As far as I know Cam and Deshaun talked about the opportunity on the Panthers and from what I heard, if Cam had said something negative, he would not have met with the Panthers.

Deshaun wants to go to Atlanta. But they can’t afford to trade for him without trading Matt Ryan. And the Falcons pissed off Matt Ryan because they tried to trade him but as far as I know no one wants to take on $48m cap hit for a 37yo pencil necked QB. Long story short it’s a mess. The storyline is going to start to change tomorrow.

Cam is most likely not coming back to the Panthers. But he like many other FA QBs is waiting to see what happens with Watson. Then the dominos will fall. Honestly Cam’s market might actually be better last off-season. I think Cleveland would be a great fit for him with that run first offense.

Cam is getting calls this I know. Seattle for sure. And Cleveland I think has made overtures after the Baker situation has unfolded

I can tell with conviction the Falcons have created a mess. They can’t trade for Watson. They don’t have the cap space. Matt Ryan costs $48m against the cap and they’ve pissed him off royally. I bet the Browns are in touch with Cam soon too.

Atlanta is just so obviously where Deshaun wants to play, it just might not work out money wise. This deal would be done already if Atlanta had cap room. And I know for a fact Matt Ryan is not happy with this. It’s a mess. No one is reporting on that.

Yea it’s not the matter of the no-trade clause at this point. Falcons don’t have the cap space without trading Matt Ryan it’s that simple. It’s a mess right now.

Houston has already approved the Falcons offer, or so the rumor goes.

Atlanta is going to have a very, very hard time trading him. And I have heard Matt Ryan is not thrilled right now. Falcons doing him dirty after a long, successful run there.

I don't know how much more clearly I can say it. The Falcons need to trade Matt Ryan to make this work or they just can't do it under the salary cap. Watson is waiting for Atlanta. If Atlanta drops out because they can't find a trade partner for Matt Ryan, it's down to the Saints and Panthers. Then it's game on. Watson wants to be in Atlanta 100% though

Watson and his people definitely did take fan interest/vitriol towards his situation into account. Panthers fans were not too keen on trading for him from what I recall, myself included. Not a fan of trading for him in the slightest. Not a fan of almost anything the Panthers have done in the last few seasons.

I'm sure the Colts would appreciate having him for a season or two. Problem is his contract is INSANE and who would want to extend a 37 year old QB to lessen his cap number. Colts are probably mulling it over and arguing about the compensation, probably low balling the Falcons, who probably want assets from the Colts they can turn around and trade to the Texans for Watson. It's not gonna happen that way most likely.
