Ehh, Pats starters couldn’t move the ball that great against our backups. That was a good drive from Bryce
-
Nice!!! Good enough drive to me to now pull Bryce and other starters. End on a positive note
-
Sanders is gonna be a stud at least
-
All this means is we aren’t trading him for a mid round pick. We are already “paying top dollar” by deciding to pick up his 5th year option.
-
Lol nobody said that last year. And it's not just skill players I'm referring to in my post but OL too. I wouldn't trade our offensive roster outside of Bryce for more than like 15 teams'. Which is why my post said we can be "average or better." The general belief around here is our offensive roster is like bottom 5 or the worst in the league. With Bryce included, maybe if he doesn't take any steps forward. But outside of Bryce I just don't agree, I would say it's closer to middle of the pack. We added a 1st round WR and the top RB in the draft along with Diontae, plus invested significantly in the interior OL. It's already MUCH better than last year, when it was possibly the worst in the entire league.

Art Stapleton (NY media) Jaycee Horn possible trade candidate

Wouldn’t surprise me. Would be devastatingly stupid but that is the norm for us these days -

I’d take a 1st from a team expecting to pick in the top 10-15 but otherwise I just keep him. He really is a legit shutdown 1 corner when healthy but of course health is a huge huge concern. But yeah obviously if we trade him dude will go on to start like 100 straight games and make multiple all pro teams. -
Honestly on paper aside from Bryce this just is not a bad offense if healthy. Only glaring weakness outside of QB is TE, although I do really like Sanders -- just not expecting a ton from him as a rookie. It's on Bryce and coaching if we aren't a top 16 offense this year, because the rest of the pieces are good enough to be average or better.

yeah I only watched probably 10 minutes of preseason action so far. In previous years I'd easily watch 3+ hours total, sometimes watched full games but pretty much always tuned in for the starters at least. Also, only training camp day I've followed was the Jets joint practice, in previous years I'd read up the highlights from every day of camp. Really damn hard to get interested/invested in this team any more, which is just sad.

Haven’t watched but just checked the box score. Is this Plummer line really correct??? 11/16 for 42 yards? How the fug is that even possible man? Less than 4 yards per completion…
-
As mentioned above, he came back out in full pads (but didn't participate more just being cautious) and is by all accounts just fine. In general, I wouldn't fall into the trap of reading too much into "being carted off" during training camp. No matter how minor something is they bring the cart.

There is zero chance they are the 1 seed above teams like the 49ers, Lions, Eagles, even Cowboys. It’s the fuging Falcons lol. Terrible HC hire too

Lol nah Kirk Cousins will never have a deep playoff run

The Jets Joint Practice Thread: HOT Take Edition
t96 replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's probably a very long way off and by then the league would probably look much different (international, 2-3 bye weeks, etc.). But I do see it going to 18 games within the next 2-3 years and if the NFLPA has their way that'd cut it down to 2 preseason games. Honestly, the amount of preseason games the NFL has had historically is kinda ridiculous. I get it's not a direct comparison with other leagues since the sports are different along with roster construction, but NHL has 6 preseason games compared to 82 regular season, and NBA is 4 and 82. That's 7.3% and 4.9% of their regular seasons respectively. NFL for a long time was 4 preseason and 16 regular season, 25% of the regular season length... Now down to 17.6% but that's still just really high to me. 2 preseason, 18 regular season seems to make sense, although I get the NFLPA pushing back on extending the regular season. -

1 or maybe 2 more preseason games may go away if the regular season keeps getting extended. But that's a ton of revenue that they won't just let go unless they're replacing it with more real games. Season ticket holders have to pay full price for those preseason games, they're not going to be replaced by "scrimmages" or joint practices. -
Charlotte needs him and LaMelo to be like Steph Curry -- early career injury issues that eventually subsided to allow for superstardom.

ok seriously I don't know what more you could ask for in a joint practice like this. Credit to Canales and hopefully this type of effort and performance does carry over into the regular season.- 586 replies

Bryce will suck but post nfl career he will win a grammy -
What indication have we been given that anyone Tepper hires is “the guy they think he is?” I’m totally willing to give Canales a chance and I agree with you here about Bryce, but man I just have absolutely zero confidence in any of Tepper’s decisions being the right ones considering everything we’ve seen so far. From the moves this season promoting Morgan just did not sit right with me at all, in particular.
