  1. One thing that is always overlooked is how much the QB is a factor in how the line looks. Darnold is getting through his reads quickly and being decisive. Wilson is not. Fields is the same. If you go watch Kurt Warner's breakdown of Fields vs the Browns you will see that at least half the sacks he took were avoidable if he took the throw that was available before the sack.
  2. Also find it hilarious that Seth Wickersham, the guy that has written all the big Patriots exposés over the years and someone that Pats fans hate is the only one picking New England
  3. I’ve always really liked checks notes Dan Graziano!
  4. Or we BS’d them about it to get the 5th rounder coming back. Lot of possibilities
  5. They play a lot of cover 1 and cover 3. We should attack it with a 2019 LSU favorite, 989. They ran it like 10x per game. Robby and Terrace on the outside running verts with DJ in the slot running a deep post. Let Sam cook.
  6. He has looked and sounded like that in the 5 or 6 interviews I've seen of him going back to college and high school. That's just the way he is. Nothing wrong with it.
  7. I almost have to believe some of this is coaching because they don't want him to outkick the coverage and give up a big return. You don't just lose that much distance without some kind of catastrophic injury and we also haven't brought any punters in for workouts which indicates the staff doesn't see a problem and I have to imagine being last by far would normally be seen as a cause for concern. Swapping out the punter is like one of the easiest things to do in the NFL personnel wise. Further evidence is that we traded for that Buffalo DE right before the regular season and his biggest asset is supposedly covering on ST.
  8. As sold as I can be this early in his tenure
  9. Possible that part of it could be coaching, i.e. let’s sacrifice 5 yards to ensure we don’t don’t give up a big return Also, small sample size and we have punted on some short fields. Gonna wait a few weeks before panicking.
  10. Agreed but the main thing that would hold him back is learning the terminology and signals. There could be a lot of crossover with stuff he already knows. Schematically I don’t think we are going to really be doing anything he hasn’t done before at least as a CB.
  11. Wondering if the disconnect in Jacksonville was them wanting him to be more vocal, social, talkative, etc. and they tried to force it on him which made him pull back which would not be surprising in the testosterone fueled, alpha male filled field that is football. The solution might just be as simple as leaving him the hell alone and letting him be himself and do his thing. With our focus on mental health and sports psychology that should be something they are able to identify.
  12. I mean that is literally what they do in meetings every week. Kurt is basically playing the part of the QB coach for youtube but with less dip and cursing.
  13. He asked it in about the most harmless way possible too. Not like he straight up asked him if he had mental problems.
  14. Panthers are black and don't get to change to white when it's hot outside so we should never wear white when it's hot because that's a sign of weakness and not true to our identity as actual panthers.
  15. Blue with white pants is mine and it should be the default color uniform over the black which I have never really liked.
  16. We should wear blue to remind them of last time EDIT: Turns out we are actually https://www.panthers.com/schedule/jersey-schedule
  17. I find it interesting that he looks smaller to me compared to Jaycee when we know for a fact they are the exact same height and weight. Might be that he wears bigger shoulder pads so the perspective is off.
  18. It was pretty clear there was no groin injury when Rhule said they expected he would play against the Cowboys before he had even arrived in Charlotte and gotten a physical. Only way he could have possibly known that is from the Jags during the trade talks when they likely said there was no injury and they were shutting him down until they could trade him.
  19. Tuesday is typically a nothing day. Rhule talked a bit about him Monday in his press conference but CJ hadn't even arrived in Charlotte yet. I'm sure we will see and hear plenty about him today with there being a practice and post practice press conference.
  20. David Newton will definitely be the one asking
  21. CB is also extremely easy scheme wise. There are only so many things you can do as a CB. Man, cover 2, cover 3, cover 4, blitz then various techniques(leverage, press, off, etc) on top of that. There are a lot of different defensive schemes but a CBs individual role is pretty limited as far as quantity of things to do. They aren’t really ever used in disguises or anything. It can be made to work for sure.
  22. 1. No because that is offseason type nonsense. We are in the middle of the season and he needs to play catch up. 2. No because that is definitely not the type of thing Henderson would be interested in doing.
  23. It’s a fair point. There is almost no big game in the spotlight with high expectations experience on our team even among the vets. Hell, even looking at their college careers there isn’t too much of that. Although, I think they might just be too young, naive and cocky to even realize they’re supposed to be nervous.
