Based on what most of you say about this football team........I get the feeling that when many of you go house shopping the last place of the house you inspect is the basement/crawl space where the foundation is set and must be intact or major problems will show up over time. For the last 8 years of so I've been on this thread complaining about the basement/crawl space of this organization ..............the Oline.............the foundation. and here we are going into 2023. And what is still the big problem? Our foundation has too many cracks in it.........and its going to show up in the play again and again. When will this 2nd rate organization learn you build a football team by controlling the line of scrimmage on the offense to move chains....eat up time with the offense on the field while keeping your defense fresh .......and their defense exhausted over time .......and at the same time keeping their offense off the field. This isn't rocket science..........................but this organization just can't stand being in the basement working on it when they can be up in all those wonderful showy rooms watching big screens while the walls crack and the foundation starts to sink.

Any statement that starts out with "at least" is a conciliation as to what was really desired.

Can Bryce Young lead Panthers to a deep playoff run?
PghPanther replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
The real question is will he still be healthy after a few years ................ -
Starting on the 40 yard line the Pats where long yardage and 3rd down when Dan Morgan caused a penalty that gave them a 1st down...without Morgan's penalty the Pats would have faced a 4th and long which could have ended the game and the Panthers winning the SB. I don't hear about that much situation after the Casey kick......but was yelling at the TV when it happened that it was the hammering of the death nail in the game for the Panthers with Casey's kick only placing the nail to get hammered (in my opinion)............no doubt both defenses were gassed and the offenses were practically scoring at will during the late stages of the 4th quarter but I can't help thinking what might of happened if the Pats would have been forced in the final play of the game as a 4th and long on their side of the field rather than it being a FG and the win.

Will the Panthers or won't they contend for a playoff spot
PghPanther replied to panthers55's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nope............they will finish just under .500................I guarantee it. -
.....and in other news MLB has recently announced in an effort to bring up batting averages across the league and save pitching arms they will institute a "teeball" format at the plate for every batter hitting below 250 in the league.

I can see it now............ "Folks........Matt Ryan was excused from joining our staff on today's broadcast because he lost a filling earlier in the press lunch conference............." "We hope to have him back with us sometime in the next 3 to 4 weeks....Matt, we know you are watching at home and all of us at our CBS family are wishing you a full recovery and look forward to your return." "In Matt's absence we have another former NFL QB of similar credentials and expertise we welcome to our broadcast booth for today's game............say hello to Jimmy Clausen"

Panthers have one of NFL's most 'obsessive' fanbases
PghPanther replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
An expansion team in a transit city with no SB wins? Not enough history and success of the franchise and add to that in an area of the country where you can do things in the mountains, ocean or enjoy outside activities during most of the time football is played really doesn't help any. Me thinks sports writers have to come up with this stuff in an attempt to keep the interest in the bottom feeder teams..........or there is just some much 24/7 sports coverage they run out of things to write about so hence the Panthers fanatical fan base.......yeah sure. -
Panthers Fans Never Learn
PghPanther replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
Past performance does not always equate to future performance but it can sometimes provide an indication. That stated just based on what I see.....the Panthers win 6 to 9 games this year miss the playoffs and Young ends up on the IR before the year is out. This kid is not physical material for the NFL.........and if the Oline doesn't perform as a top 5 group in the NFL all season I doubt he makes it through the year. And Reich is an unproven commodity in his role........ Flame away if you will but lets revisit this in December/January and I'll be glad to eat crow if I'm wrong about this. -

Man does Tepper remind me of Homer Simpson -
It seem difficult at best to determine if the transition both mentally and physically for a top college QB to translate into an NFL success............only in hindsight can most people can make that observation. I'd say the same challenge is going on here regardless of who the Panthers pick........you just don't know how they will handle it and what impact it will have on their body until it does........ Kinda of like a crap shoot when all is said and done..............

NFL isn't rigged......its just retarded at times...............3rd and 3 with just under two minutes with two time outs on a tie game and Cincy throws a high risk timing rout 35 yard pass that bounces off a guys helmet? NFL play calling at time insults my intelligence. They desire to lose with crap like that.

The former Colts coach becomes the first head coach in Panthers' history with a strictly offensive background who will become a former Panther head coach after 2 seasons..........ugh Up next.......the 2023 regular season and another 6 win prediction ...........

Both Romo and Olsen I learn things from.........that's a really good sign to me of a color analyst..there is nothing better that to make your average football viewer a more educated fan to create more following and passion for the sport. However, Romo's voice is among the worst currently in that role on TV.....and his inflections can be a bit annoying at times where for Greg that is a non issue. Never the less, Romo is defiantly worth listening too because of his knowledge and insight. Brady is personna non grata when it comes to his current NFL interviews so I can't imagine his color analyst role being any better.........he won't be the nightmare Torry Holt was in that role but I predict he will be borderline mundane. I worked in TV for 5 years hosting motorsports broadcasting up North and feel I know a thing or two about how to present something on TV that is both entertaining and informative in a professional manner.
