  1. And I get that, I actually have the utmost faith in our current personnel. If they’re that convicted in him then they probably shouldn’t move off him for anything. I like Bryce plenty as a prospect and think he’s a lock to be a top 5 pick in every draft ever, but I do think there are some red flags and I like what CJ offers quite a lot as well. But again, I’m just a random guy who’s never played a down of football. I do my scouting by following people I trust on twitter and watching YouTube videos, hardly a perfect science. I’m not saying this is the right opinion, if our FO comes to the determination that Bryce is that much better than the rest then I have faith in them. Just to the average Joe like me I think it’s close enough that I’d trade Bryce for CJ if it meant an extra top 15 pick to go with it.
  2. I think Bryce is the best QB in this draft but not by that wide of a margin. Hypothetically speaking if that’s on the table I highly consider it as I don’t think the drop off between Bryce and CJ/AR is that large. If they threw in a 24 first I’m probably even more eager on it. The thing with this draft is it’s so weak at the top. But I think CJ & JSN >> Bryce
  3. Yeah, I suppose there could have been a chance this was all still smoke to get Houston to make a deal, but with all the reports that they’re trying to get out of 2 that has to seal the deal and this thing is over
  4. Most teams do not start a veteran quarterback. Not anymore at least. The rookie starts from Day 1 with zero questions asked. in todays NFL you win by finding a good QB on a rookie deal. Almost any rookie will have growing pains, you want to get those out of the way asap.
  5. Are Adam Schefter, Chris Mortensen, Albert Breer, Lance Zierlein, Peter King, all just guessing to when they say this is basically done? I’m not even someone that cares too strongly who the team selects. It can be Stroud, Young or Richardson and I’m all in. But this feels like a done deal barring an unforeseen late development.
  6. Visits play a very small role in this decision making process in my opinion. I think like 85% film, 10% combine, 5% visits is how these teams make decisions
  7. Also, I’ll be floored if we get 33 for #1 overall. MAYBE a third. People acting like 12 is remotely on the table could not be more delusional.
  8. I just feel like if that’s the scenario you’re getting a third at best
  9. Locks Mahomes Herbert Allen Lawrence Probably Burrow Jackson
  10. Last year was a unique year in terms of how bad the draft was at the top. Even still we knew almost a week before the draft it was likely Travon
  11. Why? The moment we made this trade there were only two potential picks. Literally a 50/50 chance of getting it right lmao
  12. Are we honestly sure 95 qualifies as a “very” good football player? I hardly remember noticing him after TNF game last year
  13. Is that a bad thing, though? Imo one of the biggest selling points for AR is how he’s probably hitting on one end or the other. He’s either going to the moon or he’s maybe a career backup. If they took him, everyone in that building and their job is tied to developing him and making him successful. It’s not my life. And within two years you’ll probably know if you have something or not. I fear ending up with a Daniel Jones type way more than I fear ending up with a Zach Wilson. Like the Jets already know the guy they took is bad and they’re able to make new plans, the Giants just gave Danny huge money and no one on this planet thinks he’s capable of winning a SB. All this being said, I’m definitely still taking Bryce and CJ before AR. But that’s part of the selling point for AR to me.
  14. They are in two totally different tiers as players, this isn’t even meant to be a slight on DB who’s a fine player. But I don’t think he’d get half that on the open market right now
  15. I would prefer BY by the slightest of margins but I still think it’s CJ which I’d be more than fine with. I also wouldn’t complain if they swung for the fences and took AR.
  16. Says who? He had two generational talents to build around and has three winning seasons in 10+ years? In what universe is he “solid” at his job?
  17. Hell yes, we always kill it drafting EDGE/DE in round 2 also so I’m confident.
  18. Why? Burrow’s was Ryan Finley. Couldn’t tell you who Lawrence’s was. If your QB gets hurt the season is a wash anyways.
  19. Maybe just start your #1 pick right away like… every #1 pick ever?
