As we win, we are dropping further and further down the list of potentially a starting QB. If we drop out of the top 10 we are drafting a QB that has many issues and will probably overreach on a QB.
-
First you assume we are getting a new head coach. Secondly, you assume that your head coach, new or Wilks, don't like Corral. You over valued the IR'd situation. Based on this logic SF will be moving on from Lance because he got IR'd and didn't look good in his starts. You're new coach may value a great TE or wants another edge rusher to improve an already good defense. You assume that the new HC won't bring a QB with him. You're all assumption. I don't know what a new coach, if we go that route, will want in the upcoming draft. It could be a QB or it may be something else. They may think that Corral has some qualities they can work with. You nor I know for sure. You just assume that the new coach is automatically only going to focused on QB.
-
I love that everyone assumes that the new HC, if we don't keep Wilks, is automatically going to think that any of these QBs in this draft are leaps and bounds better than Corral. They may be or they may not. Every one of them have their question marks. I do agree the room will look different but it may be Corral and a free agent and either Darnold or a rookie. Not normally. We actually got a good deal on that because normally when you trade for a pick with a next year pick you have to give up a higher round. Hate to tell you this but the new head coach will be working with the GM that selected him so it isn't irrelevant.
-
I can partially agree with this but we traded away a pick to get him. It isn't like we used our own pick to get him. I think we saw more in him that just a backup. Time will tell.
-
We traded away a valuable 3rd round to pick a QB that ceiling is a backup? 1st rounds are starters, 2nd and 3rd round are players that should be starters in a year or so. We traded away a pick to get him to be a backup? It would be tough to believe he wouldn't be groomed for a starter if we used our own pick but we felt he has a future and traded away a pick for him. I think most underestimate his potential. I

In the Corral Reminder He faced insurmountable odds as it was and now those odds are astronomical since he had a major injury He will at worst split the first team reps with a vet and MC will just get the scraps. What part of these comments don't say he's a bust?
-
Not deflecting at all just showing your double standard.
-
Aren't you and @mrcompletely11 the same ones that have already written off Corral as a potential QB for us based on a preseason game?
-
Show me where I called him a bust. I said he looked terrible. Absolutely terrible.
-
Fair enough. What gets me is the double standard. Lance gets all the he's developing love while Purdy gets it's only because he's playing in a good system. Maybe it's both, maybe not.
-
Show me where I did this?
-
I said he looked terrible. Absolutely terrible. I didn't say he was a bust. I was saying he look terrible. Compare him to Purdy who has been with the team less than a year and look 1000% better than Lance.
-
Brass judgement? Purdy had almost as many completed passes in a row than Lance had the whole game. Lance also had Samuel in the line-up. You and @mrcompletely11 make all these excuses why Lance looked so bad but discount Purdy's performance as JAG behind a great coach. Why's that?
-
I'm more impressed with Purdy's play than I am for a QB that SF traded 3 first round picks for. Aren't you?
-
Could be heading that way. What's your excuse as to why Purdy looks so much better than Lance after Lance had a year of understudy? Besides your claim he was playing a monsoon. 69degrees 15mph winds.
-
The defense, for the most part, has played well all season. Under Rhule they were on the field so much that they wore down and we ended up losing. Does anyone know how we rank since Wilks took over?
-
Lance had an entire season behind Jimmy G and looked terrible in his 2 starts. Some huddlers making excuses for him, yet Purdy comes in and operates the offense like Lance should have. To me, many have a double standards when it comes to validating trading away 3 1st for a QB that looks worse than MR. IRRELEVANT.

Well if McAdoo gets sick please fill in as OC. Pretty damn simple if you ask me. -

Yeah, I hope that we don't do a bunch of fake runs and throw it too much. It is a good thing to throw off the obvious run situations but only to keep them off balance. -

Yes, I would love to see a dominating win. -
The game plan for this weekends game should fit us perfectly. I watched the Steeler/Raven game and Pittsburgh could not stop the run at all. Baltimore ran all over them and I think we are a better running team than Baltimore. Thanks to our 7 and 8 linemen on the field. Hopefully, we'll take advantage of this and Darnold manages the game well. Making enough throws to take advantage of the 8 or 9 man box. Go Panthers

That is why I would love to have Washington. He fits the ground and pound offense greatly but has some nice hands and God knows we could use a 6'7" TE in the Red Zone.

That was the funniest part of the video. Grabbing another player's helmet and bashing himself in the head. I didn't notice who the player was the 2nd time he did it, but he had a look on his face like WTF was that.

How good is the Panthers offensive line?
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
We have some really talented players and our line looks a million times better than last year. What I am surprised to see is no one has mentioned Campen. I don't think it is a coincidence that our line looks so good just because of the players. Campen has done a hellava job getting this line into shape.
