  1. He looked washed last season. He didn’t look like he could play a dozen games if Bryce got hurt. That’s when I was ready to move on.
  2. Now you send a late pick for Winston, Howell or some other JAG and see what he can do with some semblance of an NFL QB.
  3. That’s why I’ve always hated Dalton as backup this off-season. No real challenge to the position or ability to run the offense for a full season. It really feels like Tepper is making the decisions and is forcing Bryce on Dave and this team.
  4. You have to know if anything is there in Canales too. He needs a chance with a QB that can run his game plan. If this gets torn down again, everyone in the building needs to go. No holdovers, no anyone. Maybe Canales is poo too. But if we ever want another coach to come here for any reason other than money, we better give this one a fair shot.
  5. Even when the Hornets had the smallest point guard in the NBA, he was still good.
  6. This falls on Tepper. No one that is worth a damn wants to work for him.
  7. Dragging your junk through broken glass and washing it off in lemon juice would be less painful than watching the second half.
  8. It wont matter because Diaper Dave will make the pick again. We are in suckville until he sells the team. So forever.
  9. We dont want to be terrible. We ARE terrible. Weve been terrible. 8 years under Tepper terrible. Many of us are over meaningless stats and moral victories. Yay we beat the Falcons last week. Who cares. We are going on a decade of being one of, if not the worst, team in the NFL. As a fan, I'm over it. Tepper promised we weren't going to be mediocre. He sure as fug delivered on his promise.
  10. Hate to say it but the best thing is for the Pats to keep their foot on the gas. Make a statement and drop a 50 burger on us.
  11. Billy B was very good at this, finding the Grey areas in the rule book. Now he did flat out cheat too. I remember when Peyton said he would call a play and Luke would call it out right after. He was a human cheat code.
  12. We seem allergic to investing in an actual return guy. Guys like Devin Hester could change a game in 3 seconds but we've always been allergic to that idea.
  13. Trading a 1st round pick after 1 season we might get a pack of Hubba Bubba and a scratch off ticket. And not even good Hubba Bubba flavors like watermelon, but that mystery flavor that tasted like a piece of candy your grandmama handed you from her purse that had been wrapped in a piece of tissue from 1957.
  14. I liked the physical potential in AR, but I always thought he had maturity issues on the field and it was going to take the right coach to reign him in before his playing style led to the end of his career. He couldn't be Cam light because he lacked the size to take the punishment and the was some obvious emotional immaturity that we all have at that age. That said, the only coaches I thought might be able to handle him was Ben Johnson, Steichen, Ryans or Dan Campbell. There was no way I would have ever traded up for him. Even at 9 he would have been a risky pick. He was always a project QB to sit a year at minimum like Love. As soon as Reich was named HC, he went off my board.
  15. I didnt list Addison because while he's picked up some when JJ was out, he hasn't been consistent as an established WR2. I had CD and Pickens listed QJ is leading LAC right now but its only been 3 games and so far, this is more an anomaly in his career than the norm, but that can obviously change if he keeps it up throughout the season. Godwin is supposed to play this weekend so we'll see what that does for Egbuka, but TB does have a 1/2 punch already in the list. Buffalo is always an anomaly because you can never figure out what the hell Josh Allen is going to do. But if I had to say Keon or Shakir is the clear number 1, I dont think I could argue it either way because it's week to week, unlike when Diggs was there. The point i was making is that there's only 10-12 teams out of 32 that you can argue have clearly defined WR1 and 2 week in and week out. Most teams don't and to suggest thats the reason Bryce can't be successful when other QBs are is disingenuous. There are problems in this offense. Bryce and his limitations are part of them. Dave's offense is part of them. Im not so sure that there is this massive talent gap between us and the other 31 NFL teams on offense, and if there is, heads need to roll considering how much has been spent on offense.
  16. Teams that have clearly established WR1 and WR2 roles that are both legit threats. Miami - Hill and Waddle Dallas - Lamb and Pickens Detroit - St Brown and Williams Rams - Puka and Adams Eagles - Brown and Smith Tampa - Evans and Godwin Cinci- Chase and Higgins Chargers - McConkey and Allen Too soon to tell Chicago - Moore and Odunze Giants - Nabors and Robinson Thats it really. You could argue Pittman and Pierce in Indy but one of them is always hurt it seems. Of the 32 teams, those are the only ones that if you took away the WR1, the 2 could step into the role. Those are the only clear WR1 and WR2 in the NFL right now imo.
  17. I guess all the air getting let out of the building sounds different from Sphincter Stadium.
  18. Here's the truth. This ain't college and it damn sure ain't Bama thats got a much better talent pool than almost anyone they played against by far other than Georgia. Players don't make the transition from college to the NFL all the time. All teams have QB issues. Certain coaches can spot QB talent like Andy Reid but those are extremely rare and a unicorn as much as a Tom Brady is.
  19. Yes. Its not common for teams to have legit WR1 and WR2 spots. Not many teams have a Chase/Higgins or Hill/Waddle. It's usually WR1 and whoever stands out at WR2. Great QBs elevate the players around them. Great coaches realize when players aren't getting it done and put their ass on the bench and replace them with someone who will. It's not on the QB alone.
  20. Me either. He was right hand man with one of the worst GMs imo the NFL has ever seen. I still think Tepper, or his evaluation model/algorithm is heavily involved in our process somehow. If our top 3 work out we'll this year, I'm not sure that's a good thing for us long term, as least as far as Daddy Dave's involvement in our selection process.
  21. Darnold and Baker weren’t as bad as we made them which is impressive because Sam was terrible before he got here.
  22. He may have his priorities straight. If he’s happy doing what he’s doing, why risk permanent body or brain injury? It sucks for us, and we could and should have drafted someone else. Just more proof our scouting department needs serious overhaul.
  23. This is why Ive always thought Bryce was a Dave and Nicole pick and been doomed to failure from the beginning. If you look at Frank and his past offense, Bryce was always the least likely to fit. Square peg in a round hole. That's not saying anything against Bryce. He was put in a bad position from the very beginning with a coach who didnt want him because his skill set didnt fit what he does as well as Stroud's did. And that was obvious because Frank didnt care once Bryce was drafted. He didnt even get an opportunity to do his job so why pretend to care. Bryce needs an offense specifically designed around him, but that wasn't going to be Frank because Dave overruled him even choosing his own QB, and now DC whose offense isn't really built around Bryce's style either. You gotta let a HC chose his QB and instead we've been trying to find a HC to fit our QB which is a much larger ask and we have a leftover hire at GM from one of the worst GMs in NFL history. This whole thing has been fugged from the beginning. And whether youre a Bryce lover or hater, the clear issue is Dave and Nicole made a franchise defining football decision without understanding football.
  24. Weve done quite a few trades in our history. Even the Olsen trade was a player for a pick. When you look at our trades across the board, we've been on the losing end far more than we've been successful or broke even.
