  1. Harbaugh would be an improvement over the current coaching staff but I don’t love it. Doug Pederson or Matt Eberflus are my first choices
  2. I think the team is going to fire him and allowed reporters to start having open season and asking hard questions to soften the blowback on the team and Tepper for firing him only after two years. It’s a little too convenient these stories are coming out now at the end of the season when some of these quotes and storylines were probably from earlier in the season.
  3. I just noticed this thread and my first reaction was who cares. I really hope they get their dicks pulled out and stomped on again because a meaningless late season win dropping draft position would just be so bad for what this team needs right now.
  4. There’s a different feeling right now than those past bad seasons. It’s an air of hopelessness. The Panthers have been a bad before but there were reasons to have hope. Even in 2001 the team had more hope than now because Seifert was obviously getting fired. Right now there’s a new owner in place who has done nothing but lose fans and produce a bad product on the field for 4 straight years. The Panthers management and coaching has made many bad football decisions. Just head scratching bad decisions that even casual fans can look at and be like, why? Trading for Darnold and picking up his $19m option despite the fact he has been the worst starting QB in the NFL his entire career tops the list. Now we’re getting fed articles by trusted team reporters that Rhule is likely getting a third season. We’re going to have to sit through yet another very likely losing season before there’s any hope of another coaching staff coming in to clean this mess up.
  5. Would have been WAY more interesting if Diddy and co bought the team
  6. Sell your PSLs? Not go to any games? Stop watching the games? Burn your Panthers merch? Personally I’m already at an all time low of interest, in that I mean my faith in this group of people currently in charge of the team will not have any success in my opinion. I’ll just continue putting more of my fan energy into Austin FC who I believe will be a far more successful MLS franchise than anything David Tepper’s soccer team will ever accomplish. Mark my words on that.
  7. You’re probably right about that. It softens the blow of embarrassment when Tepper fires him. They can’t possibly keep Rhule another season with the amount of fan vitriol towards the team’s performance. Fans are dumping their PSLs at the highest rate in team history. I don’t even think it matters what the team does in the off-season if Rhule is the coach next season - it’s time to move on and get an NFL caliber coaching staff to clean up this mess.
  8. If they trade for Watson at the prices being discussed it will be the dumbest thing this franchise has ever done
  9. I think we're going a liiiiitttleeee too far guys
  10. psh you've already lost the huddle @Zodwe're ready for a new leader /s
  11. I mean true true but at least we had winning seasons under Richardson too! Something Tepper can't say....yet?
  12. no it actually wasn't, add up the records of the last 4 years under Tepper's ownership and this is the worst stretch in team history thanks for playing though
  13. Richardson is probably thinking "these damn yankees are making a joke out of my team" He has to be watching this clown turd party getting flushed down the toilets of the NFL laughing all the way to the bank. Grass is always greener fellas. I was in favor of him selling the team but now.....about to be a bottom feeder for the next decade.
  14. I had a douche bag narcissist sociopath boss that would say sh*t like this during team meetings. He got fired. The crazy thing is he actually DID go get a better higher paid job.
  15. Would be great if this defense would just play a standard front and focus on actually stopping the run
  16. who is the top QB prospect in 2023? because if Rhule is retained we will probably have the #1 overall draft pick
  17. Matt said at his recent press conference that the team has made a lot of progress, he just wishes everyone else could see it. I'm going to try to give him the benefit of the doubt. What is that progress? What has Matt Rhule accomplished as head coach of the Panthers? I'm trying to think of his accomplishments and reasons why he should be justified a third season as head coach. There aren't many cultural reasons to keep him. The culture was already good among players under Rivera. If anything, the player culture has to be worse. I've never seen a team give up as easily as Rhule's Panthers do. Team performance doesn't show any progress. The team doesn't have a signature win. The offense is probably the worst in the NFL. Where credit is due, I suppose the defense has talent. The focus has clearly been on rebuilding the defense, and the defense seems to be in marginally better shape than in 2020. The issue with that is, many key players are free agents next season. Am I missing something? What has Matt Rhule accomplished in his two seasons that shows progress and justifies keeping him for a third season? There has to be something I am missing...
  18. yea because that meaningless late season win vs washington last year which would have put the panthers in the #3 draft position really established the "winning culture" everyone keeps talking about.
  19. The only team the current 2021 team could beat us is the post Rivera 2019 team starting Will Grier
  20. Ugh. Is the NFL setting us up to beat the Saints next week?? Flexed the game to 4pm, reports Matt Rhule is being kept being pushed by media outlets. Rhule saying Tepper is giving him a vote of confidence. Watch them go out and get a meaningless win next week. Classic Panthers move. Please don’t. Please!!!!!
