  1. All the way up to number 1? Stround does look smooth. High ceiling low floor. AR obviously the high ceiling guy but is gonna need time. Levis also has a high ceiling but has bust potential. I like young myself but I get the size issues. That said a prime time player. So maybe that 3rd pick is our best bet and hope young or Stround are still on the board. Dark horse candidate Jaren Hall. Instead of going all in we add a young guy to compete with Corrall and develop the winner of that competition. Or the Bailey Zappe small school type Tyson Bagent is also smooth like Stround. No clue. I have a feeling I'm gonna have to learn to love Will Levis even though he seems like a tool.
  2. The first domino has fallen. Derek Carr is a Saint. What's next? I'm thinking Lamar Jackson becomes a Falcon. Atl will pay him big bucks and give up two firsts. One of which will be this years 8th overall. The Ravens trade down to add another future 1st from the team moving up. That leaves the Buccs with Kyle Trask and nobody else. They are the wildcard. Maybe they like him and are set except for a backup vet. Then there is us. We are far behind if LJ and DC show up. We have Corrall and that's it. Our option is either trade into top 5 or take a flyer on a Hooker or tanner McKee. Ouch. I like Hendon and McKee but that is a big drop off in talent from Carr and Jackson. Do we kick the can down the road and wait till 2024 for rookie? Do we resign Darnold and a Jacoby Brissett to fill the QB room? Exciting off-season this year. I think we go all in on a guy. I just wonder who it will be.
  3. Looked decent in drills. I like him more than Levis. I mean he seems more likeable. Levis rubbed me the wrong way.
  4. I was a fan to bring him in as a potential Shaq replacement earlier in the process. Now with the defensive scheme switch and his exceptional combine I give up. He will land with a perennial favorite in the later part of the first. This combine gives credence to why we are switching to a 3-4 though. The linebackers and "undersized" DE's OLB types are showing out. Give me a Owen Pappoe and Will McDonald and call it a day.
  5. Only did three rounds. After this initial defense push we go for developmental talent at WR and RB. Think Kendre Miller, Charlie Jones, and Kenny McIntosh. QB remains an issue obviously but defense is basically set. Jacoby Brissett is brought in along with a TE free agent which puts bandaids on issues for now.

    WRs

I think Jordan Addison could erase the stigma of being a USC WR. I like his combination of size and speed. If Hooker ends up being a thought at QB Hyatt could also be on the radar. Zay is my favorite for us. Speedy and nice route running. Johnston and Jaxson give me pause. Johnston looks like a contested catch monster but I worry bout route tree and separation a bit. Jaxson does not give me worries bout separation and route but injuries and scheme fit does he might be only a slot guy. It's a interesting group. I don't feel we need to rush the process. There will be prospects in all first three rounds to fill a variety of needs at WR for teams. I'm starting to see the WR class like the RB class. You can wait and find diamonds.
  7. With a loaded draft class the free agency tight ends may have some bargains. I think the Cowboys hold onto Dalton Shultz. Engram has delusions of grandeur that will keep him from signing a mid tier cheap contract. But there are options. 1. Gesicki was one of my favorite prospects in recent drafts and hoped we would draft him. We could try and sign him. 2. Hayden Hurst could come right in and be the number 1 TE and give some vet leadership to Tremble. This combo would be solid all around blocking and receiving. 3. OJ Howard was supposed to be some kinda blocking beast out of college and never lived up to his draft position but with some coaching could he? 4. Foster Moruoe. Excuse me I misspelled his last name that Louisianan stuff is tricky. With Darren Waller around he never had much of a shot for targets. He could be cheap and believe or not productive for us. No need to draft a tight end it's a luxury pick we can't afford.
  8. I don't like Payton. very punchable face. we would have to trade for him and overpay. without Brees he was not that great.
  9. Trenton Simpson, Noah Sewell and Tommy Eichenberg are the best fits at MLB. I like Owen Pappoe and Ivan Pace Jr as more OLB to add to the mix. I kinda hope we can bring Shaq back if not we need two guys.

    WRs

WR university aka LSU don't produce too many busts. his development has been retarded by the retreads and a r word HC. He should have been getting reps over Robby. I'm not saying he is Jamaar Chase or nothing but he ran with him at LSU as a trusted target of Burrow.

    WRs

that's what we need is a number 2 WR. a legit guy across from DJ and let TMJ work as the third option in the slot or on plays where DJ is in the slot he is on the outside would be a unpredictable offense. Shi and Laviska should be included in the plans but as gimmick or 4th options.
  12. I was just saying how I don't really see too many TE's this year that will warrant that premium pick. Mayer looks like money a likely 1st round pick. after that 2 might be 2nd round worthy. the third is where I start looking for sleepers and value. I honestly think tremble could produce given a more reliable QB.
  13. I say let the chips fall as they may and take the guy who falls. Tight ends like Rbs are slightly devalued, very good talent will be available in the third at TE and RB. after mayer, kincaid, Washington, Kraft and Musgrave you got Laporta and others. Same with RBs after Gibbs and Robinson there will be like 5 RBS that could be productive.

    WRs

I'm not going to write off the prospect of taking a WR in the 1st or that high 2nd round pick. Hyatt, Addison, Johnston, Zay or any of the guys we have talked about could help the offense. I like Shi and Shenault but they need some seasoning and to make improvements to their skill sets. a guy to complement DJ is gonna be an asset. TMJ has potential but adding a guy should happen.
  15. I'm sorta on the fence with this. Yes I would like to see the team have a high scoring fun offense but.. how is it gonna effect the locker room. Wilks is really respected and well liked by the players. Would Wilks take the DC position under Ben? I'm intrigued to see how this plays out. Regardless I see big changes in the coaching positions. New DC, new OC, etc. I hope we keep the OL coach and the DB coaches though.
  16. 1. Chicago - plays the phone but for arguments sake takes Anderson. 2. Houston - Young 3. Arizona- also trade down option like Chicago but in this scenario Carter 4. Indy - CJ 5. Seattle - surprise pick first WR off Addison. 6. Detroit - Levis 7. Oakland - AR 8. Atlanta - Murohy top DE or Chicago and Arizona both trade down and Young, Stround and Levis go one two three. AR still doesn't make it to us cause Anderson, Carter, Murphy and whoever the top corner is go then Oakland takes AR. Atlanta goes DE or WR. We sitting there with no QB. We will have options at DE, WR, DT, CB and LB. QB is likely off the table.
  17. yeah I know but let's wait on this kind of all in draft move till we closer to a complete roster. give Wilks a contract and two years to implement HIS plan.
  18. I wouldn't. we have too many other deficiencies. we need a young corner, a linebacker who can man the middle, a difference making tight end, a pass rusher across from burns, a ball hawking free safety, a fast deep threat to join DJ and TMJ, a better long term option at LG to develop beside Icky etc etc. if foreman leaves in free agency we are gonna need to either add to the committee or add a bell cow type. And it goes on and on. Let everyone grab up the QBs pushing the top defense guys down to our spot. build a fast nasty defense and a bulldozer rush offense.
  19. the Buccaneers lines are decimated. vita, Wells and Wirfs are all beat up or not playing. we have the advantage in the trenches. our secondary is the walking wounded ( horn) reclamation desperate moves ( jno) or burnt toast ( traylor) they have the advantage. Brady vs Sam lol. even at his worst Brady has the advantage. receivers and RBs I think are fairly even with a slight advantage for us actually. special teams is also a wash. slight advantage cause Succop is getting used to being a last minute clutch guy. Fournette, Godwin, White, Evans and Brady scare me if they play well. on the other hand if Burns, Chinn, Brown, Moore and Foreman have good games we should win. X factors for us is Sam, JNo, and TMJ. If these step up that puts us over the top. prediction we win. saints play spoiler next week.
  20. actually I think linebacker should be in that mix. even over TE.
  21. I like Vorhees and Mohamed the best. believe it or not I don't see getting two tight ends. tremble ain't no world beater but he still has room to grow. Jalen Carter is a unstoppable force but another first round DT? A defensive end is more valuable than a rotational nose tackle. sorry not sorry big JC isn't gonna play every down 350 pound men need a breather. too much offense and low value positions at premium spots. not a fan dude.
  22. keep him if possible. no low ball disrespect offer but let him test market. 2-3 years market value and add a later round RB rookie to fill the gaps if he gets injured. is Blackshear around for a bit or is a 1 year rental? if so he is another guy to offer a deal but not crazy money. going into next season with Chubba, Foreman and Blackshear with a young guy with a chip on his shoulder for not being drafted earlier would be the way to go. we really can't afford to use a high pick on RB with all the other needs.
  23. Shenault has talent. we should find a OC that can use it. TMJ needs reps and confidence. Moore needs a QB. Shi needs time to develop. I like our WR group we just need to open up the offense a bit. That said I like the jumbo packages and running the ball down their throat. Introducing some deeper throws, play action and more creative play calling is the next step.
  24. nice take man. our linebacker group used to be arguably the best in league. with teams poaching our 2nd string we were so good. now we might be struggling to put a Corp together. of the guys you mentioned Owen, Trenton and Noah are my favorites. I would add Nolan Smith to that short list as a possible replacement for Shaq. unfortunately I can't see us using a premium pick on linebacker with our other needs so we gonna have to get lucky and also hope Brandon Smith makes strides during the off-season. the free agency bunch are talented but some are long in the tooth. Personally Trenton Simpson ( home state kid) is my fave but he looks like a 1st rounder. believe or not the secondary and DL look closer to completion ( minus another DE and FS) than the linebackers who need a legit MLB of the future and depth.
