  1. Anything is possible but knowing Peyton and his love for destroying us, I doubt it. I loved the look on his face throughout the game. Seeing the look of being lost really was worth watching. We've shown the league, pressure Winston and he'll show his true colors.
  2. I feel you bro. I spent most of my adolescent life in Camp Lejeune NC. The son of a US Marine. My father being from Baltimore and baseball and football were the major sports i grew up with. NBA and ABA was not as popular as it is now. Baltimore back then had Unitas and the Robinson's in baseball. So life was good. 1984 all that changed as far as football went. I never followed the Colts to Indy so I was basically a fan without a team. I followed the Giants mostly because LT went to school with my brother (he was a walk on Safety for UNC and had a couple of cool stories about LT in practice) and my 1st wife was from Long Island, NY. I loved NC and always called it home so when Carolina got the Panthers and later the Hornets these became my favorite teams and win/lose or draw I have always been a fan. I know in the early days of the Panthers the Redskins, Steelers, Cowboys and even the Falcons had major roots in our fan base. Over the years many have jumped ship to the Panthers and our Carolina fan base is a little more loyal and we have less loyalty to those listed above. I was watching NFL Live yesterday and they were talking about the Panthers Defense. Marcus Spears pointed out what I think makes our defense so dynamic. He said how crazy athletic we were. IMO that is the key to our defense. So many fast, athletic and smart players on the field. Another take was when they were talking about Rhule during his press conference. They mentioned how deeply he knew about every aspect of a play or decision. He is completely in-charge and knows every in and out of this team.
  3. The only major error of the day and this is all you can focus on. LAME. All QBs make a few mistakes every game. Watch TB12's press conference after the Atlanta game.
  4. Can't really argue any point. Two games isn't much of a sample size but signs are, as long as we stay healthy, he'll continue to improve.
  5. I've always been optimistic about our offense and definitely our defense. I will say that my biggest concern was the CB opposite Horn. I did not believe Jackson would ever become a team player and not rely on his athleticism only. He's proven he can play within the scheme and excel.
  6. I have been high on our defense for quite a while. I love the fact that our defense is made of athletic and fast players and Snow knows how to get the most out of them. I think Snow will have a game plan for every offense we face and bring pressure all game long. My concerns are how we will fair when we face mobile accurate QBs. Will some OC figure out a way to counter our defense and expose how to beat us. I think not but it's possible.
  7. They might not be so excited to play us. Our defense is in pure ass whooping mode and I say. BRING IT ON!!!!!
  8. And accuracy. The ball was place where only DJ would catch it.
  9. Hubbard was his checkdown and I really think he thought he had time to get it to him. It was a terrible decision but mistakes happen. He has played well for us and I am highly pleased with his play so far.
  10. I said this in another thread but it's worth repeating. Darnold may be the most accurate passer the Panthers have ever had. He had multiple pin point passes yesterday. I was very impressed. His second TD to Moore was a bullet that hit the bullseye. He stood tall many times in a collapsing pocket and delivered a good pass. He wasn't perfect but rarely QBs are.
  11. He should have been credited with a sack on that intentional grounding play as well.
  12. The past two years we have stressed athletism and versatility across the board. We now have players all over the field that can put their hand in the dirt or stand up. You can game plan but it doesn't mean you'll figure this defense out. Snow is like the conductor of an orchestra. Shame Luke wasn't here to experience Snow. Could you imagine him running this defense.
  13. It would be a waste of a roster spot but it doesn't mean we can't bring someone else in and kick for the next two games.
  14. Fame -1 - Defense, Defense - Defense. This defense will keep us in many games. Fame -2 Darnold minus the fumble/int. He was pinpoint yesterday. Several of his throws were right on the money, perfect stride or the one and only place the ball could be caught without being defended or intercepted. Fame-3 Our corners Jackson and Horn. Very few passes were thrown their way and it is most likely they had their man blanketed. Surely has to be one of the reasons we have 10 sacks already. Plus Jackson has made some terrific tackles in the open field. Shame -1 - Special Teams and this is a reoccurring problem. As much as I liked Chase Blackburn as a football player. I think he is our weakest coach. If you go back to all his time with us, we have had some of our worst performances in special teams. Namely the Indy game a couple of seasons ago. To yesterday, the Blocked FG was a blemish on our great day. Our kicker can't kick it out of the endzone. The returns put them in good field position. Thank god our defense was dominating the Saints. Shame-2 Brady's 2nd half performance. This is two weeks in a row that we have come out flat in the 2nd half. If it weren't for the shank punt by New Orleans and Horn's interception we might not have scored again in the 2nd half. We have to play 60 minutes and I do not like Brady's 2nd half performance. He doesn't seem to be able to diagnose what changes are made at halftime. Shame-3 Run game. CMC makes you defend the run throughout the game but if we don't start pounding the ball we are going to be introuble. If a team stops our run and makes us one dimensionally we will look like New Orleans did yesterday.
  15. Totally agree. Peyton sat out a year but I don't believe for one second he regretted it. Though he may not have a bounty on someone's head he clearly doesn't discourage trying to take someone out.
  16. Rhule has a ton of input. I don't think there is a decision made on players that isn't discussed but Fitterer didn't come here to be 2nd fiddle to Rhule. Fit is the GM Rhule is the Coach
  17. 1:21 seconds of this video He clearly launches himself at CMC and IMO was blatant about it.
  18. We're serviceable right now. I don't think Erving is our worst problem on the O-line. Darnold sacks came from the interior line having issues. We have built a very young and talented team through the draft. You want to give up all that draft capital for one player? You're basically giving away 4 starters for a fix that might not make a huge difference. Thanks but No Thanks
  19. Why wasn't this guy thrown out of the game on the helmet to helmet on CMC. That was as blatant of a head to head hit I've seen all season. It clearly looked like to me that he was intentionally trying to hurt CMC. Knowing the Saint history I would not have been surprised if they were told to take a shot if available. We got the unsportsmanlike conduct but he should have been ejected.
  20. @AsylumGuido Come on dude come take your medicine for a the poo talking you did. Reminds me of that 70s Kansas song. Dust in the Wind He disappeared faster than the Winston MVP chatter.
  21. There were a couple of questionable calls but both sides felt the pain. Roughing the passer against us in the first QTR come to mind.
  22. The funniest part is "Put Sam on the Jets without the Carolina line, running game, or receivers and his is struggling." Been there, done that. That's why you traded him. What a idiotic comment.
  23. I am very optimistic about our defense and think they can carry us to some tight wins. My concern is as the season goes along teams find that weakness in our defense. Right now it's hard to see one but there are several coaches, that we play this year, that have been around long enough and might find one. Defense wins Championships as the saying goes. If we can show we are a nasty defense. Who knows how far we can go.
