  1. Was he one of our visits? How much interest did we show? I'm guessing he might be inclined to go to one of the teams who showed interest in him during the draft process over somebody who just wants him now that the talent-value ratio simply can't be ignored. I'm sure that, like most players, there were teams who told him "If you're there when we pick, we're going to pick you." Wouldn't be surprised if that's a big factor in his decision.
  2. I hope we go after Lael Collins at the appropriate time. I know there will be a ton of teams vying for him, so I understand if we don't get him, but we need to go all out for him.
  3. He was denied entry into the supplemental.
  4. I get not every guy will be a starter, but this guy is gonna be buried so deep on the depth chart. Not so sure about this. Seemed like there were opportunities to get a guy here who could compete to get actual playing time.
  5. Isn't the other Tackle from Oklahoma still available, too? Gettleman said they looked at both of them. If he's there where we pick, it could be a coup.
  6. Originally wanted Kwon Alexander in the 4th before we took Shaq. That's gonna be a great OLB duo for the Bucs.
  7. Jets having a very good draft, imo.
  8. Hardy's a good pick for the Falcons, damn. He'll be a really good slot receiver.
  9. He's definitely a Tackle, right? Seeing him listed as Guard. As long as he's a Tackle, I'm a lot happier now. So is this guy
  10. Yeah, this board has turned into "Agree with everything Gettleman does, or you're stupid and we hate you." There's a lot of things I like about Gettleman, and I think he could be a great GM if he takes OL as seriously as he takes DL. But apparently nobody on these boards is allowed to criticize his neglectful approach to certain position groups and/or skill sets after a 7-9 season. We're still no closer to back-to-back winning seasons than we were under Hurney, Seifert, or Polian, so can we cool it on the hero worship and be a little more objective?
  11. Whoah there chief, don't get your panties too bunched up. I guess I forgot that auto-voiding contract, the one that Gross explicitly stated he did not like Gettleman for at his retirement presser, was just a rumor.
  12. You're right, he has done something. He pushed the best LT in franchise history out the door after a pro bowl season and has tried to fill the hole with dollar store signings and Byron Bell, meanwhile not investing a single draft pick, late round project or otherwise. Nothing in his history has shown me I should trust him to protect a franchise QB, even going back to the Giants.
  13. People keep saying stuff like this, but he has done nothing, absolutely nothing, to earn any sort of "benefit of the doubt" when it comes to OT. I don't trust him to protect our franchise QB, and why should I? The job he has done in that area has been simply inadequate thus far.
  14. Can't believe we gave up our third for that. I don't think any team besides us was looking at Thompson or Funchess anywhere near where we drafted them. Mind boggling.
  15. You know what you need when you have big, slow receivers? Time for their routes to develop.
  16. This is exactly my problem with the pick. I just don't see the immediate impact. Not to mention that we probably could have traded back even to the top of the 2nd and still gotten him.
  17. Wish we would have moved up a couple spots for Humphries if he was who we wanted. It was a no brainer that AZ was gonna take him.
  18. Would be surprised if Zona doesn't take Humphries. Hoping they take Collins or Gregory.
  19. I've never cheered for a non Panthers pick as much as I cheered for Leonard Williams to come off the board before the Falcons picked.
