  1. Eh it seems like he’s done a decent job building a locker room culture with a bad team, which isn’t easy to do. He also shows that he can dial up great drives/play design. But damn, the playing not to lose in the 4th quarter was tough to watch. I was glad to see that we stuck to the run but it’s not bad to throw in a play action when everyone on the field thinks you are trying to run the clock out.
  2. At some point we have to start keeping our best players. It’s not an insane amount of money and he earned it. But it would make even more sense if Canales would actually stick to his guns and make running the ball an emphasis.
  3. I never understood the Mingo pick, but I was a huge fan of the TMJ pick. Like I’ve said before I’d be a horrible GM. To the WR topic, hopefully Dan learns a lesson here about drafting natural route runners/hands catchers instead of athletic projects. He really lucked into Coker.
  4. I really feel like Coker’s athleticism is undersold. The dude had a 42” vertical, which is generally agreed to be a great metric for explosive athleticism. He seems to have plenty of speed on the field
  5. Pff be damned, it passes the eye test with the DL. Dear god we need to spend an entire draft on DE and DT. Honestly, I think our defense would be below average to average if we had a Brown healthy + another starting DE.
  6. It just feels inevitable. Big plays resulting in drops and turnovers. Every game
  7. 1st and 10 new drive, double screen lose 5 yards. Why run it right?
  8. Y’all in here pooing good plays from Bryce are a sad bunch. Just enjoy the something for once in your miserable lives
  9. Bryce has throw 2 bad passes that really stick out. The mingo one should have been picked but also, what TF was he doing? Attack the ball don’t wait for it. And that sideline pass in the red zone was just forced, stared him down the whole way. But, he has done a much better job navigating the pocket and stepping up. So that’s at least nice to see. But this is a trash defense so I’d expect him to play okay against the saints. The biggest problem is just the lack of execution on plays. Canales tries to get cute with trick plays and pick plays (XL injury) but our guys consistently miss assignments and the plays are dead on arrival. That’s 100% on coaching and it’s been a problem all year.
  10. It wasn’t even a bang bang play. He obviously missed the ball then got decapitated a full second later. Completely ejection worthy
  11. Bryce got a 54, which seems about right. Not week 1&2 bad, but still bad https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/news/panthers-pff-grades-jalen-coker-shy-tuttle-shine-in-week-8-loss-to-broncos-01jba14574nb
  12. I actually agree given the circumstances. Had a couple great intermediate passes to Coker & XL, just missed XL deep, the first int was a mix of him and Tremble timing off but it was easily catchable, second int was underthrown and a great defensive play. I dunno, it was obvious the gameplan was to get the ball out quickly against the defense leading the league in sacks, so I wasn’t too shocked that they weren’t trying long developing routes.
  13. I defended Bryce last season, and thought maybe the first game was just a bad game all around. Yesterday was the breaking point. He had to be benched and it was clear to everyone watching. I don’t know wtf happened this offseason but he looks so much worse than last season, which was pretty bad. But at least he was making “some” accurate throws last season. He’s just missing everything this year and looks like a high school player back there. It’s more damaging to just keep trotting him out there. Let him sit and learn, calm down, go see a sports therapist, hit the gym, get hungry, fight for the starting spot.
  14. Rattler definitely had boneheaded decisions, but he also had some unbelievable throws off his back foot (a lot of them deep) with pressure right on him. When he had time and stayed in rhythm he was great. Honestly think he will surprise people in the NFL. Sucks he went to the Saints though.
  15. Y'all think the Panthers' O-line is bad, feast your eyes on this dumpster fire.
  16. I think it’s underselling XL a bit by saying he’s only a deep threat. He runs a killer stop route (helped by his deep threat ability) and he is absolutely lethal on crossing routes and slants. This MFer can run and once he catches the ball with some momentum he could be gone. I think I remember him hitting the season record in terms of in-game top speed last year? But yeah, he doesn’t have combine speed, actual game speed.
  17. Trading the one WR with any chemistry with Bryce (AT) and our best OL (Moton), combined with adding void years and kicking the can down the road for a bottom 5 roster, might be the worst take I’ve read on this forum. Pretty miraculous
  18. lol I’m convinced Bryce whooped you in high school football or something cause you have legitimate hatred for the dude
  19. Maybe deep yeah, but it’s the lack of intermediate throws that drove me mad with Teddy, and us this year the first 3 games. At least we’ve seen more 15-20 yard passes the last few.
  20. Still not sure wtf happened with the play-calling. We were actually running off-tackle and doing some play action effectively. It’s pretty obvious we can’t just shotgun air raid so I’m not sure why we keep trying. Bryce made some great throws though and missed some as well. But no big mistakes. I agree I’d like to see more deep shots. On that tight throw to Hurst it looks like TMJ was gonna be open on that deep post. But I imagine it’s tough trusting your line at this point. I think getting Corbett back in there will be huge.
  21. My patience with Fitt was wearing thin going into this year....but my god declining the Burns trade to the Rams, the DJ Johnson trade, and the Sanders signing are some of the worst decisions I've seen. It's weird because on paper, the signings this offseason "seemed" good. Hurst, Von Bell, Justin Houston, Thielen, Chark...they were all pretty widely agreed on to be good signings. But they haven't worked out. Not sure if it's just Fitt not realizing what schemes the coaches are implementing because everyone but Thielen seems like they are playing out of position. With Hurney and Gettleman it always seemed like we made horrible offseason signings who would occasionally outplay themselves. But with Fitt, they always underperform
