Some of you just talk right out of your ass without using any basic logic. It's really infuriating. This deal does nothing to prevent DJs. Nothing.

I felt like Grier did what he could yesterday. Receivers weren't getting open and he wasnt given a ton of time in the pocket. In fact, he made some sleek escapes from pressure protected the ball.

Kenny Robinson has earned a look with 1st string next week. Has stood out among the other guys.
-
Which is why they should have given up on him as a tackle and moved him to guard a long time ago. At least his size and strength will mask his lack of agility.
-
Maybe I'm not seeing it clearly but it looked like he was playing the ball. I wouldn't have had a major issue with that play as a coach. I'd remind the guys that we are teammates and to play smart, but that was not a malicious hit.

Analyzing the 10 OL who should make the roster
XClown1986 replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think we go into the season with: LT Erving LG Christensen C Paradis RG Miller RT Moton And I think we end the season with: LT Christensen LG Brown C Paradis RG Daley RT Moton with C/G Moore and C/G Elflein taking heavy reps rotating with interior guys and T Scott being our number 1 swing tackle -
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not
XClown1986 replied to CPsinceDay1's topic in Carolina Panthers
It is hard when you consider that Morgan Moses would be taking the roster spot of an offensive lineman that is younger with more potential, while also taking up a significant chunk of the cap. Signing Moses could mean the end for someone like David Moore who would need that 9th or 10th spot for O-line. And David Moore's upside is much higher than Moses'. -

The issue, to me, is that if Washington's offensive line was so stout, it wouldn't be purging starters and replacing them with a rookie and a low-level starter from Chicago. Morgan Moses is not going to do more for our offensive line than what we already have, and we would have to overpay to get him. -

Ideally? Christensen Brown Paradis Moore Moton Because that will mean 3 rookies EARNED the starting jobs over vets and still have room to grow and build chemistry for the next 3+ years.
-
Well Gross' measured arm length was one inch longer than Christensen's. I think that, coupled with being a 25 year old rookie, is what made him slide. But he has all of the tools to be a plug and play starter. And he could very well be playing part of his prime on a rookie deal.
-
If Brady Christensen's arm length was 33", he may have gone in the first round because his tape is so good. I'd say the job is his to lose.

Breakfast is considered to be the most important meal of the day and you have a scheduled Q&A during lunch, can you elaborate on how that might speak to how you value your readers?
-
This has now become a thread to ask questions of Joe Person in the style of Joe Person. So Joe you're having lunch, can you talk a little bit about that and how this lunch might be different than other lunches you could have had?

Dolphins Releasing Starting S and Team Captain Bobby McClain

What is his SPARQ score? -
A couple things are very clear after watching some of the analyses on Darnold. 1 - His improvisational skills and ability to extend a play are great. He is a player that CAN be the difference. Teddy was not that type of player. 2 - His interior offensive line was absolute garbage. Van Roten got destroyed routinely, McGovern could barely handle the guy he was assigned, and Alex Lewis was solid at times but was hurt for a portion of the year. Fant at RT was basically Byron Bell; he would get in the way and if he latched on to you he was good, but he got torched by speed and bend. Becton was the only solid piece on the line. AND his backs? Terrible in pass pro. 3 - Darnold played some damn good defenses last year. Darnold had to play that Bills defense twice, a Belichick defense twice (though shorthanded, they were still coached well), and a Miami defense that proved to be much better than anticipated, twice. And that was just his division. He also played the Colts, the 49ers, the Chargers, and the Seahawks. 4 - He made guys look better than they are. He is owed a nice 'thank you' check from Breshad Perriman for his ability to make him look like a solid number 2 receiver acting as a number 1 for portions of the season out of necessity. Behind his offensive line and with Crowder, his top and only receiver, out for NINE games? Breshad Perriman was the only starting wideout to play 12 games or more. And no running game to speak of. 5 - Darnold can make every pass. He really can. His arm strength is a little overblown, but his touch is vastly understated. He can throw on the run, he can throw between defenders, over defenders, and throw guys open. He is a legit NFL arm. 6 - All of that being said, Sam is a gambler. He perhaps trusts his ability too much at times. I realize he is trying to make something happen, but oftentimes his risk-taking resulted in failure. He has a little bit of Favre and Delhomme in him. He wants to take shots. That can be both exciting and frustrating. He will need to be more controlled to make this offense work. He doesn't have to risk as much now, but that seems to go against his natural instincts. Can he be coached to take calculated risks? We will see. Overall, I think the 2021 Panthers will be much more exciting to watch with Darnold at QB. It may not work out, but it won't be for conservative play.

Burris is more of a SS and a big nickel. We are lacking a true FS with starting potential on the roster. Kenny Robinson fits the profile better than anyone else and he is a huge question mark. -
Anyone know why Nixon slipped so far?
-
Pick coming up for Panthers soon Simi Fehoko WR, Tommy Doyle OT, Daviyon Nixon DT, Dylan Moses LB, Caden Sterns S I expect all of those guys to be in consideration.

Round 3(a) - Carolina Panthers Select BYU OT Brady Christensen

32 1/4 inch arms is very worrisome. But he has every other tool to be successful.
