  1. That’s all fine. I’m just saying the team can choose not to pay him what he wants, they will still be just fine in the future for it. That $ can go towards other good players.
  2. You can sign vet defenders who are quality. Yea you draft to replace people. That’s how the league works.
  3. Turning down that Rams offer is so cringe right now. Those extra picks would’ve been fantastic for an actual rebuild. You can sign several damn good defensive players with $30 mil vs just 1. this team is the football version of the hornets since Tepper took over.
  4. Let him walk. This team needs room to build around Bryce. They committed to that path by trading what they did to acquire him. This team’s ceiling even with Burns is around 7 games. They can pay for defensive talent next offseason
  5. The Tepper era has been a joke so far. How many wasted draft picks , cap space , poor decisions are we supposed to survive through. The team just delays its own rebuild over and over. They should’ve done a fire sale when Rhule was brought on and they should’ve done a fire sale when he was fired. Accumulate draft picks , build cap space and take BPA where they were slotted. Yes we have Bryce, who is going to be nice if he stays healthy , but this team doesn’t have any game changers outside of Burns and it’s a problem
  6. Sounds like excuses for guys getting beat up in their matchups. I hope the new staff has great schemes and a deep playbook to help out guys getting blown up.
  7. Bummed about Byrd. I think this team could’ve used the depth and his speed
  8. Fair. I was looking at the QB scatter shot strategy. Even with the cmc picks - it’s still a ton of assets to spend on the QB position. The roster needs 2 more off seasons to recover imo.
  9. Not sure how things magically correct themselves via 1 on 1 battles once the real games start. That’s my concern
  10. The Bryce attempt made sense. The Darnold / Corral didn’t. I’m just looking at the overall cost over the past few seasons to try and find a QB.
  11. With that amount of draft capital that’s been given up. They could’ve almost had an entire side of the ball filled out with quality talent. Tough pill to swallow. That’s almost an entire unit lol.
  12. Of course this is all old news at this point and it was just something that came to mind. The lack of good depth on the roster and just some of the decision making that I think has really shown it self now. Traded a 2nd , 4th and 5th I believe for Darnold Traded a 3rd and used a 3rd for Corral (correct me if this is wrong) Traded 2 1sts , 2 2nds and DJ Moore for Bryce Young That is a ton of picks, and high picks, and to show you have 1 starter after all that. And lose your stud WR. This team has never truly embraced a rebuild under Tepper so far and I think we won’t even fully benefit from Bryce being on a rookie deal because of what the price was to get him.
  13. I don’t expect Jackson to make it a full season. I think he’s done after his injury from last year. I think the secondary is in trouble going into the season the CB position for us is just so fragile and the depth is brutal
  14. Atlanta is further a long at this stage. They’re also the home team and the overall feeling right now is pretty damn cloudy for us. I’m not sure this roster is there yet going into this season. Way too many question marks , new coach , new staff new QB etc. Too many bad players on the team in my opinion and not enough game wreckers. We pretty much have only 1 guy who teams have to account for in Burns but he isn’t anything like what Peppers was for us back in the day. There’s just not enough juice on this team right now. Before preseason I thought maybe 8 or 9 wins, 10 if they’re really lucky. Now I’d say they’re a 6 or 7 win team after seeing guys compete in preseason. They’ve gotten their asses kicked 2 weeks in a row.
  15. Luckily I just don’t care like I used to. 5-6 years ago and before that if the team lost it would make me cranky the rest of the day. Now I simply don’t give an F if they win / lose. Sometimes I don’t even tune in. It’s quite liberating actually to watch a game and not get upset or to even skip it (probably from the trauma of being a panther fan since Cam got hurt)
  16. This is true. It’s still scary to watch though lol
  17. I think it’s more Rhule’s fingerprints still all over the team. Tepper referred to him as CEO coach during his short time here. Horn being hurt all the time isn’t anyone’s fault, his talent is undeniable thus far when he’s actually been on the field. Icky is going to be the LT for 10 years if he can stay in the field, he’s got all the tools to be a good tackle. Trading away the draft capital + DJ Moore is going to delay the rebuild behind Bryce . I think he’s going to be good. I don’t think his ceiling is as high as Cam’s but I think he will be a consistent pro QB. The TE room needed someone that is a pass threat. Been missing this since Olsen. I am concerned about Miles having groin issues so early and his contract isn’t anything crazy. Yes a little rich vs the rest of the RB market but the team is much better cap room shape moving forward I don’t have an issue with the aggressiveness to get this team on track. I wonder if anyone knows or can find an article on the chances of success that a team has after trading an arm and a leg to move up to get a QB at number 1 like we did. I would think it’s almost better to let the draft come to you or just wait another year to get a QB but what do I know..
  18. Bryce is the QB. He’s not sitting. He’s been the QB since draft night
  19. He’s always on the ground
  20. Chicago is loving this…they’re gonna get a top 5 pick now *hot take
  21. Nothing lost here because there’s Mingo TMJ is on his way out of here is my prediction.
  22. With all due respect Coach Reich should have a plan to always protect the new franchise QB. Practice , joint practice , preseason etc - it should never ever be to where they allow another defense to tee off on Bryce , that’s insane. To just go out there and wing it, someone is gonna get hurt. To use “preseason” as an excuse to not have the OL ready is really frustrating to hear as a fan when the new QB is so crucial. Whenever Bryce touches any type of the field , there needs to be a plan in place. the OL - they’re in the big leagues and they act like they never seen a stunt before just because it’s preseason. That was some of the worst OL play I’ve ever watched. Really hard to believe that was a pro group out there. It was awful. And the Jets didn’t even have their big studs out there.
