According to Legette, Panthers will draft Legette at #33

There is also not a lot separating them from DBs… -

I think those teams would be a great fit for him. He would be option 3ish, plays designed for him etc. So for those teams he could be a high pick. For us I don’t see him being a fit until the 3rd round, but by then he’ll probably be gone. -

I agree, super likable guy, exciting to watch, but still raw despite being older. Wouldn’t take him in round 2, but would consider in round 3 if he’s there because the Panthers need day 1 starters with the two 2nd rounders. And he’s not a day 1 starter. -
This one is unrealistic but fantastic:

PFF Day 2 WR projection. Different take

He was pretty bad a deep throws in college, so it was not a surprise that carried over to the NFL. -

I don’t mind Wiggins at 33, trading back from 39 and missing out on another starter on the other hand… -
Draft Rumors/Charlie Campbell Notes (Per r/NFL_Draft)

That is concerning. He was my #1 guy, but that is a rough injury history -
I don’t get the obsession in trading back, moving out if a potentially great player at 33 and 39, and net a fourth rounder or similar. It makes 0% sense. Only way I would move back is if someone lost their mind and offered us a ridiculous return, I have no interest in the value chart. We need quality, not quantity. It was one of the many reasons Fitt was terrible.

Agree with you on the BPA. I know Philips at CB is someone Brugler was tweeting about the other day, and I trust his opinion, so that’s why I went with him. Not a fan of some of the other CBs projected in rounds 2-3. Would love Wiggins to fall and take him at 33, but I don’t think that will happen.

We should be able to get another really good player this year, as long as the lottery doesn’t mess anything up. What are your favorite players? I don’t know that much about him, but the SG from Kentucky looks like a ridiculous shooter. +50% from the 3pt line!

This is probably my dream scenario. I would go for any of the big three Cs with the first pick, Barton just happened to be there:

Great write up, I would be with be super happy with your picks at 33 and 39.

Spotrac: Carolina Panthers NFL’s top offseason spenders
Martin replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Snyder started out by spending tons of money on big name has beens. Very different imo. -
The thing is that he didn’t play his senior season in HS, sat his FR year in college and only started two seasons. He is wasaaaasy further along that the other QBs were at the same point in their career (maybe outside of Caleb). They are comparing him to older players that started 5-6 years in college. I don’t get it to be honest. Old QBs do not have a good history in the draft

Here’s Brugler’s take. He could definitely be worth a gamble with our pick in the 4th round. What does this mean for his draft stock? Despite an All-American 2023 season, Sweat entered the draft process with several questions to answer in NFL team interviews. According to a team source, he was up front with teams about his “partying” as an underclassman and made it a point of emphasis to teams that it was all in the past. A DWI charge three weeks before draft weekend obviously won’t help give NFL teams confidence about his off-field decision-making and focus. Because of these concerns, Sweat is a very hard player to project in the NFL Draft. Based on feedback from teams, my best guess is he will still be available as we start day three of the NFL Draft in the fourth round. — Dane Brugler, national NFL writer

Drake would have been my #1 choice over Caleb.

One of my favorites. He should fall to the third round at least, right? But can he be trusted moving forward? If you can’t keep it together when the draft is 2-3 weeks away, not great.

Matt Miller: 1st round could have 8 WR’s
Martin replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have a feeling that either him or Chop Robinson will be there at 33, and if so it should be a no brainer. Not sure how good of an indication mock drafts are, but both have started to slip to late 1st, and occasionally, early second lately.- 48 replies

What about Dawn Staley as a potential new coach? Tremendous college coach. Lots of energy and charisma. Probably a long shot, but I’m intrigued.
