I wanted a center over Brooks, but he's here now so i'm jumping on board. Break him in with 5-6 touches a game and work him up to 15 or so by the end of the year. Put the miles on Chuba and Sanders so when walk away from them next year this kid can explode. Take Raheem Sanders in the 4th for a power back and lets keep this thing a going.

his last extension was 2yrs 36 mil. If he balls out i dont see why he wouldnt be worth it. just got to trust our new cap genius can limit the effects. If everyone else in the room is on rookie deals having someone making 22 million isnt the end of the world. Hopefully Mingo improves.

I’m already thinking of a scenario where Johnson balls out and we extend him another year. Give him what he’s making now plus the 6 mil from cutting Sanders next year

with all the resources we've poured into our offense. Hunt, Lewis, Johnson, Leggette, Sanders, and Brooks. Half the offensive spots have improved and we have a coach who made Geno Smith and Baker look solid. If we can't get to 6 wins this season and show a little life I'll be disappointed. Really cheering for the kid though. Father and Brother in law both went to Bama so I've been watching and cheering for him for years.

There are 4 centers out there who started last year in free agency still sitting out there and people have to trim down their rosters. I fully expect us to bring one in. Also since we have 2 5ths and 2 7ths next year maybe we can trade for a depth one to a team for a backup center.

I wanted them too, but there will be another starting caliber center next year when we are picking at 37. Going to take another year to build out this trash roster. Hopefully 2 years from now we don’t have to over pay to get guys here because they can see it’s trending the right way.

This is kind of how I feel. Just hoping Legette can break some quick screens/slants because he’s so physical and once Brooks recovers he’s our bell cow so next year can save money by cutting Sanders and using it elsewhere.

I agree with Center, but OT this year I think is fine. Nijman from the Packers has over 20 starts there and Brady has a few there too. Center though is certainly worrisome.

Was hoping for the Arkansas center here , but don’t hate it. Depth and hopefully he can learn behind Ashawn for 2 years then replace him and have a starter on a late round pick contract for 2 years.

I can see this. But the fact we walked away with 3 weapons and LB to red shirt and replace Shaq next year plus getting us a 2nd next year I feel like already we could have done worse. Not screaming excitement but definitely don’t hate this draft.

As long as we win 5+ games and he looks good bit better i want to see what else we can do as Dan and Dave build out this roster. Fully expecting another top 6-7 pick next year. But long as we are progressing I’m happy.

I was frustrated with the pick when there were 4 guys I’d of loved to have there at 65 still sitting there. But then I got to think surely Morgan knows how to pick a LB better than me.

Watching the PFF broadcast and they are a solid 2 picks ahead of espn.

Also if we take him in the 2nd I feel like pretty much means we’ve already given up on Robinson as anything more than a special teams player who could be gone in a year.

Wouldn’t be mad about it if we traded down from 33 to 44 to get him. But I feel like at 33 there will be better options. Lassiter, mckinstrey, Tampa, and Rakestraw will all be there early round 2.

i'm just going to check at the end of the evening to see who is left. Probably get myself all excited about the possibilities just to get let down.

I don’t know I’m so hopeful but really hoping for great return on these 2nd rounders this year. After seeing what Detroit got last year out of Laporta at 34 and Branch at 45 I for some reason have talked myself into thinking this regime can extract the same value with 33/39. Silly me I know. At some point we have to flip the script right?

If Barton or Powers Johsnon are there i wouldnt hate it. Not as exciting as fantasy land where you can still trade down and get one of your guys. Maybe we'd trade down and still land Frazier. I wouldnt even be mad if it was C/CB at 33/39 as long as it upgraded the team as a whole. Going to need 1 more off season to fix this mess.

Im all for a small trade down to like 35-42 if it means we can add a 3rd or 4th this year. I dont want to wait until next. .
