You have to take either of them if they're there. Best case scenario is if you pick up Sam's 5th year option and he balls out this year, he can be traded easily next offseason since his value is way up and in a favorable contract for a starting QB ($18M I believe?). Get a haul of picks to build around the QB that was drafted and that spent a year learning. You then have extra picks, extra cash to build through free agency and the draft while your QB is on his rookie contract.

If all those players are gone by the time we pick, it means either Justin Fields or Trey Lance is available (Mac Jones too but big no to him) OR Jamar Chase. If it’s this situation, i’d try to trade down and if we can’t (Would find it hard to do so since at least one team will be trying to grab that QB)...We have to go QB or Jamar Chase. With top 10 pick you have to go with potential franchise QB or BPA that has elite talent.

Yes, I would love to double dip with Slater and Jenkins but I don’t think he’ll get past Green Bay at the 29th pick.
