He is off the scale in the metrics. 6'8" 320 and can play both Tackle positions. Has played against Ohio State's Young and Iowa's Espinoza and had good games. This looks like a Rhule guy.
-
Trey Smith and Jabril Cox are high on that scale and are positions we need. I'd love Smith if they are fine with his medicals.

After seeing the sausage as the finished product, I'm fine now.

Depends on who we get. Merlinz was still there. Wanted him or Davis and Davis is gone.

Round 3(b) - Carolina Panthers Select Notre Dame TE Tommy Tremble
bobcat91 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Jeremiah just said he reminds him of Kittle. Ill take it. Now a G -
Merlinz and Cox and I will give this draft a B+ /A-. Much better than a Hurney draft
-
They said there were about 150 guys on their board so yeah let's get a lot of picks in the 200 range. Stupid. We don't need depth right now, we need difference makers. Not happy

Got to be the TCU S if he is there

Can't wait til Darnold shoves it up our fans ass. Not his fault he had no weapons and played for a bottom 2 franchise

NFL Network says we are one of 3 teams trying to move up to pick 34 from the Jets

If anyone mentions Mond again, I'm going to be sick. He is not any better than whats on our roster. He won't make us one bit better. He is worse that Clausen. Please stop with that crap.

Here’s a little nugget for your Friday. The Stanford double-dip.
bobcat91 replied to Bronn's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we want a sleeper qb from Stanford, look a KJ Costello. Graduated at Stanford, transferred to Mississippi State, set an SEC record for passing yards vs LSU and then disappeared after a couple of bad showings. A lot of that was on the new Air Raid offense being installed and lack of offensive help. Great arm, but questionable instincts. Will be there in the 6th when you are taking a flyer on guys anyway. Best part is it requires no draft capital to be given away. -
If we go S in the second, then barring a trade back into the second, I'd like to concentrate rounds 3 through 5 on IOL and a WR. We can absolutely strengthen the interior while still needing help at LT. Sadly, we just can plug every hole with this draft.
-
Where? 2nd round or 3rd. Who would you get with our second round pick if we go OL?
-
I think he is our second round pick. Rhule likes ability and thinks he can coach them up. His history says he can. People talk about selecting defensive players forget how bad our defense was. Rhule didn't come into a ready made job. He came into a situation where there were holes everywhere needing to be fixed. It was a 2 to 3 year fix not draft a few guys and make the playoffs.
-
I was fine with CB at 8 last night after seeing the run on corners in the first round that lead to teams reaching. In round 2, the CB pickings are slim. I'd love the thought of a S as its a need but the talent at LT will be gone by our round 3 pick so S is a luxury we can't afford with the condition of our OL. Got to go LT with the second pick unless they are planning on trading into the second again.

Round 1 - Carolina Panthers Select CB Jaycee Horn

And we didn't get Sewell and must not have liked Slater. Plenty in the second -
Round 1 - Carolina Panthers Select CB Jaycee Horn
bobcat91 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Like the pick. Our biggest needs were LT, CB and S. We got one of the best 2 cbs in the draft and a lock down corner. Our Defense is getting salty. Need an OT in the second. Some think we needed a player or two. We are a draft or 2 away. Im good with building. Hate we didn't get Sewell -
-
Sewell would make me have an ear to ear grin like the Joker. I want Slater if Sewell is gone. If both are gone, I wouldn't mind trading back a couple of slots and get Horn. I've really warmed up to having a shut down corner. But if we draft a WR, I'm going to be pissed and in a foul mood for days.

The “Deep OT class” may not be as deep at LT in scouts eyes
bobcat91 replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thats why you don't play games. Get your LT for ten years at 8, CB/S in the second and a G in the 3rd- 49 replies

Former Jets scout Daniel Kelly on Trey Lance
bobcat91 replied to mccjeff's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, that's what I gathered as well. This isn't about a player with that tone, its a personal attack. -
Depends on who is available at 8, how far back we would go and what we could get in compensation. Too many moving parts to worry right now.
-
If one of the 2 LT is there at 8, you run to make that selection. If not, trade back, pick up picks and get Darisaw. We wasted a lot of talent by having a crappy OL. We are finally in a position to change that. You can find WR in round 3, like Agent 89. Star LT, not. Dont over think this

Source: Panthers Open to Drafting Quarterback With No. 8 Pick
bobcat91 replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Our OL is still garbage. Thats the mind blowing aspect of this. We watched Cam go from an incredible talent to a nonfunctional QB due to garbage OL. I dont want a QB, WR, TE,CB, etc until we spend our first few picks on OL. Rhule is not an idiot and was an NFL OL coach. He sees this dumpster fire and as much as folks here want shiny things, I want in your face road grading animals that open holes and run the Chase Youngs of the world into Winston-Salem. Dont be stupid.
