  1. Yeah, Thanks Atlanta. Also Mariota looked like a All Pro when we played them in Atlanta. Last night he looked like total Garbage. He missed so many open throws and we should have had a bout 4 picks.
  2. I liked the look. I wish we would play with that uniform more often.
  3. In a normal situation I would agree. Corral preseason was not normal and it is the exception. He was given very little reps in practice. Secondly, his second game was far better than his first before he got hurt. This is what makes your argument flawed. I think if you give him valuable reps he'll show he's worthy of leading this team. I guess we'll see where we end up in the draft and see what we do. I won't be surprised if we trade down and gain picks or take BPA in an area of need.
  4. Brown is playing at a Pro Bowl level. He's a monster and had a great game.
  5. I love that this team bounced back after a crappy game against Cincinnati. I really thought with C. Patterson back in the line up we were going to get run all over. Our defense really stepped up. Go Panthers
  6. I don't see it as hyping him up, I see it as believing he could very well be the answer that we are looking for. It is so easy to discount a player that was injured before he ever got a real look. I put 100% of the blame on Rhule. He had zero intentions of ever giving him a chance. Part of me believes he wasn't going to give him a chance because he knew we would be in this situation if we fired him. Why develop a guy that you are never going to use. He wanted Mayfield, gave a bogus competition between him and Darnold. He achieved his goal because now we are in the situation where we have a complete unknown in the one position, we need the most. It leaves us to decide whether to draft a QB or believe he is who we thought he was when we drafted him. Our next QB.
  7. I would have loved to have them. Every time I am in the states I try to go to a game. Sadly, I have to get up at 4am and watch the game on AFN. Thanks for the offer though.
  8. I would also interject that these 1st round picks that we would have gotten are going to be mid-20s or lower. Last year, the draft had only 16 players with 1st round grades. Of course, every year is different, but those players are, at minimum, going to be low 1st round or 2nd round values. Many devalue Burns but those types of players are so hard to come by. You trade him away and our D-Line is much less effective.
  9. Drafting a QB in the first round does not prevent "doing what they're doing." Especially if you are reaching just because the talking heads thinks that is what they think you should do. We'll just leave it as this. Whatever our team decides to do, it's probably the right thing to do.
  10. @JawnyBlaze Posted a good video analysis on B. Young. I think those that pass on him are going to regret it. His size is questionable but, I don't think it is going to change his production. If you forced me to take a QB today. I would have to say Young is at the top. It's a huge gamble but his upside is pretty impressive.
  11. I haven't dwelled into the potential head coaches but this guy is probably at the top of everyone's list. Tepper better open his freaking checkbook to get him. Philly did a great job in the draft last year got some studs that are under contract as rookies for the next couple of years. Hurts looks really good considering how he was a couple of years ago. I agree, with you he calls a good game.
  12. I can see a new HC wanting one of these QBs. I believe that whoever comes into the QB is going to have to compete with Corral for the position. Regardless of draft position. I would assume we are also going to have a veteran in the mix as well. It's a huge gamble that could be quite embarrassing if we use a 1st round pick on a QB and he can't beat Corral in a competition. So many want to believe that it's going to be automatically the rookies job just because he was drafted higher than Corral.
  13. The realism is Corral got injured on a freak play. The realism is Rhule didn't give him any quality reps. The realism is draft position means nothing after you've been drafted. The realism is you have no idea what the new coaching staff sees in Corral. The realism is that Corral has all the tools to be a good QB and just needs quality Reps to prove it. The Hating is that many of you want one of these QBs in this draft and nothing short of it is acceptable. The haters cannot and will not believe Corral could be as good, if not better than those in this draft class. The haters believe he has no shot whatsoever. I've said before, We'll have to wait and see what we do in April. If we go QB that's OK with me, if we trade down and get an extra pick somewhere that's ok too. Maybe we use our first pick on a different position of need. (this will get you haters in meltdown mode) and use one of our 2nd round picks for a QB to compete with Corral. The difference between you and me is Corral was chosen by Fitterer not Rhule and that the talent is there, and the value was there too. Corral has all the tools. BTW, had it not been for his unsubstantiated claims of off the field issues he would have been a much higher pick. Also, there were several talking heads including former QBs that had Corral as the best QB in his class. Arguing with you over this isn't worth my time because you want what you want and to hell with what's best for the team. For you it is QB only with the first pick, while I am open to different avenues to get a better team on the field NOW.
  14. Good Video. Makes me more comfortable about Young. You can have all the tools, ie J. Russell, but if you can't process the field and make the correct decision, you'll never make it in the NFL. I'd rather have a 6 foot QB that can process than a 6"4" physical specimen but can't read the field.
  15. I never understood the decision to keep him. 99% of us were sure that he was going to be fired before the end of the season and we were right. I think more than anything Tepper's ego prevented him from firing him after year two.
  16. Hype is what destroys a class. I think some front offices get caught up in the hype as well. You here these talking heads going round and round about how great this or that QB is, and owners buying into it and gets the GM to select him. IMO. if you do your homework, you'll find the right QB, regardless, of draft position. I have my opinions about Stroud, Young and the rest of the class. But to be honest, I'm not an expert and hopefully Fitterer does his homework and if we select a QB I'll be onboard with whoever we choose. Corral, IMO, was a Fitterer choice. Obviously, it wasn't Rhule who chose him and he definitely wasn't going to groom him. The biggest decision Fitterer has to make is, are any of these QBs in this class leaps and bounds better than Corral. I know the haters are already itching to reply that he sucks. I take them with a grain of salt because they have no idea one way or the other. I am sure that they'll consider it greatly when a player we really need is on the board at our pick. His injury, from what I have heard, was a freak accident caused by a terrible offensive line made up of a bunch of players trying to keep their dream alive. Our beloved Corral haters will say "he looked horrible in preseason". Fitterer knows the situation and will make the right call. Just be prepared for a meltdown if we go in a different direction than QB. It will be epic.
  17. Gotta know the rules. If Baltimore tags him, we can offer him a contract and if he accepts than Baltimore either has to match it or we give up only 2 first for him. That's what makes it a good deal. We don't have to give up more than 2 first. Watson was under contract Jackson won't be. It's been that way for years.
  18. Watching the game, the other night they mentioned Jackson wanted a fully guaranteed contract. Jackson said he wanted to remain a Raven, but Baltimore is flinching at a fully guaranteed contract. So, they Tag him this offseason. Do you bite? Do you trade 2 firsts for him and fully guarantee his contract or PASS?
  19. The expert on tanking has spoken. Please etch this in stone.
  20. Haven't we learned our lesson on former 1st round picks that seem lost. Let's pass, OK.
  21. I said in another post that if we are top 5 and don't really like any of the QBs. Trade down, snag an extra 1st next year and take BPA at our new spot. Use one of the 2nd round picks that we have on a QB that can compete with Corral. If they both play well in preseason maybe, we have trade bait.
  22. 13/28 164 1 int. 46% completion. He ran the ball as many times as he had completions. He was thinking he was in college again. Lance will be a bust.
  23. With at top 5 pick you damn sure better believe he's the answer. You pass on a generational talent at another position and you bomb with a pick from one to five, as a GM you and your HC aren't going to be around long.
  24. Well everyone should just STFU I guess now that the all mighty Growl has made this statement. There isn't a single franchise QB in this draft and if we draft one he'll have to compete with Corral and whoever else is on this roster. Just because he's the 1st round pick doesn't always make him "the Man". T. Lance showed that this season. He sat all last season and was supposed to be the man but he was abysmal before he got hurt. SF lucked out that Jimmy G was still around.
  25. OK, Mel Kiper. Anyone that bases Corral performance during the preseason as a precursor to how well he can play doesn't know much about football. Any reasonable fan would know that Rhule wasn't going to give him a chance to play. He saddled his horse on Mayfield and Darnold and that was it. If you don't know that it kind of shows you're here just to Troll as I noted before.
