  1. Didn’t say she interviewed Rhule and that whole situation about her not completing the DE&I requirement was weird. And let’s be real, Tepper went to Rhule’s house and agreed to cut the checks for the $60m guaranteed contract and you think it wasn’t Tepper’s call to hire him? Damn y’all
  2. 3rd and 4th for Corral while Sam Howell looks legit is the nail in the coffin. Could have just stayed where they were, drafted Howell and called it a day. It’s like he can’t help himself on draft day and has no patience to let the draft come to him. Bad trait in a GM.
  3. Tepper and his wife (who didn’t complete some kind of diversity training before interviewing the candidates from what I remember) interviewed the head coaching candidates. Tepper personally went to Matt Rhule’s house to interview him. Tepper was heavily involved with the GM search as well. He’s as hands on as an owner can get to a fault. Anyone saying otherwise is straight up wrong.
  4. True we don’t know what decisions were truly Rhule or Fitterer, but I know for damn sure it wasn’t Rhule’s idea to inexplicably pick up Sam Darnold’s $19m 5th year option before he played a down for the team. And as I said earlier in the thread, at least Hurney could identify a star player. He sucked in many other ways but I cannot deny his ability to draft absolute studs in the first round.
  5. I just can’t even believe you of all the posters here would post something so wrong
  6. For real it’s like this fanbase will make any excuse to defend what, the highest paid assistant coaches in the NFL? A GM that has repeatedly made shortsighted and downright stupid decisions? This team is still a clown show with the appearance of legitimacy.
  7. Wilks + a good QB would have meant more. It was Ron Rivera level competency which was a huge improvement over the Matt Rhule clown show running college schemes
  8. Good for Ron smacking two former nemesis who had his number in one game (Payton and Wilson)
  9. You play the teams on your schedule, isn’t that what everyone always says? We make excuses for when a coach wins but it doesn’t matter when we lose?
  10. You said the Steve Wilks coached Panthers only beat “sh-t” teams which just wasn’t the case.
  11. Beat Seattle in Seattle and the Bucs with Brady, both playoff teams. Matt Rhule didn’t do anything like that
  12. You’re 100% right. They traded up and specifically picked Bryce Young because they felt he was the most pro ready and the team was good enough to complete with the right QB. We’ve been sold on this “all star coaching staff” but yet it’s a “rebuild”. Excuse after excuse after excuse when the best this team has looked since the first half of 2018 was under Steve Wilks coaching Matt Rhule’s rejects.
  13. If they trade Burns this season for less than what the Rams offered last season, Fitterer should be fired immediately.
  14. Hurney could at least identify a star player which I’ve yet to see Fitterer figure out.
  15. I’m angry because Sam Howell looks legit and meanwhile Matt Corral isn’t on a roster.
  16. I could write a long list of Fitterer’s failures as Panthers GM. What has he done right? I am really having trouble figuring it out. Picking Icky? Is that the best thing he’s done? Zavala if he pans out as a legit starter? Maybe Chuba Hubbard? Wait never mind it was who Matt Rhule’s WIFE who picked him.
  17. I have been blaming Tepper since he hired a wildly unqualified college coach who didn’t even beat a ranked team to a fully guaranteed $60m contact.
  18. Scott Fitterer should be fired for many reasons but his main f*ck up is trading up for Matt Corral instead of picking Sam Howell.
  19. A close loss would just be the same old Panthers we all know and kinda hate
  20. Team went 6-6 under Wilks last year with Matt Rhule’s rejects. If this “all star” coaching staff can’t at least match that then the Panthers made yet another a major mistake.
  21. If the Panthers lose to the Saints on MNF, this is what the NFC South standings will look like: Bucs 2-0 Falcons 2-0 Saints 2-0 Panthers 0-2 (0-2 in division) This would be a likely insurmountable hole for a young team with a rookie QB to dig out of. All the division opponents will be 2-0, the Panthers will be 0-2 and more importantly 0-2 in the division. Huge game in Week 2 in prime time that could determine if the team contends or flounders in the division this year.
  22. Also this. And having a black cat as a mascot just ties the whole cursed confirmation with a nice little bow
