  1. Y'all better put respect on Derrick Brown's name. Dude is a monster. That is one of the hardest plays you'll see from a nose guard in the NFL.
  2. We're correct to force the read option to go to the dive. We're wrong for not getting downhill.
  3. TMJ is either going to be Funchess or Moose. There are no other options.
  4. This offense needs to be treated like Jake when he took over for Peete. Let your run game control things, let PJ rip it to the playmakers once they adjust on the run.
  5. Moton being a problem. PFF still gonna say he's a great RT.
  6. Foreman is a workhorse back and we need to feed him.
  7. Losing at the line. Gotta correct that. Also need the offense to actually stay on the field.
  8. PJ showing why we drafted a kid and signed a guy. He's a solid backup QB. He's not a starter. Missing throws that he absolutely has to hit. Couple questionable decisions on throws. Think the pressure of this game being for the division has him rattled. He doesn't look bad necessarily, just off. Of course if you insert Baker, and he has batted balls and missed throws, you're no better off.
  9. Let's not lose our minds entirely ok. Big road trip just ended, it's early in the year, and we've not played badly out of the gate. It's a long season. If we have problems in a couple weeks I'll be concerned but we tend to do this early in the year and by January, we start clicking.
  10. I've not trashed Sam and this isn't a thread about Sam at all. So wtf are you talking about?
  11. Why are we shitting on Baker? Dude has been a standup guy the entire time he's been here. Sure he struggled, mostly with the batted balls and having Matt Rhule as his head coach, but he's been the perfect teammate as far as we can tell. Flat out said "of course I want to play but PJ is hot, so I'm helping us win by supporting him however I can and running scout team". That's big considering he's a first round pick who has only been a starter. Asking the GM if we're committed to winning after trading your most prized weapon? That's a team leader move imo. If Burns or Shaq or DJ did this, nobody would bat an eye or they'd be happy that a team leader feels this way. But because it's Baker it's a bad thing? Idk.
  12. You win. That's what sports are about ultimately. You don't piss away a season in the hopes of maybe turning it around. Took the Bengals and Browns forever to just be relevant again. Plenty of other franchises too. The key isn't throwing a season down the shitter to bounce back the next year or two years later, it's establishing a foundation and building off that. Done right? Can take a year or two or three but you're never realistically going from absolute poo to competing the following year and then maintaining that momentum. Hasn't happened in my lifetime. We are currently a competitive team. Not a good team, but we can be in games at a minimum. We should build off this, not throw to hope our draft picks pan out. We're in a position as it stands to be a playoff team next year. Hell if we steal the division we can do it this year.
  13. You don't trade your young, talented first string wr. A QB needs weapons. We have JAG running backs who are consistent, a very raw wr in TMJ, a role player in Shi, and then you have DJ. Our TE room is inconsistent. You absolutely do not trade DJ unless you're trying to lengthen the rebuild by another year or unless you're signing a true vet #1 to replace. DJ is safe barring somebody selling the farm.
  14. Went with the Sapphire Pulse 6800 non-xt and holy hell is it a beast. Enabling SAM has my CPU (5600x) ticking 80°c occasionally while playing through the mw2 campaign on max settings but GPU temps, after I adjusted the fan curve, stays frosty with a peak hot spot of 72°c. Probably need an aftermarket CPU cooler but fug, this is incredible lol
  15. What's better for the health of a franchise? To tank for a lottery scratcher at QB, hoping you hit or to win the division/strongly compete for the division and start building a sense of pride and work ethic and winning culture? If you say the former, you've never been involved in sports to any serious degree.
  16. I've said all year he is our #2. Now with Robbie gone, DJ can assume his true #1 role and flourish. Jaw Pain is gonna get comfy at flanker. Shi is going to be more open underneath as a result, and Tremble will get more opportunities finding soft spots in zones. This is the best case scenario.
  17. So athletically good but fundamentally flawed? Got it. Get him the fug out of here. Gimme Boze. If Boze can't get it done, find somebody who can anchor it. Season's gone anyway, let's have tryouts
  18. I am gonna need somebody to explain how Elflein has had a solid year because he blows blocks all game every game. Wtf are people watching?
  19. You don't trade your WR1 on a whim after you've traded your best offensive weapon and RB. DJ isn't going anywhere. Any other receiver is free game though for a day two pick though.
  20. I think Foreman could legitimately hold down the position for another year if need be, provided he protects the ball. He's a 4 ypc back I think, will never be a guy teams fear but he will do what we need him to do, which is be steady. No need to reach for a RB unless there's a can't-miss guy there.
  21. I have a sick two year old and 8 month old, the two year old demanded The Iron Giant at 10 (and I'm a sucker when my kids don't feel good), so I missed. Somebody give me a quick and dirty run down?
  22. Attitude reflects leadership. This team is led by fuging half assed idiots.
  23. I for one welcome back the Jimmy Clausen era Panthers.
