Also remembering when Delhomme took a cheap shot from Lance Briggs, then got up and walked off the field pounding his chest and saying something along the lines of "It's gonna take more than that, motherf---er!" Mayfield reminds me a lot of Delhomme. He's more athletically gifted and talented, and Delhomme was more...diplomatic (off the field, anyway) but there are definitely some similarities in their personas and playing styles.

I kinda get the impression that particular target was already there.

Just remembering that Jake Delhomme's first words when he entered the huddle for the Jacksonville game were reportedly "Hey, get your f---in' heads up. We're gonna win this game!"

To be fair, he kinda did. Not like he posted this on social media or said it in a press conference or anything like that. Granted, anything you say to a sideline reporter (especially one for another team) has a chance of getting out there.

He's not really that good anymore. I'm not really sure he ever was as good as his hype.

Ellis Williams says the source was Bills sideline reporter Cynthia Frelund. Frelund would be a reliable source, so yeah I don't think it's "alleged" anymore. Hey Rayz, you wanna take "alleged" out of my thread title?
