Rhule was trying to "hold" the lead today ?
shaqattaq replied to JABANOG's topic in Carolina Panthers
I could when I was younger, but now I need a while to regroup. -
Can he be placed on IR from the PS? I tried googling it, and I'm not sure.
-
Cool. And Daley being out in addition to the starters likely affected it as well.
-
I'd like to see this option, even if we start with Current Starters: Erving-Elflein-Paradis-Miller-Moton. I have major concerns about Erving lasting all season, and think that Moton-Elflein-Paradis-Miller-Christensen is more of a when it happens instead of an if it happens. Christensen impressed enough yesterday for me to want to see him vs the starters.
-
Christensen doesn't concern me since his snaps came at 2 different positions. Quite the contrary, it tells me that the coaches have plans for him sooner rather than later. I wish I knew the breakdown between his snap count at RT vs LG. Due to alcohol consumption and declining interest in the 3rd string players' sloppy play, I didn't even realize that he had moved until mid 4th quarter.

Who/What are you watching for vs. Baltimore on Saturday?
shaqattaq replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes to all of the above. If Darnold comes out and plays 2 smart possessions, I've seen all I need to see. Bubble wrap him and let PJ have the reins. IF Erving can't go, put Moton at LT and let Christensen get some snaps at RT1. Chubba ran hard, but left some easy yards on the field with those drops. That will not do. What else? I am jonesing to see Tremble line up at h-back and lay some wood! It's unlikely that we see that much in a preseason (vanilla) game, but a boy can dream. I also want to see him catch more passes, that was fun to see! -
Announcers apologized for the crappy Fox coverage in Charlotte, but in Wilmington, it was spot on.
-
The good news is that they are depth, which gives them time to heal. Is Daley hurt, if so, does anyone know what the issue is?
-
It also sheds some light onto the coaches moving Moton to LT while Erving was out instead of starting Scott there.
-
You also have to take into account that 2/3 of the players on the field yesterday don't even make the team, let alone get meaningful snaps. http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/19800000/-Two-Monkeys-a-Panda-Fanart-modern-family-19827078-500-564.jpg

Who was the best Carolina Panthers player today?
shaqattaq replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Definitely year 2, IMO. I'm of the opinion that we have a decent chance of picking up a wildcard spot this year, although I know it's way too early to have more than a gut feeling about that. Marshall, Hubbard, and Tremble flashed. Christensen and Brown held their own on the right side of the line. Shi made a nice catch. A LOT to be stoked about. Not to leave out the D rookies. Nixon and Hoskins looked decent (not a glamorous position), and Taylor made some plays, as did Luvu and Fisher at LB. -
And, other than getting some names wrong, he was crazy smart, and had insights all over the field, not just WR. My favorite quote from yesterday, "that flag is for being stupid!", against a Colts DB.

Not going to lie, I clicked here expecting to see videos of pancake blocks. I was wondering what game Sax was watching, and how I missed them.

I was impressed with Taylor Moton's interview yesterday

Hell, It would be best for me to go out and find a Swimsuit model nympho who loves to cook and has a trust fund, but there just aren't that many out there to find! -
Nixon played against the 2's and Hoskins the 3's. I'd love to see them flip that next week to see if Hoskins still has the same success. I do have Hoskins sneaking onto the 53 man roster unless we pick up a cast-off from another team somewhere.

David Moore didn't get as many touches being a vet, but I was impressed by him as well. He looked to be PJ's favorite target right off the bat, and made some nice catches. WR and DE are definitely our deepest positions. -
2 other players to give shout outs to for this play: Christensen, even though he was initially pushed around by the DE, he was smart enough not to hold when the DE turned around and negate a big gain. A lot of guys playing in their 1st ever NFL game wouldn't have had that restraint. Marshall, he comes from all the way across the line and darts down the field after Hubbard looking for a downfield block. I loves me a blocking WR.
-
IDK. Scott has taken more snaps at RT in camp so far, and I have never heard of Little moving to that side of the line. If I had to guess, AT THIS POINT, Scott is 3rd string LT and RT. Christensen may have just leapfrogged him at RT2, or will as he gets more accustomed to being on the right.

So was Chubba. I love how pissed he was that he got caught on that 60 yard run. That's how you know he's a baller, he takes one 60 yards and gets visible mad that it wasn't a TD. I wish his hands were a little better though, he dropped a couple of easy catches. -
First quarter observation; Franklin and Tremble looking good. PJ not looking too bad as far as keeping place alive with his feet. David Moore is not ready to give up wr3. Haynes making plays, but he was already a rotational guy. Hubbard looks pretty good running The ball. The bad; left side of the online, especially Scott. I was high on him coming into the season, but he looks slooooow. The good news, is that the right side is holding their own. Deonte Brown and Christensen aren't standing out, which is a good thing for oline. STO looks out of place at corner. I still think he might make a better safety.
-
The only scenario I saw was trading back, and drafting him to be a backup for at least this year. But there's too much talent sitting there at number 8 to pull that BS.
-
Apparently, neither did Rhule and Fitterer.

Yelling "Look out!" from the side line is the ONLY thing RR ever did to protect Cam in his 9 years here!

They should let Smitty run routes against him and just talk poo for a few hours. Smitty is undoubtedly a first ballot HOF poo-talker!
