Thinking maybe they made the trade for 2 reasons. 1 : They couldn't pass on the deal on the table. 2: If Donald starts and sucks, it was between P.J. and Corral. Corral wouldn't be ready to go and P.J. is P.J. With Mayfield they can buy some time to get Corral up to speed without forcing him in. Such a cheap buy for a starting QB is something they can't pass up. I would rather Corral learn under Mayfield. Darnold is basically out of the picture no matter what they say. He may not even see a snap this season as a starter.

Richest backup in the league. Carrying around a clipboard for millions of dollars is a great job.

Can't believe people are crying over this trade. No way M.C was starting no matter who the QB was. Sure Mayfield may have personality issues, but that is irrelevant now. Carrol will get his chance. This sucking just to hopefully get a top five pick next year is ridiculous. Same people who are bitching about this trade, would be bitching about a 4 or 5 win season. Can't win with this crowd

Don't feel bad for Darnold. Twenty six and set for life is a great place to be. Even if he never plays another down...smiling all the way to the bank. I would take that trade off any day of the week.

Can't keep 4 QB's. Someone will have to push Rhule out of the way if he tries this shat. Baker 1st,Corral 2nd, Darnold 3rd. In the real world, it should go this way....but with this staff WTF knows.

Even if I am not crazy for the guy, no way they could turn this trade down. Five million and a fifth round conditional pick is crazy for a starting QB. Even for a meh starting QB, it is a deal. P.J is gone and Darnold is gone next season if they can't unload him this year. Corral will get his shot. NFL season is long and things happen. Just study the playbook and be ready when his shot comes.

They should roll with what they have. Start Darnold and work Corral in during the season. P.J will be the backup. They aren't going any where this year anyway. Just let it go and play the cards they have.

I am not saying he is, but the front office believes he is (I guess). If they want to go down that rabbit hole, then Donald and Anderson should be in the mix also. They can't have Donald and Mayfield both... makes little sense to me. If the Browns won't have him, then what they gonna do? Cut him I guess. Anderson has turned into a pain in the ass who isn't worth the grief. If he was a top shelf WR,that would be a different story. E.G.: Steve Smith sr.

Unless they include Darnold in any trade, then it is not rational. I hope Darnold well and being a multi-millionaire at 25, it's hard to feel sorry for him. Bring Baker in as a starter this year and groom M.C behind him. Baker on a short deal and that's it. I do not like him for his cry baby sh%t and his teammates didn't seem to care for him either. Seems like they are determined to do this, then so be it. Send Robbie along for good measure. They want a Vet ahead of M.C then you got ur vet....like him or not.

If Rhule and Baker get in a fist fight on the sidelines, then I'm in.

Seems like this whole thing is just spiraling down a black hole. Turned into a real sh$t show in just a few years with Tepper. Team went south and the fan base with it. Public relations is circling the drain. The next shoe to drop will be?

The Saints may be knocking the Bucs off to win the South. If Winston doesn't shat the bed, they will be tough. Still have a good D and added on offense. Have a feeling Brady made a mistake coming back and will fall off big time. So it's between the Panthers and the Falcons for the glory of last place. I don't think we make the playoffs, Hopefully we can show some improvement, but the schedule is brutal. Hope for the best and expect the worst.

If you have never been, then you are missing out. Electric in the PNC arena and just a jolt of adrenaline. So different then a Panther game in so many ways. I know it's a closed arena and a smaller crowd, But the energy and excitement is night and day from BOA. Plus there are actually Cane fans filling the stands and not the opposing teams fans. Best time I have had in years going to a sporting event in N.C.

Bottom line....either a HC wins and stays, or loses and is gone. Simple stuff. They can only run from the fact for so long.
