Our defense demands A LOT from our DTs to work since Burns and Reddick are speed guys who take some crazy wide angles. Yesterday scared me even more than the Dallas game in terms of getting exposed. And unfortunately, there really isn't much we can do about it except blitz the gaps to get some one-on-ones.

If O-linemen are getting their hands on LBs as quickly as their were today, it doesn’t matter if Luke and TD were in. We saw it Luke’s last few years here. Gotta let the linebackers roam free to stuff the run

I was thinking .500 would be a realistic goal. This team is definitely not as bad as the vocal posters make it out to be. It’s hard to win in the NFL and this year is showing that around the league. Buffalo just got blown out by Indy and the Bucs lost to Washington last week. Heinicke had a couple of very risky plays that could have easily been turnovers. We were 1 or 2 plays away from winning this one.

I haven’t seen that many missed tackles since 2016. Was bad.

Still want to give him another season to see where we are at. Playing the coaching roulette game never works for franchises. I feel like you have to give them 3 years unless they are like 0-3 wins bad the first 2 years. We are 5-6. How about we let the season finish before calling for heads?

It has to be Paradis' calls. And it would happen often where the D would blitz and o-lineman would be standing around without anyone to block.

O-line has played okay but CMC has been chipping pretty well and PJ is getting the ball out quick. Really shows how broken Darnold was the last few games. And our receivers are catching the ball which is a nice change. Continuing to blame Darnold for Robby dropping all those passes is hilarious though.

Nailed it 100%. Without a running game it’s much harder to pass/pass block. Without the appropriate scheme, quick decision making, and good routes by receivers who can catch, you are going to be an atrocious offense. Its no one issue, it’s literally the whole offense. But it starts with personnel decisions and coaching for sure.

I wanted Fields. But changed my mind after watch Horn play. Honestly, one of the best shutdown corners I’ve watched and he’s a rookie. It’ll pay off in the long run. The issue with Fields is the same as it was in college. One game he looks like an absolute stud (see Clemson game) and the next he is missing receivers badly, processing slowly, taking sacks. That tells me that he still needs work seeing the whole field and processing the defense. So we would have had to be patient with him behind this line. He would have probably been up and way down quite a lot for a few years. Something which should be obvious that our fans couldn’t take. Leading to chants to take a QB after 2 years. And that is how our transition to the Jets would be complete.
