  1. I thought it was funny how he kept waving his hat like we were going to forget who his team was. Probably should have read the article before he started blah blah blah. I was waiting for him to say going to Carolina was a bad mistake because we haven't played so good the last couple of years.
  2. I am sure that there are several teams that have inquired about the pick. The question is. Do you make the move before the draft and get a 1st next year and let that team worry whether one of those QBs fall to 8 or will they wait until draft day.
  3. Totally Agree. He reminds me of. Metcalf but at the TE position. If he becomes a decent blocking TE he'll be a perennial pro bowler.
  4. It's hard to pass on a Sewell or even Slater but this draft is loaded with the positions we most desperately need. Trading down and having the ability to get a few more talented players would help the long term success. But if you trade down. YOU HAVE TO NAIL THIS DRAFT. We cannot afford to have a Greg Little Bust on any pick in the first 4 rounds.
  5. I agree. The article mentions that it is hard to be this high in the draft. Especially when you are considering a QB because your current one is ending his career. Choosing a new QB is the right thing to do.
  6. I like most of his stuff too. Not only will we pick Moore's option but he should be considered a Core Player that we should retained for most of his career.
  7. Yes.... Nothing better than seeing controversy in the Failcan'ts locker room
  8. What we can hope for is that all the QBs are taken 1-4 and someone other than Denver trades up for the #5 QB. Than I think we can trade Teddy to Denver and get whatever we can from them. A 4th or better would be a win. Otherwise, I expect a post June 1 cut.
  9. The two I am interested in are the last two on this list. OT Spencer Brown Northern Iowa. OG David Moore Grambling State These would be nice day 3 picks if they were available. 2021 NFL Draft: Top offensive sleepers (usatoday.com)
  10. With those weapons you only need a solid running game. I wouldn't say mediocre but above average. He performed above expectations for us and without him we would probably be fighting Jacksonville for the #1 pick.
  11. At 39 Toney is no way the BPA. Not a bad WR but you're implying he's top 50. We have too many holes that need to be filled than WR and the BPA should fill one of those holes.
  12. I'd rather they take Fields. Pitts in that offense with Jones and Ridley. They signed Mike Davis who will give them a consistent running attack. Pitts is going to be a monster for years to come. I'd hate to see him 2x a year.
  13. Found this on MSN. Attorney for Deshaun Watson: 'All 22 plaintiffs are lying' (msn.com)
  14. I saw a take where Mond and Mills draft stock had improved. Mills is intriguing. He would be the perfect backup/insurance policy for Darnold. Seems to have the tools and Brady could take his time with him. Take him with the 2nd pick. Though I prefer Creed Humphrey in the 2nd. Mills would not make my upset.
  15. Found this article about the Falcons. This however is exactly how we are especially in this forum. Does Arthur Blank want a new QB? (msn.com) I think if SF takes Jones, Atlanta will take Field just because Blank likes him.
  16. You know I have been on the Creed Humphry bandwagon since someone posted about his ability to command the line and take pressure off the QB. I think, especially with Darnold at the helm, this will be invaluable to his growth. Not to mention he is one of the top Centers in the draft. He could start at guard and learn from Paradis for a year. If we address OT with the first pick and Humphry with the second. I think we could go BPA the rest of the way.
  17. This is probably more of an educated guess than fact. Fitterer when he was with Seattle traded down numerous times for more picks. It just depends on who is where when #8 gets to us. 10 More day until the madness reveals itself.
  18. The most telling point is that we signed him immediately. They had to realize that this guys has some great tools and will be a huge upgrade at guard and maybe take over center if and when Paradis moves on.
  19. If we properly address the offensive line. I think with the offense we have we can win a lot of those games we lost last year. 10-7 to 11-6. I think we are going to see a very exciting team this year. I know many of the players we have added are unknowns. I have faith in Fitterer and Rhule that we are adding players that are going to improve this team and improve depth.
  20. I believe Fields/Lance have just as many question marks as Darnold does. I don't think adding either of these QBs improves the position. Fill the roster with good young talent and let him grow.
  21. Couldn't have said it any better. We are in a position to put a winning team on the field in 2021. You can double down on another new QB or you can use that pick and build a good young team. If Darnold fails we will have two first round picks to move up to get one of the QBs of choice. This won't be the last year that many good young QBs come out of college.
  22. For the right price next to Brown would be an interesting combo.
  23. Some of those highlights he moves well within the pocket and makes plays. Considering the coaching this is a promising virtue. If we can protect him better and with the weapons we have. He should do better.
  24. Kalil's point about them raving about Wilson making throws across his body and that he has seen Darnold make the same plays makes me believe he can be as good as Wilson with the right coach. I don't think we are targeting a QB anymore and hoping one of the good OTs are available at 8. We might trade back and still get one of the top 5 OTs in the draft. Plus gain an extra pick.
