I think the problem is they know Dowdle can play and a RB in the draft could always pull an Eric Shelton and suck ass. They know they need a decent option to spell Chuba which Dowdle can be that. Brooks did look good in his limited time. Now there is no pressure to rush his rehab. That said I wouldn’t be mad at another late round back coming to the team. But I would prefer not seeing it until Rd 5.

Watched his highlights. Seems like a good player but not exactly a speedster. Seems sorta Chuba like. However this is a good deal and allows us to let Brooks recover fully.

I wouldn’t mind a stud WR but I don’t think it’s necessary for us to take one at 8. Development is a thing and I think people are far too impatient with XL. He did just fine for a rookie WR, pretty good for a Panthers WR at that. Coker might take off as well. Id rather us get a good veteran FA WR who we know can step in right away. The defensive line really needs help. Mason Graham would be a dream next to Derrick Brown.

Good riddance. Eddy P is a loser of a kicker and cost us multiple games over the last few years.

I think Cam needs to walk some of that back. But I have no doubt that he wasn't talking about the core guys on that team. That 2010 team had a lot of the pieces that went 12-4 form 2008. That 08 squad was one of the most complete rosters we've ever fielded outside of Jake Delhomme, he was the weak link.

He finally met a defense that is containing him and lot letting him roll out to extend plays. If he can’t adjust and climb the pocket and deliver the ball they are going to get completely destroyed.

I don't think the games are outright rigged. But I do think they are nudged through bias and incompetence. These are the best athletes in the world. One small change or "mistake" and you totally change the dynamic of the game. I also think the NFL appeals far too much to the authority of the refs. They have been coddled far too long and have a sense of entitlement. For example, making PI's challengeable was a great move that made the game better. But the refs boycotted it and refused to make the correct calls. They do not like being told that they are wrong and that is a problem for the game.

I think he’s worth it. You can’t draft studs in mirrored positions all the time. If you don’t sign him, you’re just hoping to draft a CB who’s good and takes away from another need. I bet he’ll look even better with Brown back and some new pass rushers.

As much as I’d love TMac I’m not sure how much he improves us for next season. He’ll still probably hit the rookie wall and be limited in effectiveness. Coker and XL might make a leap next year. I’d rather us get a FA WR that is developed and can step in right away to help us. This defense desperately needs another blue chip lineman. LB is also extremely bare. Safety looks weak too. Chubba needs a back up with some wheels as well. I have a lot of faith in last years class. XL still had a decent rookie year despite his ill timed errors. Coker is a stud. Sanders and Tremble make pretty decent duo.
