  1. For what it’s worth, in Rhule’s most recent press conference he stated picking up Darnold allows for them to stay with the “best player available” strategy, but he followed that by saying of course that BPA must also fill a need. So if it’s between the best WR, the best LT or the best CB, you gotta think we’re not going WR.
  2. Hell yeah if a top QB falls you take him 100% of the time, if anything just for the future draft capital value you could get down the road.
  3. I’m pumped about the trade, at least we have something besides Teddy now. It’s crazy how one game, or one “meaningless” win can drastically alter the course of a franchise....as in the win against the WFT. We throw that game, we’re set with Wilson or Fields probably. Now we are trading three draft picks for Sam Darnold. Not saying we should have thrown the game, but damn how things could be different.
  4. And Teddy has hit his absolute ceiling. The gamble is can Darnold, six months younger than Joe Burrow, lead a team surrounded by the best supporting cast he’s ever had by far.
  5. I got some stuff going on the next few days but I’ll try to remember to send the details soon. Hit me up if I forgot lol
  6. WFT is too PC. I need them to be named after a fluffy animal or a mythological being or else I want ever watch again.
  7. He’s a manipulative diva, literally everything people said Cam was except it’s true. He’s had some nice games but seems to require the best defense of all time to win a super bowl; when he’s not throwing a game-losing interception from the one yard line that is.
  8. It’s eerie how similar Cam and Lamelo’s rookie seasons are in some ways. I remember in 2011 Bill Simmons mentioned how Cam had made the Panthers required viewing each week because he could make a big play at any given moment. Now the entire NBA world has raved about how the Hornets are the most exciting team to watch because of Lamelo. So two young stars lifting their franchises out of irrelevancy from day one. I would say Cam’s rookie year was better because he set all kinds of records for a rookie, especially at a time when it wasn’t as common for a rookie QB to start right away.
  9. Keep monk, trade Graham. The team is playing its best basketball with Graham in street clothes. Why mess up a good thing if you can help it?
  10. Allen had already proven he was not a starting QB even when healthy. Cam’s health was the question. Rolling with Allen as the starter was never an option.
  11. sure, point remains signing Teddy to that contract was an awful decision. Just because it nets a backend third round comp pick doesn’t change that fact.
  12. Does mid third rounder turn into Will Grier or an NFL player?
  13. I guess in three or four years we’ll know? Convoluted way to look at it. Bridgewater was an atrocious signing in hindsight. No getting around it. I mean, it got Hurney fired again so maybe it was actually a great move. Same logic with the comp pick.
  14. Arguably no he’s not. But assuming Bridgewater is better, the Panthers are still desperate to get rid of him even though he’s gonna cost us a poo load in dead money next season. If Cam sucked last season, he would be gone and the books would be clean.
  15. What a disaster of a decision to pay Bridgewater starting QB money instead of letting Cam play out his remaining year.
  16. Love it. Great exposure for the franchise and awesome for fans of the team and the sport. I’m sure Tepper would jump all over it, after Amazon’s All or Nothing and the behind the scenes work the Panthers media already puts out.
  17. What argument is it you think I’m trying to make? Seems you’re confused as to my original point or just making up a straw man based on other people’s posts.
  18. Yes of course. Teams are not going to pay market starting QB money to someone with injury concerns based on videos or a third party doctors opinion. It’s not that hard to understand, but if you guys want to be confused do you.
  19. So obviously the Hornets coaches know a little about basketball. So is the issue guarding the three just a personnel thing? Is there another defense they could play that could help? I realize they don’t have great rim protectors. I know they don’t enjoy teams setting franchise records for made threes against them every other week.
