That was mock drafts, not the player rankings. People mocked Stroud to us for a bit but Young was still #1 on big boards. I was talking about consensus on rankings I thought the other guy was too.

There are very clearly a few people who are not looking to have honest discussion, OP included, and goat boys shenanigans have pretty much poisoned the well for all Stroud supporters. I was actually back and forth on Stroud and Young, but after it became clear that Young was the pick some of us accepted it, and a select few buried their head in the sand and tried to discredit everything and make this place a complete poo show.

Just saying, the other day I looked at the first 8 search results for 2023 big boards and 5 of 8 had Young as the top overall prospect and the lowest he was ranked as a prospect was 4th with all of them having him as the #1 QB. You’re free to your opinion on whether he’s the top prospect, but there are many who have him ranked above Carter, Anderson, and Robinson.

They’re probably reading this board like “Jfc, how much clearer can we make it? Alright let’s leak to another reporter I guess.”

I’ve become so disenfranchised with this transfer portal era of college basketball. College bball was once my favorite sport to watch, it’s just hard to get invested now.

In the McGinn article, the executive clearly stated that the 18% was Strouds “total” score. It is possible he mischaracterized it, but it was clearly distinguished as a total score. The article also went into a little bit of detail on what the test consisted of and different areas that were scored, so I don’t think there was a lack of understanding of the test either.

I think it’s such a subjective statement. Scored well how? Like maybe Stroud scored well in certain areas, who knows. I think at the time the statement was made, they may not have anticipated certain scores getting out. It is in their best interest to keep the narrative positive, they don’t want QBs to start declining to take the test before they have the whole NFL bought in.

I don’t know what the team is thinking, but I’m looking at Ojulari and Sanders both at OLB in a 3-4.

The 2nd round pick is really intriguing. It will be interesting on draft day to see if there’s a situation something like both Ojulari and Sanders on the board how the team values them. I’ve also seen some mock drafts in which all the players the team is most likely to covet at that pick are gone and that is terrifying.

It’s amazing how many horrendous players we tried to pass off as starters under Rivera and Rhule.

It’s a rare opportunity to be able to get the #1 overall pick in a year in which there is a consensus #1 QB who is also the #1 prospect among all positions on many big boards. It’s a really great and exciting time for the team.

Which of the 3 things are you asserting as true. Either McGinn is full of poo, all the scouts and executives got their stories straight to deceive him, or Landon used a really dumb argument based on a weeks old interview and you ran with it because you couldn’t help yourself.
