  1. Spam Spam Spam. Food of the Vikings. Maybe our luck will change if I try to appear as one of our opponent's supporters...
  2. Wearing purple and having Spam for lunch. I figure that I've been wearing Panthers colors each game so far, and sticking with NC foods... maybe I can play the old Uno Reverse card here... Still, I'm worried it's going to be Vikings 74 Panthers 9.
  3. It was kinda cute but the technical difficulties were a bit too numerous. Still, great effort on their part.
  4. He needs help, man. It's not funny, it's tragic.
  5. Most of those posts seem to have come from the Carolina Panthers Team Account. I think the rest of us have seen his game slide over the last three years...
  6. Announcements like that are usually a desperation ploy. I wouldn't take bets right now on there even being games next season. And yes, the NFL could use a minor league. Perhaps Europe is the place for it.
  7. Okay so, back in training camp it was such a major news story that when they were going to have a sit down with the offensive line guys, Bryce stepped forward and said he'd like to lead the discussion and tell them how they needed to work in this scheme. It was an amazing show of his grasp of the system and the people involved in it, a real leadership moment foretelling how great he was. They said. Maybe the scheme is so basic that a rookie without even a pre-game snap was able to explain it. Imagine what a defensive coordinator with years and years of practice and observation could get from looking at it. And then turn a bunch of sack monsters loose with the knowledge that the scheme is that easy to pick apart. The word we are looking for here is: roadkill. Wide-eyed roadkill. We were confident that a rookie QB could explain the line's assignments and the theories that went into making up the scheme. A rookie. And we're wondering why it won't work.
  8. Far too early to grade any of the first rounder QBs yet. Far too early to really grade any team, to be honest. Three weeks in and we really don't know anything. It's just maddening to watch games go spinning away from us week after week. Hopefully we can stop it.
  9. This could be a very Miami-like scoring situation if we're not careful.
  10. Two 0-3 teams going into this game. One will walk out with a done season in front of them, all hope lost. The other gets to limp away and stay in the fight, bruised, bloodied and staggering but alive. If we don't win this game, at home, then it's going to tell a whole lot about what we have ahead of us, maybe even beyond this year. And that Minnesota offense is for real. Our DBs are broken and our defensive stars are completely spent by the third quarter. We're going to need Brian Burns to do more than make a first quarter highlight reel play and then spend the rest of the game trying not to get hurt and ruin his trade potential. I wish I could be nicer about it, but sometimes you've just got to call them like you see them.
  11. And people complain because our fans will start heading to their cars in the fourth quarter. They know.
  12. Fools and suckers are in on every deal. That's why they are encouraged to participate in them.
  13. Once again, man, thanks for putting this whole life and football thing back in perspective for us. Continued prayers for you and yours. Better days ahead.
  14. DJ has always been a first rate human being.
  15. Discipline and preparing the team for the environment they will play in is VERY much the coach's job.
  16. Problems beget more problems.
  17. The last QB Reich developed was... The last time Josh McCown was the starting QB for a team three seasons in a row was... We didn't hire coaches, we hired third rate consultants.
  18. And then they hired Reich instead of Wilks...
  19. We got suckered into trading CMC for a bag of beans and then got suckered into taking Sanders without wondering why the Eagles would just let their starting RB go without much fuss or bother... We are suckers. All day suckers.
  20. Prayers for you and yours friend. That's a tough, tough row to hoe you've got, but man your family is lucky to have a strong, dedicated and loving person there to take care of them. Keep being strong and I hope some smoother spots are ahead for y'all. And thanks for giving all of us some perspective on what really is important in this world, and what is just a few hours of something that might be entertaining at most. Keep fighting the good fight. Edit to add: A vet can prescribe something to put in the dog's food that will keep him from eating his own poop. It basically makes it taste too bad for him to do it. Like that had to be a thing...
  21. I've been saying this since he got here. And I've been told I was wrong again and again. Tell me I'm wrong again.
  22. Burns disappears after the first half, and sometimes after the first quarter. He blows through all of his energy blasting into the back field early on and then just gets taken out of plays. I saw a TE just blocking him out a few times, unassisted. And he's no help in the run game whatsoever.\ Not that anyone we have is much good in the run game. Offense or defense.
  23. This is sad but we were better off with Rivera than we were with both his successors combined. And that's not a high bar for Rivera to beat. I thought I'd never seen a poorer job of play calling or preparation before Rhule came here but Reich seems even worse. Every offensive play that worked today was off schedule and was Dalton having to improvise or go to the third or fourth receiver. And Fitterer traded away CMC for... basically a poorly done draft pick and the opportunity to pick up Sanders and his nifty 48 yards per game. This is a poorly coached, poorly built team. And the poor fanbase has to sit through this.
