I do like Pickett but the value isn't great at our pick. Would love to trade down and pick up a 2nd rounder + more and then take Pickett later in the 1st so we can go OL in the 2nd. But at 6 I'm not so sure about him.

He pulled a LeBron James and went to the most stacked team out there. Yes they were 7-9 the year before he got there but they had a ton of cap space and high draft picks and their D was stacked as well as their OL and weapons. Most favorable situation imaginable for a QB to just step into. Plus Arians gets a lot of poo but he had success in Indy and Arizona so it's not like he's some total scrub HC. Brady didn't even play all that well in the playoffs the year the Bucs won. Got lucky to play a losing record Washington team, Brees meltdown, Packers game he threw 3 terrible INTs and their D carried them in the SB against Mahomes with no OL due to injuries. Is Brady one of the top QBs to play the game? Yes, for sure. Is he better than guys like Rodgers, Manning, Montana, Marino, even Mahomes so far? Nope. Super Bowl wins are team accomplishments, not individual.

Completely agree. Watson likely isn't happening but if it can work out for decent value and he can get cleared to play then great. If not we need to draft a QB this year, give him 2 years and if he still sucks at that point draft another one. Rinse and repeat until we hit on a QB. One issue terrible teams run into is drafting a QB high then sticking with them for 3-4+ years despite them sucking. I can't believe that the Giants are sticking with Daniel Jones, that dude is trash. Just like Darnold.

Agreed. Chiefs D was terrible this year, their best pass rusher was an old and washed up Melvin Ingram who they got for free basically.

Lol do even follow the NFL. The Chiefs lost that exact way 3 years ago to the Patriots and then tried to get the OT rule changed, they were voted down by teams (including the Bills themselves). Then Reid and others even after last week commented that they need to change the OT rules. Reid/Mahomes/other Chiefs have never made any excuses.

Yes they were good adjustments but at the end of the day with Reid’s track record and experience along with Mahomes’ and their recent playoff success to blow that lead at home in this situation is flat out unacceptable. The Chiefs are such a significantly better team than the Bengals and the first half was indicative of that, they just choked it away badly in the 2nd half. If Rams get by their kryptonite tonight I think Stafford gets his ring this year.

Not at all actually. Play call is quick pass to end zone, if it’s not there you throw it away. There was more than enough time to run a play for a TD. Mahomes choked it.
