running backs don't see the field if they cannot pick up the blitz. Really good pick. Round 4b Ransom a hard hitting safety that has played three different positions on defense. Great pick Round 5a Cam Jackson a massive NT in round 5. I believe a solid rotational pick in a lower round. We added a beast that could make offenses quiver when he's lined up with Brown. Great Value Round 5b Evans This is another player that can block and has good hands. He also had better seasons before 2024. As a rookie he's probably leaps and bounds better than Ian Thomas. I think he gives us a three headed monster at TE. Round 6 Horn Jr. Many believe he's just going to be a KR/PR player. I believe there are going to be packages for him to get on the field as a WR. His speed with TMac and Thielen in the slot could be special. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in training camp. I've watched some film and he is very explosive. Overall I love our picks. I honestly believe all of them will contribute this season. I don't believe we reached on one player in this draft. This weekend we get a small look at these rookies
  8. Isn't there a rookie and try-out camp? Seems to me they had one last year and several of the UDFAs were let go getting us down to 90.
  9. I also heard TB was zeroing in on him. Perfect replacement for the future HOFer Mike Evans.
  10. You got love this. It's a free spot on the practice squad and untouchable to other teams. We get to develop this guy and who knows maybe in a year or two he's making headlines.
  11. I'm always in because I am an optimist person when it comes to our Panthers. I feel it is all going rely on Evero. Can he get the most out of our free agents? It's been noted before Evero doesn't rely on Rookies too much. He's going to have to let them play and they are going to have to be solid contributers. If the defense improves greatly we'll be in the hunt. With our porous defense in 2024 we still split with New Orleans and Atlanta and almost beat the Bucs one time. Offensively T-Mac needs to prove why he was the #1 receiver (arguably) in the draft. If he proves he is XL and Coker will have a better sophomore campaign. I also believe our rookie RB is going to be a huge threat in the passing game. Dave Canales did well his rookie campaign but he also needs to improve. There are a ton of ifs, but not impossible. I think we can do it. I do believe that we'll have fun watching the Panthers be competitive again.
  12. I have watched several videos of the grades for the Panthers and it's nearly unanimous we did well. Mostly A or A+. I feel really good about our draft too. I also really like our UDFA picks too. I think the competition is going to be outstanding. I think as the season gets closer the Panthers will add some CB and FS help. Finally Luke weighed in and he really analyzes the draft well.
  13. One thing I noticed about T-Mac is that he runs so fluidly. I saw during an interview with him and he was explaining how volleyball helped him in timing his jumps and body control. I wanted defense but after double dipping in round 2 and 3 on edge players I was happy about this pick.
  14. Had he stayed at Purdue it's quite possible he would have been a hot commodity. Definitely 1st round. From what I have heard he's more of a stand up defender than knuckles in the ground. TAM had him mostly with his hand in the ground. Let him go back to a weight he seems happier at, not to mention more productive. Plus if they are comparing him to Trey Hendrickson and George Karlaftis I'll take that every day.
  15. You always pull for a UDFA to make the team. This would be an extra special story if he makes the team even if it is just the practice squad.
  16. I saw a stat from 2023, apparently before his injury, where he was averaging 53 ypg from the TE position. That's a pretty solid number.
  17. This is kind of impressive. Though many of them are on the practice squad it seems we did well in the UDFA market.
  18. They'll go commercial like they do every year.
  19. Walker was a top 5 athletic in this draft but our scheme IMO wasn't a good fit. We may regret passing on him. T-Mac as three years of performance and it stands out. I think he opens up the rest of our receiving room. I expect XL and Coker to make big strides in 2025. I've seen grades of A to C on T-Mac, so it just depends on how you feel. We have to focus on defense on the next 3 or 4 pick. Our round 4 and 5 picks are high picks in that round. Let's hope Dan and Dave get those picks right.
  20. I believe we will trade down and get a top 15 2nd round pick.
  21. I've seen him go before us and extremely deep into round 1. It's going to be how desperate a team is, especially if N. O. shows interest or no interest trying to hid their intentions. Just like every draft it's all smoke and mirrors.
  22. I believe that we will trade down especially if Sanders is still available and someone wants to jump in front of New Orleans.
  23. Hampton is going to Denver. Payton is going to turn him into an All-Pro. Both are 1st round talents but I think Hampton is going to have a better career especially if he ends up in Denver.
  24. I don't buy that Morgan or anyone else said we'd give a F'ING discount. That's the most absurd thing I have heard all week. No front office is going to say that. Probably more networks trying to manipulate the draft. I CALL B. S.
