  1. Meh. Potato salad? That seems Midwestern. They didn’t try very hard here. Get someone not named Balboni to take him out for some real southern food. Real Pork BBQ - East, West, and that mustard poo which is actually kind of good, fried okra, some greasy ass Collards, maybe put him in a diabetic coma with a cheerwine and a moonpie for dessert. edit: okay okay,I retract the KB dig. She is from Southern Pines, apparently. She gets a pass.
  2. Don’t think perryman is more than a bandaid upgrade over Whitehead. I’ve said this before but I like the value of Cam McGrone in the 3rd as a traditional MLB. I would love to find an LB that excels in coverage that could maybe take over for Shaq after a year - but with the amount of needs we have, that is a luxury. Shaq is a good, valuable, vet, and really any issues with him stem directly from his contract. unfortunately we had been counting on him being more than that for a long time and it just never happened.
  3. Really? I don’t think I could disagree more. The obvious issue was the Kalil signing but I really think JR had a hand in that. Norwell, Ginn, Mitchell, Oher, Coleman and Tillman were all excellent signings. There were quite a few decent ones like Love, Allen, Harper, cotchery, and Florence and Finnegan as well. I guess Boykin and Shepard kind of sucked but I don’t think their contracts really hurt us. DG’s strength, mAybe the only strength, was pro scouting. He has a career built on it.
  4. Little and Grier were both terrible. Gaulden was terrible. And then going back Armanti and Pickles were both inexcusable. It wasn’t just a whiff when Hurn-dog missed it was a catastrophe. I really never felt that way about DG’s picks. I guess at least with his misses, I could understand the logic. The one I didn’t care for was Funchess but I still understood their thinking.
  5. I agree with what you’ve got here and I am now even more sure that we have to hit on a DT. I’ll add that some of the areas where we are good (wr, c, entire LB corp, G, even RT) are adequate right now this year but likely could be a hole next year. Paradis is as good as gone, Moton is up in the air, so are Shaq and Robbie. I wouldn’t skip out on those positions just because we are good at the moment. LB would still make the list for a need for me either an actual MLB or a coverage guy to replace Shaq next year.
  6. Really? I can think of a billion other things worse than that. I’m not even sure an all-pro receiver is more valuable than a solid LT.
  7. I’d take that trade from WFT, take a tackle AND take Elijah Moore as that slot weapon to take the pressure off of our QB. He and DJ should be fairly interchangeable with Robby remaining on the outside.
  8. You sold me on Tremble. As sexy as a those elite strictly pass-catching TEs are, I would love to have one that can block. Think of how much it would help CMC to have a real TE for once. LB - I’m big on Cam McGrone. He’s probably there in the third. He looks like a prototypical MLB to me. CB - Ambry Thomas and Camryn Bynum. I like them both. I doubt Djax or Bouye get resigned so I’m betting we take at least one corner in these middle rounds. S - Damar Hamlin - Seems like he could be a rich man’s Tre Boston. OLine - D’ante Smith looked really strong in the senior bowl. Aaron Banks and David Moore at guard are both guys I’d target. Both are mean and nasty. Banks is a big mf that pushes people around. Moore, isn’t quite as tall - more of a freezer chest that is surprisingly athletic. DL - Jaylen Twyman - quick DT that looks like he could make a splash as a 3-tech beside Brown or maybe line up as a DE in a 3-man front.
  9. Use the hype for those players to maximize return for trading back.
  10. D’ante Smith is going to be a real good player. I saw some people struggling in the senior bowl 1 on 1s. He was not one of them. Easily imposing his will. It looked easy for him.
  11. Nice avatar. I’ve got that on a mask.
  12. I like his mobility in that clip - both when actually running and when moving laterally to throw. I can’t think of a panthers QB that was good at that. I hope we see plenty more of these type of highlights. watching Teddy repeatedly take off like he was Vick and then lumbering down the field like he was Eli was infuriating.
  13. Is that Belding? Why is he in the 1800s?
  14. Sometimes when I’m trying to last longer I bed, I try to name all of our linemen including backups and practice squad. I dream of the day when I can’t last beyond the starting 5 because of how big, mean, and nasty they are.
  15. You guys are super bowl or bust? Man, just give me some playoff runs for now. Just no more shitty seasons for a while.
  16. What if Sam throws his girlfriend onto a futon full of weapons and gets put on the commissioner’s exempt list? You didn’t account for that scenario.
  17. I like the idea of drafting Moton insurance. Give the guy a year to develop. If he looks promising, then why not keep a 22 yr old on a rookie deal rather than paying top dollar to a vet, and maybe we land a comp pick along the way.
  18. So relieved that we didn’t give up 30 first round picks. I’m fully behind loading up the line for Darnold. And if he blows, we have the line ready to block for Crum. I can hear it now: CRUUUUMM! POOUUNDDING! CRUM!! POOUUNDING!
