  1. Yea I was confident enough to place a bet on draftkingz then I remembered our road record w/ Bryce. I can't recall the exact # but im pretty sure its close to 1-15. That said, Maye at home is 2-5. Literally a roll of the dice
  2. I gotta say our ST deserves some kudos. Tracy Smith has put together a nice lil squad. I was watching this video earlier and it's noted how we've been attacking teams. Gotta love that effort and conditioning. Right around the 5 min mark after Vrabel says he studied our "dirty kick" for about two hours last night while getting ready for Sunday's game. Ransom, Bam Martin, Tremayne, Incoom,Dalevon Campbell, etc have all looked impressive on coverage at times this season. It's early but Fitzgerald was also great pickup for Dan, especially being a UDFA rookie. Kudos to Martin and JJ as well. All we're missing is a reliable returner with speed. Hopefully Etienne/Dowdle/Horn will turn into our version of Ginn this season. Side note: Give the assistant ST coach a permanent seat on our sideline..we need Darren Bates with that type energy.
  3. I gotta say Ima fan of subbing out Wallace for Moehrig and bringing in Ransom. I just wish we had a little more talent to rotate out Scott and Roseboom. They know the defense so I get the why ... Offensively, I'm holding out judgement until I see this unit with Coker. I've been seeing improvement weekly BUT we gotta figure out the pass rush. What do we have like 1 sack?
  4. I don't get this FO sometimes. Our gm was a linebacker .....how do we annually neglect that position? It's not hard to see It's a pretty glaring need. Roseboom is not the worst but he's far from the answer. He should be relegated to ST and the 3rd team reps. It wouldnt take much effort to instantly upgrade.
  5. If we do to New England what we did to Atlanta then I'd say the floor is 7 wins. I think we've already seen the worse of this team offensively between week 1 and 2. I just hope we havent peaked already. 1-2 teams...32% chance at hitting the playoffs. If we drop this one it falls to 14.9%. Ima just need for us to look competent this season.
  6. 1. True...which is crazy since most of us celebrated when he was hired. I'll never forget the press conference where he was so convinced he'd finally b the coordinator able to get Jeremy Chinn back on track. 2. Canales: I thought this guy was supposed to be the QB whisperer. The new wave of offense in the league... nope.
  7. The only thing saving my sanity is the fact that the Jags were unfamiliar territory. First year HC...new offensive and defensive playcallers. Maybe we looked so bad because we didn't know what exactly to expect. OR maybe I'm just giving them another excuse for another piss poor opening weekend. Either way, we should get atleast one more time to see what we really have vs Arizona.
  8. Esp wit KB going down for the year. I don't think our defense got enough credit that year....SMH.. Josh Norman's first half of that season was CRAZY. We ended up with the league offensive MVP + two Defensive player of the year finalists. That D had an at peak Thomas Davis, Kuechly, Norman, and Kawaan Short. Iirc they were all named All-Pro. The team as a whole had double digit Pro Bowlers... Yea im not getting that same vibe from the current squad.
  9. I'd quickly take Sam Franklin Jr and Tony Jefferson at S, Corley @ WR and Restrepo (try to get them on PS atleast). Still need a competent ILB and maybe edge insurance.
  10. Idunno but I feel like the starters will end up playing tonight. This seems too familiar to last offseason ...almost the same situation.
  11. DLew is a massive human and probably our best lineman at the moment..Wharton was still a solid pickup and yea we massively overpaid for his services but that's just the reality when your a team with 7 consecutive losing seasons. Once the games count he'll show up. We might not get our $$ worth (top 10- 15) but he's undoubtedly a couple steps up from Tuttle. Him, Brown+Brown+ Robinson should make a very solid lineup in theory.
  12. But we cut Clowney???? Maybe Scourtin's lung issues fueled this. 2 impact players, a draft pick and his salary...idunno
  13. We're really missing Franklin, Johnson and Franks.... hell I'd throw in Farley too. But specifically Franklin was a ST monster...easy to see why he had more than a dozen contracts offered to him this offseason. Incoom played his role well on ST in that first preseason game, atleast the first half anyway but we still have ALOT of work to do.
  14. This!!!!!!! The first and last sentence. X100!!!!... And idunno y but I always got the hint Evero was that type of guy. Probably for how he handled the Jeremy Chinn situation. Guess it would make that DJ Johnson pick finally make sense to me.
  15. I get good vibes off Barnes. Im hoping our scout team pulled off a Luvu type signing when we brought him in. If he was just a little more consistent he'd definitely be one of our starters imo. Wallace should be improved, Rozeboom will be flying all over the field, Barnes is my guy and I'd wager that Bam makes the team as well. I still say its our weakest position on D though. If we get into the season and it becomes an evident liability, surely Morgan will patch up the problem being a former LB himself. I'd hope so anyway.
  16. Let's see.. Jags Cardinals Falcons Patriots Dolphins Cowboys Jets Just looking at the first 7... Im thinking we need to exit those with atleast 3-4 wins. Extremely possible but that's the optimist talking.
  17. Think I saw yesterday that our first 7 games are against non playoff teams from the previous year... Hopefully we start strong
  18. TMJ would perform at training camp and then go blank in game. He ended up being a worse version of Lafell, which is crazy after you realize how much natural ability he actually had at LSU. Our resume of drafted WRs is terrible lol. Lafell, Marshall, Mingo, Funchess, Jarrett...smdh.. One would think that we would start targeting WRs that could create via routes. It just took our FO too long to understand that.
  19. Oh hell nah lol. But maybe I'm just od'n on hopium. If our defense can cap it off at 21-28 points a week and we aren't .500 by the end of the season, it would mean we're probably looking for another QB. As long as we stay relatively healthy, I dont see why we couldn't win 9 or more games this season. I assume the FO is just looking to improve on last year, which would mean 6 wins... 3 more shouldn't be outta the realm of possibility. Which would have us fighting 4 a wildcard position.
  20. I remember last season wondering how Moore made it over Smith Marsette but in the final Qtr of games I understood. Him and Bryce have a nice chemistry and he's an extremely reliable option for the just in case. We'll carry 7 WR's on the 53, I'd put money on it. That said, Coker is most likely safe imo.
  21. I think he'll make the 53. I like his Green Bay film better than his Arizona's but he still walks in the door as a solid depth signing at minimum w/ ST value. Hopefully as he develops this turns into a Luvu type situation.
