He's not. A lot of excuse making for Evero in here. His defense is a bend don't break. He knows the players he has and he still hasn't tried to do anything different to generate pressure. The term JAG gets used a lot with players. It should also apply to coaches. This secondary is actually holding up decently, even though his scheme is putting all the pressure on them. He has no imagination and is doing absolutely nothing to help his secondary out pressure wise.

I agree 100%. Our secondary is far from being a liability. Our trash Dline and weak linebacker are our biggest problems. Linebackers would look better if we had Brown playing. The Dline needs to step up, but I don't think the talent is there. Even when Wonnum comes back, we will not be able to generate enough pressure or stop the run consistently.

Giving way too much credit to Shaq. He would be on the bench on an average team.

I think Legette is going to be okay. Time to sit Mingo and see if Coker has anything. Mingo ain't no DAWG!.

Definitely on the optimism train. Mingo needs to go sit on the bench. Put Coker in for Mingo's snaps and see if he has any DAWG in him because Mingo doesn't.

The biggest issue with this defense is the line and Evero. The more I watch his bend don't break schemes, the more I get pissed off. He doesn't even try to pressure the QB. Hardly any blitzes from linebacker or even a corner. He has no imagination. I think our secondary has a chance to be top tier, if they didn't have to try to lock down the other teams receivers for 4 plus seconds. This Dline and Evero's scheme is @ss.

At least this game was worth watching the whole way. I'll take it!

Our lack of a pass rush is my biggest concern for this game. Should be able to score enough to keep it close, but Burrow will pick us apart, if he's given time. Probably a last possession type of game. 31 -28 panthers

I'm not sure of this. Our defense hasn't gotten a fair assessment because our Offense has been so putrid. Time on the field is critical for even the best defenses. I believe Ejiro Evero is going to get the best out of what he has. Not sure everybody appreciates how well our DLINE maintained a "pocket." They encircled Minshew, while our secondary shutdown the short to Mid leaks. Minshew couldn't roll out of the pocket and get those off schedule throws he is known for. My 2 cents!

That's absolutely worth nothing in NFL dollars. This is why I believe, unless there is some mega stupid offer, Bryce rides the bench this year (barring injury) and is forced to compete for his job next year!. I would play him in EVERY pre-season game and show case him regardless if I was going to keep him or not.

Whole lot of Bryce talk this week, and we can't do anything about that. Come on Red Rifle, give me some fireworks, some love, some REASON TO EVALUATE THE REST OF THIS ROSTER. You are our compass, guiding light and beacon to what we have on OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE. FOOSBALL!

Agree 100%. Another thing that is getting on my nerves is the whole "shell shocked" excuse. Sure, Bryce got sacked a lot last year. I watched every game (Yes, I enjoy pain I guess). I don't recall a single hit where he truly got blasted. He was not Carr'd. Carr was getting obliterated on some of his sacks. Carr was around when the defense was still allowed to tee off on a QB. Bryce hasn't earned that excuse IMO.

No Bryce, it's not out of your hands. You're the one who needs to stand up and get to work.
