Lots of game left -
Tight game. Our defense needs to snap back into it and get Taylor panicky. He shouldn’t be playing this well. We’re moving the ball. Defense: clamp down, offense: Get high powered

That was just well executed by WFT. Need to generate more pressure without blitzing

Terry is balling. Unfortunate but true. We need to blanket his as$

How does this Cb situation play out going foward?

I think Bouye has been great and we should just stick with him. And really retain our same unit next year. We’re also fine if Gilmore wants to go elsewhere but I actually think Henderson may be the expendable one. Horn-Gilmore-Bouye-Taylor is stout -
Another question to consider is QB room allocation. Most teams have what? Around 40 mil invested in the room. If Cam plays respectable to keep for 2-3 years, I’d negotiate a modest deal and look to draft. Sam’s contract wouldn’t impede a ton on re-signing other players. The issue that comes into play is if we’re trying to dish out a 25 mil+ contract to a vet starting next year which I don’t see happening. And if we really need the cap, do think us paying half plus a throwing in a 6th for like a 7th could work for a team with dog poo backups. It’s something.

I want to know why he’s been at LG for so long. Wasn’t he aight in Minny year one at C and then sh*t everywhere since at OG? Or am I thinking wrong? -
The only way I could swing it is that having that money towards him in 2022 was because if we fail with him, we're going with a rookie's contract. Therefore, at the least, thinking Sam was a stop gap/backup (apparently not) and his 5th yr option+rookie contract is pretty average, if not, a tad less than most QB rooms in the league. We could still structure a back-heavy deal with a vet if we go that route but that pretty much set us out of contention for a top FA QB. But were any of them really coming here anyways? Sam is a negative asset so we'll need to pair him with a future pick to get that 5th year off our hands for a late rounder.

Live look at Matt Barkley outside of Panther facilities

Haha! If I were Tepper I would force them to release PJ Walker instead to disprove their preferential behavior to him. -

Forgot that locale, and ohh man am I happy to not drive I-25 anymore. Biking in Wicker Park has gave me years back haha But damn, with knowing that it must truly be something else there.

Having lived in DC, SoCal, and now Chicago it takes a lot for me to consider traffic bad lol

I'd recommend the burbs of Chattanooga, TN or Greenville, SC by the sounds of it.

Honestly, Slater+Cosmi could of been our R1+2. That's a pair of linemen right there for an offensive rebuild. I love Marshall's potential but I don't know if it really made sense with the line to build.

PJ WALKER'S 2021: Preseason-- 16/39 (41% completion), 252 yards, 1 TD Season to date-- 3/15 (20% completion) 33 yards, 0 TD LET'S GOOOOO -
Wednesday press confernce - Darnold out 4 weeks. IR likely.

They're smoking some serious sh*t. His preseason was: 16/39 (41% completion), 252 yards, 1 TD Plenty of QBs available after that last game. They should've known to find someone else to backup Sam at that point if they REALLY thought they had a playoff team outside of the QB spot. -

I know Cam is the popular "what if" right now but honestly, but we gave away Kyle Allen for what amounted to Kenny Robinson. Rivera is playing Heinecke because he's pulling a Rivera but by all accounts, I think Allen is better. He would've been a completely reasonable plug starter/life time backup. Now we're all over the place with the Teddys, Darnolds, PJ Walker, and Matt Barkleys of the world. Could have just stuck with Allen until we found an obvious upgrade. -
Totally in agreement. A fishing trip with an 80-90s coach did not suffice. He needed coordinators who understood how this all works from practice to game planning to adjustments at this level of play.
-
Might as well draft a QB because we sure as hell aren't convincing the top 1-2, or maybe any of the top 4-5 QBs in FA available to come here.

Tepper should know to not appear too flippant. Us making every which move at every sight of struggle is not indicative of a good structure. I could see 1 more year but it depends on how poorly the second half of the season goes. Still have a lot of games left to be played.
